We performed a comparison between JumpCloud and ManageEngine Endpoint Central based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."In terms of technical support, you will get an immediate response."
"We have found the solution is capable of scaling."
"Its protection policies are most valuable. It protects mobile devices as well as individual apps. It is pretty scalable, and its documentation is also pretty good. It is also pretty straightforward to deploy."
"Autopilot is the most valuable feature."
"The ability to (somewhat) manage full Windows 10 computers including EXE-based or MSI-based application deployments using Azure Active Directory as Identity."
"Users can make screenshots, and devices only need the minimal version of iOS."
"At the moment, Autopilot is the most valuable feature."
"One of the main features of the solution is it allows the management of many devices in different ways."
"After deploying to the cloud, we had remote device management on all of our corporate laptops."
"I am impressed with the product's remote access which allows admins to control endpoints which is a timesaver."
"The usual authentication and authorization, which were all controlled into one portal, are very convenient."
"The solution is stable."
"The most valuable features of JumpCloud are flexibility, policy management for devices, and device patch management. For example, we can limit access to devices only in Chile or send a number of commands to the devices to manage them."
"Azure Cloud services are on time and run well and if we use a JumpCloud, the benefits we receive are the ease of management and the solution is completely user-friendly. End users can do identity management easily."
"The UI is intuitively easy to use. It is easy to set up a user. I have found the group management to be pretty simple. You can group users, then assign them to groups of systems, and that relationship allows us to ease the management burden."
"The interface is clean and user-friendly. Setting up new devices or setting up new users inside the system is easy. Also, it integrates with Office 365, which is pretty much a must for our organization."
"The ability to run event viewer, task manager, services, command, file browser, certificate all remotely without interrupting users is the most valuable aspect. Software deployment and prohibiting, allowing us to standardize on the software that has been deployed through the environment and then prohibiting illegal software such as torrent applications has been valuable."
"It's a complete product that allows you to remote troubleshoot, has an inventory of systems."
"The most valuable feature of this solution is the Patch Management."
"Identification of gaps and filling the gaps with updates are most valuable. We are able to identify known updates or missing updates and then update."
"We use the product to know about our assets and manage remote support."
"Honestly, I have to say all features together have become the Swiss army knife of desktop management. They all work hand in hand. Software deployment saves an unbelievable amount of time installing an application on hundreds of computers."
"The centralized control of all of our Windows hardware that this solution offers has been most valuable to our organization."
"The product works perfectly for patch management and software deployments."
"I'm still playing around with it and haven't had any issues with the product yet, but support can definitely be improved."
"They can improve their MAM policies a little bit more and make them more granular. They should include more granular group policies. They are there, but they need to be more granular. Its stability should also be improved. It is not very stable. Sometimes, it shows some inconsistencies across tenants."
"The UI also needs improvements because it is complex for end-users. We have had feedback from a few users in our organization who found the UI is not feasible for tracking and analyzing all the processes and monitoring all the devices."
"In future releases, I would like to see better integration with Apple products."
"For an existing customer who has an SCCM, it would need to be upgraded to an MECM first before I can introduce Microsoft Intune."
"Additional application deployment options e.g. MSI deployment with more complex parameters or additional side-by-side files, and non-MSI deployment options."
"There should be more focus on mobile device security and integration."
"Microsoft Intune could improve by being more user-friendly and having it geared toward device management. The graphic interface is not very good."
"The capability to get alerts would be great when CPU or RAM is high on an endpoint, or when a disk is failing. It would be great to get an alert rather than having to go looking for it."
"Lacks the ability to have various VPN applications."
"The querying for users in Jumpcloud could be improved, it is sometimes difficult to use. When you're trying to query a user and you spell out their name, you don't receive that person. Sometimes you receive a list of people with the same first name or last name. This could be better."
"It could dip into CI/CD tooling as well. That would be a very interesting part to see."
"There are a few aspects that could be improved. Their API was a little spotty when I last used it, and some of those use cases were around removing systems from our environment."
"JumpCloud can improve in its synchronization of identities. More specifically, groups with Office 365. They've been working on it, but it's not where I would necessarily like it to be."
"They need more straightening of the SSO capabilities."
"A nice feature called patch management with different kinds of licensing is not included in JumpCloud."
"It is compatible with the systems such as Windows and Mac but not with Linux systems."
"Improvement should be done as per customer requirements."
"The Deployment scheduler needs updating to support various methods for deployment."
"I would like to see them come out with a SaaS version of the product in the future."
"ManageEngine could be improved by giving customers an option to perform certain actions proactively. Since I was a consultant, I worked on different products and some had advantages over ManageEngine. For example, proactive remediation—you want to proactively check something on the computers and run the script. In ManageEngine, you have the option to run the script, but Intune has the option to do so proactively. ManageEngine doesn't have this. You should have the option to act proactively, not just going ahead and fixing it once it's done. Proactive remediation should be a feature."
"There are occasional glitches."
"In relation to ManageEngine Endpoint Central, ManageEngine NGAV seems to be completely useless right now."
"There is a slight delay in customer support, which is something that can be improved."
