What is our primary use case?
My customer's usual use cases for SAP Business One on AWS include implementation, deployment, administration in a console for the access of the users, and providing the correct tools for the users in the company. We have a partner, SkyOne from Brazil. SkyOne is our provider for cloud currently, and we have hosting the clients on the cloud of SkyOne. In SkyOne, we can deploy all the tools that the client needed for working in SAP Business One.
What is most valuable?
The feature I have found the most valuable in SAP Business One on AWS is the deployment of the infrastructure and the auto scaling. Auto scaling for us is the dynamic virtual machines to deploy for the access of our clients.
The deployment of infrastructure and auto scaling are very valuable for me in SAP Business One on AWS. For deployment on AWS, it is the most powerful feature in that platform. The platform offers numerous tools for deploying infrastructure, dynamic VMware, virtual machines, dynamic software, and hardware requirements for scaling infrastructure specifically, from basic infrastructure to large infrastructure.
What needs improvement?
I think about the areas of SAP Business One on AWS that could be improved or enhanced. Currently, we don't have any problems or issues with the AWS platform. Sometimes clusters are down in specific regions or there are connectivity issues with resources, but I don't see this specifically affecting SAP Business One at this moment.
Some aspects could make SAP Business One on AWS more appealing, such as a more intuitive user interface or optimized configuration. The deployment process could be improved because some projects or clients have internal addons in the database, and these components can be complex for deployment. They require many components and libraries for running properly on the platform. However, if the deployment is basic or standard, there aren't any problems.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been working with SAP Business One on AWS for three years with a partner in the USA.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
I evaluate the stability of the solution overall as very stable and strong. Every four or five months, SAP AG, the partner from Germany of the product, delivers a new version with the package of FAP, future package or patch level. That version includes many features and corrects issues and bugs. With that, we can maintain our clients with the latest delivery version stable; it is a stronger product and ERP that improves with each version.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
I evaluate SAP Business One on AWS as very scalable. I have extensive experience with the ERP SAP Business One. We can improve every day to bring better service for our clients. We can improve in the schedule time for SLA for deploying faster specific infrastructure, for example, in manufacturing business. I mention that project specifically because the area is more complex. As a company, we need to improve the internal tasks and external tasks for deploying better, faster, and securing the platform for our clients in that area of business.
How are customer service and support?
I evaluate customer service and technical support of SAP Business One on AWS as dependent on every partner. For example, at H&Co, we have a matrix of service for our clients. This includes time schedules for critical events, critical issues, standard issues, and low priority issues. We have specific policies about attending to our clients on the platform. It depends on the partner, as I'm not familiar with how other partners work with customer specifics for SAP Business One.
How would you rate customer service and support?
How was the initial setup?
My experience with the initial setup and deployment of SAP Business One on AWS involves my co-workers in infrastructure who have deployed tasks for implementing the infrastructure more efficiently and quickly in AWS. They have extensive background for deploying the infrastructure of our client. Then, as consultants or in technical functions in the ERP SAP, we can start to migrate databases, install components of the ERP, deploy add-ons, reconnect the Crystal Reports, test connections, and deploy the ERP with all functions and access for our clients. I regularly participate in the initial setup and deployment of SAP Business One on AWS.
What other advice do I have?
Currently, I am working with a SAP Gold Partner for SAP Business One, working with numerous projects utilizing tools such as Crystal Reports for SAP Business One, Crystal report for extensions, data transfer workbench, and Excel. I have approximately eight to ten years of experience with Crystal Reports and have developed numerous reports for different projects including manufacturing, retail, and services.
I assess the impact of SAP Business One on AWS integrated modules for sales, distribution, and purchasing as beneficial for all kinds of businesses. Currently, we have a client in the USA, MC8, Master Concession Air, which is an airport. They have SAP Business One on SAP HANA with us at H&Co. Additionally, in Colombia, Brazil, Argentina, and Costa Rica, we have clients in retail and resellers, and in another country, we have a client using dealer management system for cars and workshops.
I evaluate the advanced reporting and analytics capabilities of SAP Business One on AWS as strong. For some specific clients, the basic package of dashboards is basic, and we need to develop personalized dashboards. In that scenario, we take the requirements of our clients with the reports, samples, and data, and then we can develop the dashboard, Crystal Reports, or whatever our clients need.
I evaluate the role of SAP Business One on AWS in automating routine tasks as effective. We have specific areas and departments that correspond to infrastructure administration. Each area has specific tasks, including infrastructure, SAP Business One consulting, support, and client service.
Regarding pricing of SAP Business One on AWS, I can access the console for testing and dimensioning the scaling of software and hardware requirements in the platform. The pricing depends on factors such as enterprise contracts and vendor relationships. The price varies based on the size of the features, infrastructure, node, and cluster.
I am an integrator, reseller, and consultant for SAP Business One on AWS. On a scale of 1-10, I rate this solution a 9.
