We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The best feature of BMC TrueSight Orchestration is the number of integrated mechanisms it provides.""The best thing about TrueSight is the user interface, which is intuitive and easy to use. It supports accessibility and exporting, so we can output to the format we require. We can use TrueSight to integrate nearly any other product. I can't think of another product that can match this functionality. We also have Microsoft Orchestrator, but it can't match BMC TrueSight Orchestration.""The initial setup is easy. The deployment was done in an hour.""We particularly like the integration functionality of this solution. This product is open API, which means that it can be integrated with any solution from any other brand.""The product has a very good triggering mechanism.""This solution is scalable.""I find the provisioning to be the most valuable.""The automation helps in payment transactions through BHIM app. The BMC helps in smooth clearance of all payments without using MasterCard or Visa. The solution is ready to use, and there is no need for customization or resources. We can complete integration over cloud and on-premise, and even using mainframes. The automation are secure through BMC TrueSight Orchestration."

"This tool set makes it easy to integrate current processes and increase adoption rates and usage for the tool, as well as the process changes to update it on the fly.""The strength of this solution lies in its connectors and the accessibility of an open API. The presence of an open API allows users to create custom connectors if necessary, provided there is access to the source API documentation. Additionally, the platform features a straightforward yet highly effective forms tool. This tool not only seamlessly integrates with the workflow functionality but also facilitates the transmission of information to the document generation tool. This comprehensive integration is particularly noteworthy when compared to alternatives such as Oracle, which tends to rely on more complex and separate logic for similar functionalities. A key strength of Nintex lies in its user-centric approach to help documentation. The materials are designed to be easily understood, avoiding complex terminology. In cases where technical terms are used, they are linked to articles for further clarification. This contrasts with platforms like Microsoft and Oracle, which may employ technical jargon without clear explanations. Nintex further supports its users through a robust online community, fostering collaboration and shared insights. Additionally, Nintex University offers online training across all applications, following a role-based structure. Unlike some other platforms, Nintex's training is thoughtfully broken down into shorter courses, focused on specific roles. This approach ensures that users can efficiently access the information they need without navigating through extensive and potentially irrelevant content, as may be the case with Oracle's training structure.""I like the feature of getting an email for a workflow error, then I do not have to go through every instance.""Only Nintex has the feature which allows attachments to an email.""The most valuable features of this solution are that it's no code, it's very flexible, and it's easy to design.""Our solutions using Nintex has been most successful in automating HR processes because it allows you to easily and rapidly build solutions that conform to the unique business processes for each entity.""I think that it adds value to any organization, mainly in terms of business applications where you need workflows.""It is very easy to use."

Cons
"The solution should move to the cloud. Every application from the BMC is on the container and moving to the cloud. There is also a number of limitations for the smart reporting feature of the TrueSight server which is not working in sync. We did not get any satisfactory reply from BMC on that note. We are not able to do the real-time sync between HSA and non-HSA service reporting tools and the actual application tools.""BMC TrueSight Orchestration is difficult to understand. It's not very user-friendly.""Regarding scalability, the architecture does not allow you to add additional servers just able to use two application servers, so it's not scalable.""The solution is not user-friendly.""We are aiming for AI automation and look for support from BMC. The features are currently missing but we are hoping for some upgrade in this matter.""At present this solution is only available to be hosted on-premises, which can cause network issues when integration with cloud-based software is attempted.""The architecture of this solution needs improvement, it is very complicated. It creates a lot of problems in our environment. Most of the time I am trying to find and solve the problem.""It would be helpful if TrueSight could log errors in a better format. I would also like to see more connector support. Let's say I have a third-party vendor that I need to integrate with Ansible. It would be helpful if BMC announced a specific connector for that. I've encountered situations where I need to work with scripts or find another way to integrate a particular product with TrueSight Orchestration. BMC already supports many products. For example, we have a connector for Ansible, but I think it needs to be improved some."

"The cost of the solution is high and has room for improvement.""I would also like to see the BPM features from Pega implemented, that have to do with the implementation of AI, and the robotics.""Currently, it's taking quite some time to deploy a package, it needs improvement""At times, issues arise in certain scenarios. In such cases, the versioning can become quite difficult. There may be no other way but to restart the entire process or rectify it at that point.""Nintex is still at the starting point of integrating with AI. It has integrated with a very small piece of artificial intelligence., like only integrated with the Google Cloud. There is a benefit, like a no-code and low-code solution. But, again, if you are a developer, especially if you are a hardcore developer, you are using your code knowledge, its skills, and all. And, suddenly, you are moving into the low-code solution, and then you will feel, like, so many things you can't achieve with the low-code solution.""We would like to design parallel workflows and long-running workflows, along with new features for connecting to cloud-based systems.""The license pricing is too high currently for Nintex Workflow.""It's very tedious to manage."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "Licensing is per lot, or per agent — one agent is one license."
  • "There is a huge cost saving with BMC TrueSight compared to other solutions."
  • "Regarding pricing, it comes with the package when you buy the server automation. But it's made depending on some agreements for companies, of which I don't know the clause."
  • "Licensing is available in different ways and depends on data being consumed by users and nodes being operated."
  • More BMC TrueSight Orchestration Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "Nintex products are expensive, but valuable. Licensing in on-premise was historically based on a perpetual model, where you’d license per Web front-end. However, they are switching exclusively to a consumption (subscription) model, where you purchase the number of workflows you think you’ll use in your environment, and can scale up from there."
  • "Offering a licensing model that allows for multiple small workflows would be a huge improvement to an already great platform."
  • "Our maintenance costs are reduced."
  • "The annual support costs are expensive."
  • "Comparatively, it's expensive."
  • "We pay on a yearly basis. It's my understanding that we pay approximately $11,000/year."
  • "The initial investment in K2 is heavy. Currently, the expenditure is $28,000 for a year. After we go to the cloud, it is going to be per seat and probably cheaper. Currently, there are unlimited users."
  • "There is an initial fee when purchasing and a fee for maintenance afterward."
