Prominent pros & cons

PROS

Nintex Process Platform effectively automates business processes, including HR and IT solutions, without the need for extensive infrastructure.
The integration capabilities of Nintex Process Platform extend beyond SharePoint, allowing for seamless connectivity with various systems including LOB data and RPA toolsets.
The platform's low-code approach facilitates rapid development and customization of workflows with minimal coding required.
Nintex Process Platform's SmartObjects technology enables data separation from applications, supporting complex data integration from multiple sources.
Users benefit from comprehensive support and training resources, including a robust online community and role-based training through Nintex University.

CONS

Built-in reporting on-prem is limited and clunky; Hawkeye is emerging as a solution, but as a V1 product, it’s not very useful yet.
Nintex seems to be server-intensive, which is a reason for moving to a different product on the SharePoint 2016 platform; Office 365 solution is not as mature as on-premise.
Copying workflow actions from one workflow to another is not possible; integration with Visual Studio or SharePoint Designer would be useful.
License pricing is too high for Nintex Workflow; initial investment in K2 is heavy because it's BPM software.
Nintex lacks additional RPA and AI features; it has only integrated with Google Cloud for a small piece of artificial intelligence.

The Vizio-style designer that runs in the browser is, to me, by far the most valuable feature of the solution. It means that the customer doesn’t have to install any client tools to create powerful workflows.

It is very flexible because you can design your own main forms, but if there were some templates according to your market, it would be more useful for a new customer. That would make K2 more user friendly and easier to use.
