Positive features enhance collaboration but room for improvement in file syncing
Regarding Microsoft OneDrive for Business's versioning control, sometimes there are syncing problems. Microsoft OneDrive for Business is available on the cloud as well as on my local machine. When we put a file in Microsoft OneDrive for Business on the local machine, it takes some time to sync, and sometimes it gives an error, which is a specific issue I have encountered. If Microsoft works on the syncing part of Microsoft OneDrive for Business, it would greatly enhance its functionality. Sometimes we update a file, and it isn't showing on another end, which requires us to run a sync again for it to appear. That part, if addressed by Microsoft, would be great. I love SharePoint more, so I will provide feedback in relation to that. SharePoint has only one folder, and we must create multiple folders within that to store files. If they introduce a categorized option, similar to SharePoint where we have team site differentiators, and options for creating communication sites, that would be fantastic for Microsoft OneDrive for Business.

User finds integration useful but seeks improvement in interface intuitiveness
I am satisfied with OpenText Documentum so far; it has great integration capabilities. The connection with our API and SAP is useful, as you can use their SAP interface. The key point that my company decided to go with OpenText Documentum is mostly because you can integrate it with many other tools such as Salesforce.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Microsoft OneDrive for Business is easier to use because it has all the tools integrated with SharePoint and Teams, and Microsoft Office is already inside the office, making it the least problematic to implement."
"The ability to share documents is a valuable feature of this product."
"The feature that I have found the most valuable is that Microsoft OneDrive works with any Enterprise Cloud Solutions Office app."
"The most valuable feature of the solution is the amount of space allotted to each user that is issued a subscription."
"Some of the best features I appreciate most about Microsoft OneDrive are the simplicity to map different kinds of SharePoint files that are stored in the cloud."
"We use Microsoft OneDrive for file sharing without the need for additional hardware (such as flash drives or external hard drives)."
"Scalability is good just because it is a cloud-based product."
"What I appreciate about Microsoft OneDrive is that internet access is all you need."
"The stability is very good."
"The most valuable feature of OpenText Documentum is the versioning."
"It provides possibilities for us to save documents and supporting the business process while doing so."
"OpenText Documentum has improved availability and performance in our organization."
"The most valuable feature of Documentum for our content management needs is its ability to segregate access based on department and role."
"The most valuable feature is the management."
"The most valuable feature is the good automation engine, which helps in reducing the development cost and allows easy development of applications."
"The stability is very good, and sometimes we have connection issues with the DocBase Java Method Servers or DocBroker services because our project is about 400 megabytes and very big, but the designer works hard to resolve it."

Cons

"Microsoft tech support is terrible — everyone knows that."
"Support has not been the same since the beginning of COVID lockdowns."
"An online video player would be great, since sometimes you have to download the video to play it."
"The file structure insight could be made more flexible like for creating more flexible folders."
"I think it should be more user-friendly with more tutorials on the full scale of the program."
"The website could be improved. Sometimes I try to login and the website has issues, I can't retrieve my documents."
"If you are using it strictly for your local machines — as a sole backup — it is not a good idea."
"The solution has sub-folders, which are visible to various team members. If you want to ensure the information is private, you would need to have a certain level of seniority in the office."
"OpenText Documentum needs to improve its support."
"The price is quite high as the licensing prices are significant."
"The biggest issue for us is the price of the product."
"Several sub-products, like RMA and RPS are really bad stability-wise and many other aspects."
"One area for improvement in OpenText Documentum is its handling of outdated documents, especially technical ones."
"An area that needs to improve is how to reduce storage space on the AWS site."
"They should develop something so that bugs don't happen in our project. We make changes manually and some bugs happen."
"The product needs to improve the way documents are logged together. I believe running it on the cloud or containerization will bring value to it. The tool's Time to Market and deployment cycle need to be improved. Finding suitable training materials for OpenText Documentum is also a bottleneck. If we can find the training modules easily, we can bring together people, give them quick training, and start working on the deployment. It can help with quick outputs."

"The licensing is expensive and on a yearly basis."
"This is a pricy solution, given that we are only using it at 50% capacity."

"We pay a lot for the Enterprise version, but it is a premium service."
"The product is expensive."
"OpenText Documentum has announced a new licensing model, which could be more expensive."
"It falls in line with a lot of things that are out there on the market. There is nothing extraordinary in terms of great or bad."
"OpenText Documentum's pricing is good."
"The price is considered affordable now."
"It is quite an expensive product."
