The platform enhances operator training efficiency by supporting the definition of complex commands and checks that minimize user errors.
With exceptional performance and stability, OPS/MVS Automation Intelligence offers a comprehensive out-of-the-box experience designed to streamline operations and reduce repetitive manual tasks.

CONS

OPS/MVS Automation Intelligence is challenging to use due to its reliance on coding syntax rather than offering an intuitive interface.
Scalability is severely limited, primarily because of the outdated architecture.
Implementing various functions is ongoing despite an easy initial installation process, making it complex.
Smooth operation, particularly during a stop/restart, is hindered, which can start undesired tasks without specialized coding.
Documentation for CA Common Services interfaces, like Zdata Mover and Zmessage Service, is insufficient.

Valuable features include: SSM, which provides for orderly startup and shutdown; OPSLOG, which enables filtering by message-id, and/or jobname(s); Rules, as OPS/REXX interface streamlines deployment, interfaces easily with JES2 and z/OS.

OPS_MVS Automation Intelligence works well if you know the syntax very well and you have experience in creating scripts or REXX syntax; it would be very good and is a good tool, but it takes time to learn, so that is for experienced staff to work with.

One thing that comes to mind is the MQ interface. The last time we tried to use it, it seemed a little clunky.

The interfaces to USS, CA UIM could be better. CA Common Services interfaces - namely Zdata Mover, Zmessage Service, Zdatacolletcor - are poorly documented.

My impressions on OPS_MVS Automation Intelligence is that it's quite difficult to use, as it relies mainly on the coding syntax and doesn't provide an easy-to-use GUI.
