Enables management of multiple operating systems with a single license
The best feature is that it's a Microsoft product, so if anything goes wrong, we get quick support for anything required. Remote system functionality allows us to sit anywhere and take control of any device via remote management. We can enhance security for clients' laptops with built-in Microsoft Defender, which is available with the Microsoft Intune license. We use it for reporting purposes through endpoint analytics. When pushing scripting, there are two types available: remediation script and reservation script. Through endpoint analytics, you can push defender policies to clients. It helps with reporting, inventory updates, and monitoring tenant status health.

Great for remote support sessions with no maintenance and excellent technical support
The remote support session is great. We really like ISL Light. That's what we use all the time. We use it almost every day. Some people use other solutions like Splashtop, for instance, where you can do unattended support. Personally, I don't like unattended support. I would worry if it would be secure. There's no way I'd want someone logging onto my machine when I'm not here. With this, I log to ISL, I give them a pin number, and they have to physically type in the pin number and physically agree to them sharing their screen. It's much more secure than some of the other solutions like TeamViewer and Splashtop where you can do unattended support. It's more secure than any of the other products out there, available at the moment. The stability is great. It's got very good uptime. The technical support is great. Setting up the solution is easy and there's no maintenance involved.

Inexpensive with useful screen monitoring and screen sharing capabilities
I'm using the latest version of the solution. I'd recommend others switch over to Zoho. It's flexible and highly efficient while being very user-friendly. If users have remote sessions, it's quite useful; however, if there are no remote sessions needed, the solution itself isn't very useful. I'd rate the product nine out of ten.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The most valuable features in Microsoft Intune for me are application deployment, Defender deployment, and asset management."
"Microsoft Intune is unique in providing management for all operating systems, including macOS, Linux, Android, and iOS."
"Intune saves time, and it is very easy to use. It allows us to manage applications completely."
"Microsoft Intune is reliable, scalable, and user-friendly."
"We can implement a MAM policy in this Intune and protect the device through mobile application development without touching it. The interface is easy to use and understand."
"The most valuable feature is that we can manage workstations or Android devices remotely without needing the device to be connected to our local network."
"Overall, the stability is good."
"At the moment, Autopilot is the most valuable feature."
"I personally really appreciate the file transfer feature as it is really easy to use."
"The most valuable feature is safety."
"We can also monitor our systems at any time from practically anywhere."
"Setting up the solution is easy and there's no maintenance involved."
"ISL Online is easy to use. It provides a single platform on which we can do everything, and it's very low maintenance. After installation, you don't need an IT manager or staff to watch over it. It's secure. It's most important for us."
"It's much easier to connect with other services, and it's working great. We haven't had any problems."
"We like drawing utilities inside ISL. That helps us mark specific regions on the screen, so that end users know what to focus on."
"The solution has a lot of features. It does what it is made to do and that's all we can ask for, really."
"Screen monitoring and screen sharing, as well as screen remote control, are all very useful features."
"It is a scalable solution. "
"Technical support is easy to reach."

Cons

"A new Intune feature allows application packaging, but it incurs additional licensing costs for a significant number of applications."
"If you wish to block any App Store application, there is no way to do so."
"I would like to see better integration with Microsoft. There are a few things I can still do with Jamf that I am unable to do with Intune yet."
"I would like to see micro VPN. I like the way that some of the other providers have done something similar where, as you open that app on an end-point device, it creates a micro VPN straight into your device, which is quite a nice little feature. Also, Microsoft Intune relies heavily on its fellow products in the suite. It would be nice if Microsoft Intune could stand on its own two feet."
"The scalability could be improved, and like most other MDM products, Intune is good but not 100% there yet."
"Intune should support platforms other than Windows. We have encountered several limitations, especially when handling iOS devices."
"The interoperability or communication with a different platform can be better. It is a two-way street. It is not only about Microsoft. The other platforms also have to be willing to share some information, but that absolutely can be improved."
"Due to the abundance of features, there's a lot to organize, which makes managing and setting up the solution challenging. The setup is immense, and it would be good to see improvement in this area."
"We miss the possibility to communicate via head-set in ISL. At the moment, we combine ISL for visual communication with Skype for verbal communication."
"There have been times during updates when something wouldn't work quite right, however, they are quick with updates and quick with fixes."
"There could be a section in the menu describing the new features and changes."
"They should improve the integrations with other incident management software to be able to send the link directly from these platforms."
"They need to better advertise the features."
"I would like to be able to access and manage all brands of smartphones."
"It would be helpful if they had iSupport for supporting Apple phones."
"If there is an update or new feature on ISL Online, I don't know about it. I would be happy to receive a newsletter or notification of new features or updates."
"Support could be more knowledgeable."
"It could be integrated with IT management tools."
"They do have some glitches in the microphone and speaker, especially during remote access."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"There is a license required to use this solution. However, it was part of a bundle package. Microsoft Intune is far less expensive than other solutions, such as Workspace ONE."
"The cost of the license and the features are justified for myself as a technical person."
"It's a part of Microsoft 365 and E5 licenses. Microsoft's strategy of making every feature in Microsoft Intune paid needs optimization. Remote control is one of the basic features, not a luxury feature, yet we must pay for it. I"
"I don't have any problem as far as cost is concerned. It is bundled with our license."
"The price of Intune is included with the license for Office 365, so we don't have to pay anything extra for it."
"The Intune license model is costly."
"It's reasonable. They're not giving it away, but it's reasonable."
"Intune is moderately expensive. You can get the license bundled with Office 365 E3 or E5 licenses. The E5s are a bit expensive, but you get some cheaper solutions with Intune."
"We have a pay-per-use license available for 500 minutes within one year for 95 Euros. However, this option is not popular. Alternatively, we can purchase a one-year license for 339 Euros; if we need two licenses, the cost is double, and for three licenses, the cost is triple with a ten percent discount. For 99 Euros a year, we can open multiple sessions on the same computer with a multi-session subscription."
"Its scalability depends on the business model we purchase."
