Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The solution helps us to collaborate.""The initial setup is easy because it's all pre-configured.""If I'm addressing certain emails from banks — automatic emails, like OTP, etc. — I can create rules and forward that OTP to the specific email IDs. You can create rules and deliver mail to different groups using the forwarding feature. It's handy.""What I like most about Google Workspace is the Google Drive app because you can easily access it from anywhere and from any device. I also find the solution easy to use. It's user-friendly.""All the Microsoft Office features are available in Google Workspace.""We use Google Sheets extensively for things like sharing plans, data, test reports, and more.""The Hangouts feature is the most valuable aspect of the solution for us.""The product is user-friendly and knows how to appeal to a user. Google Docs accepts some of our requirements. Its most valuable feature is performance. The product's integrations are good."

"It supports end-users who tend to lock their devices quite frequently. Its conditional access policy helps us keep the users logged into their devices.""I haven't used other mobile device management solutions, but compared to SCCM, we eliminate a lot of on-premises infrastructure and maintenance by using Intune.""It allows our clients to have the confidence to centrally manage policies for security. It helps them in securing the organization from a technology aspect.""The ability to manage devices with different sets of policies is most valuable.""The solution appears to be stable and scalable.""It has improve our organization through the remote management of non-domain joined devices.""While I don't think you can ever have full visibility and control, Intune certainly allows us to see the applications being used and tells us if things like Windows patches aren't applied to machines. It does a good job. That visibility makes life a little easier.""We can securely manage both company-owned devices and personal devices enrolled in our BYOD program."

Cons
"I don't recommend Google Workspace to others. It's expensive. Also, Google doesn't have enough oversight on their partners, so you will face some difficulties dealing with them instead of directly with Google.""For Google Docs, if you upload a Word document up to Google Docs, it could mess up your formatting quite a bit.""I'm not sure if Google Drive has a customizing feature, however, if it did, then it would be better.""Google Workspace has limitations as a document or file management system. Without a workspace account, manual actions are required to perform tasks such as managing groups of people. Additionally, managing permissions individually is a time-consuming and inefficient process. It's difficult to articulate, but the process is not very streamlined.""It takes a long time to import the data from G Suite into another platform.""The cost could be improved. It can sometimes be a bit confusing figuring out how we are actually being charged.""The initial setup is not intuitive at all.""And I think Google Translate could add more features. For example, it could be integrated when typing in a document or a web browser like Grammarly."

More Google Workspace Cons →

"Sometimes, updating a client policy is very difficult. This needs to be improved.""While Intune works perfectly well, the only potential downside is that the deployment could be a bit complex for some users.""The feature that allows us to import the business application from the configuration manager to Intune is not very good at this time.""The solution can have some compliance problems in general and the end-point user can bypass easily the company policies in Intune.""There is no catalog for mobile access management (MAM) security.""We haven't really gone through all the features of Intune. We are just discovering them. Every day, we see a new feature that we want to apply, but what will be great for Intune is to be able to deploy apps in a simple fashion. We should be able to easily install various apps on the Windows platform, iOS, and Android. Currently, we have to write some scripts. It's not as straightforward as we would like it to be. It should be simplified so that we can do it just with three clicks—next, next, finish—without needing to write a script.""In terms of what can be improved, I am looking for better enhancements regarding Apple management, not only on the mobile device, but also on the laptop.""Sometimes, customers compare it with AirWatch, but the concept of Intune is different from other solutions. It's an application management app. It gets a bit difficult to explain it to customers, but it's not a product limitation. It takes a presale document or presentation to explain it to customers."

I agree with @Saiyed Shahab Ahmed. You should also consider the management overhead of having multiple productivity tools.

Intune is more recommended for Microsoft OS or Microsoft products. On Chromebooks, if you are going with Google tech stack of Office apps, Google Workspace will be your go-to option in this case.

    Reviews from Real Users

Microsoft Intune stands out among its competitors for a number of reasons. Two major ones are its ability to secure all devices under its management and the flexibility that the solution offers its users.

A computing services manager notes, "Its security is most valuable. It gives us a way to secure devices, not only those that are steady. We do have a few tablets and other devices, and it is a way for us to secure these devices and manage them. We know they're out there and what's their status. We can manage their life cycle and verify that they're updated properly."

The head of IT engineering at a financial services company writes, "The one feature we find most useful is the Mobile Application Manager. There are two types: we have the complete MDM and the Mobile Application Manager (MAM). We don't give our users phones, it is their own personal phone, and we need to allow them to have access to the company details on their phone. We need to create a balance between their own personal data and the company data. We deploy the Mobile Application Manager for them so that we won't be able to interfere with their own personal data."
