Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"When using ControlUp, the core feature that we have found valuable is its UI. It is a valuable tool to view the analysis reactions of a base core Level 2 or Level 1 team so that they can complete the necessary troubleshooting.""The most valuable feature is the granularity of visibility into the resources that are in use by our applications.""It shows you so many details of what's going on in that log-on that, if there's a problem, you can identify it in five minutes.""Security, uptime, and reduced capital expenditures are the main reasons we use ControlUp. So basically, the money that we consume is based on the amount of time we are using a service.""Integration with Netscaler and Scoutbees can provide a proper end-to-end analysis of the user's experience and give us a real ROI.""ControlUp has an easy installation process.""The script-based actions have allowed us to extend the core reporting capabilities.""It has a great career time monitoring tool."

More ControlUp Pros →

"SysTrack gathers a lot of different metrics on every single device including performance metrics and application-related metrics such as application usage and resource utilization by applications. It collects a wide range of different metrics, and from that perspective, it's a really good tool.""The visualizer feature provides end-to-end analysis on all the machines.""It is a stable product. I would rate its stability a nine out of ten.""When a user calls in and says that they are having slowness issues, this tool has the capability to show exactly where the performance issue is. The Resolve feature that they have is very good. It is one of the main features. They are doing a pretty good job with the Resolve feature in terms of showing endpoint performance on various factors.""The Resolve part is valuable. It allows the service desk team to perform a couple of fixes or things to mitigate an incident before it's escalated to L2 or L3. It's a cool feature. If you have the sensor activity for Outlook and something has gone wrong, even the service desk can take those steps.""SysTrack provides unique, real-time data.""When you search for a machine or a user, the way we get the information is very helpful. The GUI provides us with all the information about that machine that a user is accessing. It tells us about the CPU, memory, etc. The GUI and the details provided are very helpful.""I am impressed with the huge amount of information that you can get from the infrastructure."

Cons
"We'd like to see the mobile app working again so that we can get alerts 24/7. This is especially useful for the person on call.""ControlUp could improve the integration. Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop monitoring has better integration.""It can be improved by including script-based scheduling.""The most common complaint that I have heard, at least within our organization, is about reporting. They have their own reporting. It's just that it doesn't yet include everything that you can look at within the application. You can only report on specific metrics or collections.""This solution be improved by including load throttling tools. For example, I can identify a service where we spend a lot of CPU but I cannot restrict the service from ControlUp. I have to use another tool like AppSense.""The graphical user interface needs to be improved from version to version.""Something I would love to see from a partner perspective would be maybe a way to do this in a surface hosting provider.""Integration is always a problem, and we feel that we are doing our best and the service provider thinks they are doing their best. I guess if ControlUp's system could be more capable or if people could understand the integration part, that would be better."

More ControlUp Cons →

"The solution lacks AI in its analysis module.""If they can integrate some kind of remote administration tool, like the LogMeIn tool, it would be helpful for the DDS team members, as well as for the global team members. We need not search for an additional tool for troubleshooting purposes. Currently, we are using one tool for governance and then we have SysTrack for monitoring the endpoints. There are two tools, and we are spending money on both.""Certain features haven't been tested sufficiently and don't work well.""If I have my system running, and I'm changing my hardware in the VDI environment, I want to choose a date and see the difference before and after the event.""The interface needs to be improved because it looks ancient. If you have been working in IT for a long time, over 20 years, you might remember products from the start of your career that look almost identical to the way SysTrack looks now. The user interface is not user-friendly. When you first see the solution, it overwhelms you with everything. It's not easy to use, and it's not that intuitive.""The tool needs to improve the integration with third-party providers like Cisco products.""When I create a dashboard for a computer-based GPO or user-based GPO, I get details of all the GPOs, but the feature that we found missing is that SysTrack doesn't state how many seconds were required to apply a GPO. It doesn't tell us how many nanoseconds, seconds, or minutes it is taking to process or apply a GPO on a machine. This feature is not there. When there are major issues, if we have the processing time in place, it will help us to identify whether it could be an issue with the domain controller or something else. It would give us a clear understanding to engage other teams for resolving the issue.""Lacks flexibility with regard to licensing."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "We are satisfied with the price compared to other solutions."
  • "Personally, I would say that the only thing I could compare it to is another monitoring tool that we use, Nagios."
  • More ControlUp Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "It is on a per-device basis. It is not on a per-user basis. I was not much engaged in the licensing piece. I was only a part of the conversation about how we are going to scale up or down, but its price, for sure, is competitive."
  • "Cost-wise, SysTrack has a higher rate than other products, such as Nanoheal, but the features that SysTrack has aren't there in any other product available in the market."
  • "If you compare cloud solutions to SysTrack, which is on-premises, then SysTrack is cheaper. If you compare the cost of SysTrack with that of other similar solutions, the cost is similar. For each master server, there's a license. In terms of end user devices, the licenses are sold in multiplications of 10. That's one upfront cost. Once you procure the license, you can use the software for as long as you like. The maintenance is sold on an annual basis. Additional costs are related to hosting and include a SQL server license and Windows server licenses."
  • "I would rate the solution's pricing a six out of ten."

    Reviews from Real Users

Below are some reviews and helpful feedback written by PeerSpot users currently using the ControlUp solution.

A Chair, IEEE Consumer Technology Society - Dallas,Texas, USA at a non-profit says, “In terms of the public cloud, ControlUp's features make us feel very secure. Security, uptime, and reduced capital expenditures are the main reasons we use ControlUp. So basically, the money that we consume is based on the amount of time we are using a service. ControlUp offers a return-on-investment type of approach that helps us.”

A VP Virtualisation and Citrix Engineer at BlackRock mentions, “Solve is quickly becoming one of the most-used features. Its interface allows us to connect to all 54,000 monitored endpoints in real-time. The script-based actions have allowed us to extend the core reporting capabilities. Combined with the triggers, we have been growing their usage to fix things before they become an issue. Lastly, the controller view allows us to compare the configurations of settings side-by-side which is extremely helpful when tracking down the RCA of an issue.”

A Senior Citrix Remote Access Engineer at Rabobank comments, “The high-level view of the estate coupled with powerful administration tools has been great. We can see real-time performance and trends and can create triggers for common issues with associated scripts that can automate a lot of the previous manual remediation steps.”

SysTrack is a digital experience monitoring solution that is designed to empower users to track every aspect of their digital workplaces. Anything and everything that might impact an end user’s experience or an organization’s business productivity can be monitored by administrators using SysTrack. This solution contains many powerful tools that are designed to give administrators the maximum amount of insight into the inner workings of and control over their digital workspaces.

    SysTrack Benefits

Some of the benefits that come from using SysTrack include:

    • Leverage AI to aid in the processing of massive loads of data. SysTrack employs an AI algorithm that enables administrators to easily analyze 10,000 plus data points at any given time. This makes it possible for administrators to utilize and analyze their system’s data effectively without having to hire a large staff to pore over incoming data streams. Staff can now be assigned to areas of greater need, as the processing of data is partially being done by the AI algorithm.
    • Discover the root causes of various IT issues that arise. The AI that SysTrack uses digs down into the data streams that run through the networks they run on and mine them for information. This mining makes it possible for the AI to learn where issues arise and makes it possible for administrators to take steps to prevent such issues from arising in the future.
    • Identify areas where you have over- or under-provisioned resources. SysTrack’s AI provides visibility into many different areas of a user’s digital workspace. One of these areas is the provisioning of digital resources. It can make it possible for administrators to find areas where too many resources, or, alternatively, not enough, are being allocated. Administrators can ensure that resources are being appropriately used.

    SysTrack Features

When users choose to employ the SysTrack solution, they gain access to many different capabilities. These features include:

    • Customizable dashboards. Administrators can build dashboards that are most suited to meet all of their needs. SysTrack comes equipped with tools that make it easy for administrators to create the dashboards most suited to their operational needs.
    • Data visualization tools. SysTrack is designed with built-in tools that allow users to represent data as more than just strings of numbers. These tools enable administrators to transform data into easy-to-understand visual representations. Massive and confusing streams of data can be made more easily accessible for those for whom strings of numbers can be hard to interpret.
    • Digital workplace experience monitoring tools. SysTrack’s AI algorithm gives administrators the ability to keep track of every aspect of a user’s workplace experience. This gives administrators and IT professionals insights that enable them to prevent any sort of breakdown from occurring in their digital workplace environment. Users can monitor even the most minute aspects of their networks. Nothing will take administrators or IT professionals by surprise when they are using SysTrack’s experience monitoring tools.
    • Custom report creation tools. SysTrack comes with tools that enable users to create reports that address the areas that most align with their business priorities. These reports make it possible for users to track and keep records of how their workspaces are running.
