We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Its direct integration with all the other products that we have from Microsoft is valuable. We're using the E5 license, and we have a whole wealth of different products available. It just makes it easier to have everything from one provider.""For our office workers who are not based in Norway, when we order the PC, we can do some of the settings for them. These are standardized settings. We can set them up exactly as they are in Norway so that they're the same.""We are a remote company, and the product helps us manage the global endpoints. It helps us natively manage the endpoints in the cloud from anywhere.""We use a local Active Directory, but we weren't able to manage all our on-site systems without a solution like Intune, and we needed to deploy software like VPNs and other things. It's seamless now to to this through Intune.""Intune's feature that I have found most valuable is its auto-pilot feature.""The technical support of Microsoft Intune is good.""It is a helpful tool to manage BYOD policies.""Autopilot is the most valuable feature."

"It has facilitated zero-touch authorization events for our employees and their devices. Furthermore, Meraki Systems Manager plays a vital role in securing our notebooks.""We experience no downtime, no breakdowns, all the user readings are exact, and it gives us quick analysis so we can apply security measures.""The central management console on the cloud is fast and is the solution's most valuable feature.""The most significant benefit is that the deployment is quick and painless. You don't need a specialized IT department to implement and scale the network. It's easy to maintain, too. It only requires one or two network administrators.""It’s helped us manage our endpoints.""The web portal provides status reporting and ease of configuration.""The product provides a universal dashboard.""The proprietary standards and modules are the most valuable features."

"The solution has a very good log-in to the UI when compared to other solutions.""The most valuable feature of IceWarp is the chat rooms and file-sharing, they are useful. It is convenient that everything is in one place. You can easily share and collaborate documents, making the program's unity a significant advantage.""The groupware module is the most valuable feature.""The product is used very extensively in my company since we have around 1,500 users using it. Also, there is no requirement for any administrators to manage the product by the people who own the solution.""IceWarp has multiple applications that are easy to use for many people.""It has great communication capabilities for team chatting and web conferences.""It's scalable and stable.""Its price is the most valuable. It is definitely one of the lowest price solutions."

Cons
"The UI also needs improvements because it is complex for end-users. We have had feedback from a few users in our organization who found the UI is not feasible for tracking and analyzing all the processes and monitoring all the devices.""There's quite a lot of development that they can do within their Intune dashboard. I think there are too many lines hyperlinked to move you around. Others, in contrast, give you a simple dashboard and an intuitive administrative walkthrough.""There should be more focus on mobile device security and integration.""Sometimes, updating a client policy is very difficult. This needs to be improved.""The installation could be improved to be simplified.""Its configuration is fairly complicated. You have to do quite a bit of discovery to be able to deploy it for a customer. You have to ask them a lot of questions. So, its initial deployment is the biggest challenge. They should make it easier to deploy with the use of Wizards or something else. During the deployment stage, there could be profiles for the customers who are particularly wanting to use certain feature sets of Intune.""We haven't really gone through all the features of Intune. We are just discovering them. Every day, we see a new feature that we want to apply, but what will be great for Intune is to be able to deploy apps in a simple fashion. We should be able to easily install various apps on the Windows platform, iOS, and Android. Currently, we have to write some scripts. It's not as straightforward as we would like it to be. It should be simplified so that we can do it just with three clicks—next, next, finish—without needing to write a script.""The reports that are generated aren't so great. They don't give a lot of meaning so far, but that could be down to user knowledge than the actual reporting side of things. I'm not a big user of it, but I was a bigger user of MaaS360, and we used to be able to run weekly and monthly reports. In the case of any deviations. we'd get a warning immediately. That's not so easy to do or to get in place for Intune. This could be just a user issue, but when I compare both, that's the only thing that's lacking for me."

More Microsoft Intune Cons →

"One area for improvement in Cisco Meraki Systems Manager is the ability for more advanced users to make detailed and non-standard changes.""Security could be improved, and there could be more features that enable you to customize the end customer solution.""They need to allocate more energy in terms of their offering to devices that are not Apple devices.""The solution can be expensive.""The tool's pricing needs to be more flexible like Cisco's.""I would rate my experience with the initial setup a four out of ten, where one is difficult, and ten is easy. It is more difficult.""It doesn't seem to be able to establish some VPN tunnels with other devices in a particular way that such as an ASA can do for us.""The maintenance is average."

More Cisco Meraki Systems Manager (MDM+EMM) Cons →

"Our customers sometimes have problems receiving mail.""The tool's configuration capabilities are not straightforward. Apart from that, if I want to archive emails into a vault so that they can be retrieved again later, the integration doesn't work, and IceWarp crashes.""Although it is not a tool, video conferencing should be scalable and operate in a professional and efficient way.""I would like to have a trial for mobile applications and more documentation similar to Google Drive with mobile applications.""Although the documentation is extensive and in depth, you must familiarize yourself with it before taking full advantage of the product.""Support should be improved. Most of the time, the queries are not resolved within the SLA.""With multiple databases for VOIP, chat and web IMAP, maintenance is cumbersome.""The exchange compatibility mode is rather limited. Their technical support can also be better. They only provide online support, and there should be some option for escalating."

    Reviews from Real Users

Microsoft Intune stands out among its competitors for a number of reasons. Two major ones are its ability to secure all devices under its management and the flexibility that the solution offers its users.

A computing services manager notes, "Its security is most valuable. It gives us a way to secure devices, not only those that are steady. We do have a few tablets and other devices, and it is a way for us to secure these devices and manage them. We know they're out there and what's their status. We can manage their life cycle and verify that they're updated properly."

The head of IT engineering at a financial services company writes, "The one feature we find most useful is the Mobile Application Manager. There are two types: we have the complete MDM and the Mobile Application Manager (MAM). We don't give our users phones, it is their own personal phone, and we need to allow them to have access to the company details on their phone. We need to create a balance between their own personal data and the company data. We deploy the Mobile Application Manager for them so that we won't be able to interfere with their own personal data."

Every user is unique. Every device, a bit different. Systems Manager keeps the network in the loop about constantly changing devices, automatically tracking device posture and adjusting security policies to match.
