Admin gets the information about which computer has been infected and good to use for servers and endpoints
The important factor is that after implementing Bitdefender, we haven't found any attacks. It has a vaccine for the RDP protocol, which is specific to this. We do some customization, but it does not lack any protection. Compared to older versions, we have not found any degradation in performance in the newer versions from the last three to five years, whether for graphical or normal users. They're not complaining that we are facing problems like memory issues. Bitdefender is also customizable and granular, but once you install it, it keeps running. The admin gets the information about which computer has been infected and can take action accordingly. On a regular basis, Bitdefender's AI capability is okay. But you cannot leave some decisions to AI. You must have control. You have to look at what you're filtering, as it can be a false positive. But on a regular basis, AI can be helpful.

Great threat response, provides for proactivity, and has automated threat identification
In terms of the Pakistani market and talking from a salesperson's perspective, I'd suggest that Kaspersky introduce a bundle of Kaspersky EDR-Optimum or Kaspersky EDR-Expert along with its Business Select/Advance suite. When I say this, I understand the Pakistani market and how slow and less eager organizations are to invest in IT and internet security. Most of them don't invest until or unless they face any attack or network failure. However, in addition to the product, Kaspersky should give EDR-Optimum on the cloud for less than 300 users as well, in case any customer has its whole network on the cloud. That way they can easily use it.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The most valuable feature is the IDS."
"It is very easy to configure and deploy."
"I like its unified interface, which also helps you scan Outlook email, for example. Multiple products can be standardized across endpoints or the EDR solution, and the integrations with SIEMs."
"The solution is very scalable."
"In terms of threat detection, I would give it a ten out of ten since Bitdefender manages to catch threats that other products miss."
"I find Bitdefender to be very light. When we were using the other versions, users would complain that they would make the computers slow. But since we have deployed Bitdefender, we haven't had that."
"The product offers an opportunity to monitor the things happening in our network. It also has a comprehensive dashboard."
"The most valuable features of Bitdefender GravityZone Enterprise Security are remote administration and deployment, comprehensive firewall protection, malware protection, and antivirus."
"The most advantageous aspect is tracking and taking action automatically."
"The most beneficial aspect of Kaspersky Endpoint Detection and Response Optimum is its protection capabilities, followed by its device management capabilities. The ability to remotely install software is highly advantageous, making it a convenient and helpful feature."
"It protects against malware and secures the network."
"The solution's most valuable features are the advanced detection and anti-theft features."
"The product is lightweight and does not slow down the PC. The malware and virus detection rate is also very good."
"Kaspersky Endpoint Detection and Response Optimum have met our requirements."
"Instead of having to wait for alerts, the IT security team can actively hunt for threats by proactively scanning endpoints to spot anomalies and security breaches."
"What we like most about Kaspersky Endpoint Detection and Response Optimum is its prompt response. We also like that it does scans on a daily basis, over every laptop or machine we set it for, and it also generates the report daily."

Cons

"The connection with the controller needs improvement. Some connections are currently unstable."
"Potential areas for improvement could be more accessible and immediate support for critical situations, especially considering the regulatory challenges in healthcare."
"The security features as per customers' requirements should be improved."
"I like the Application Control feature, but it's a bit tricky. Managing it can be a bit cumbersome sometimes."
"They've got all this training that's available, but it involves stuff that doesn't really encompass the solution as a whole."
"At this point in time, the download footprint is a bit big."
"My main concern is that it's a bit heavy for some devices. Like Kaspersky or McAfee, it uses more RAM or memory. Similar to that, it causes issues for users and their own resources, similar to that. If you deploy on old legacy devices with only 1GB of RAM, then it could be a problem."
"It could be simplified a little bit for firewall rules and blocking specific IP addresses. It would be nice to have an option to upload a CSV or XLSX file of IP addresses to be blacklisted or to be able to specify a range as attempted logins from botnets and people attempting to access network accounts is an increasing issue across the board."
"In terms of the Pakistani market and talking from a salesperson's perspective, I'd suggest that Kaspersky introduce a bundle of Kaspersky EDR-Optimum or Kaspersky EDR-Expert along with its Business Select/Advance suite."
"For improvement, they should make the scanning process faster. The scanning and updating take more time."
"We have had some issues updating Kaspersky Endpoint Detection and Response Optimum."
"Occasionally, I encounter connection problems, and the signal is not very good."
"EDR Optimum's scalability could be improved."
"They should provide more notifications for incidents and more clarification or information about malicious activity."
"An area for improvement in Kaspersky Endpoint Detection and Response Optimum would be to provide the cloud console platform to all users, regardless of the number of licenses a company has purchased. For example, a company with 50 employees should have access to the cloud console platform even if they have only purchased a certain number of licenses for the solution."
"I want the tool’s pricing to improve."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"We purchase the solution for three or five-year intervals. We paid approximately $150 for 10 to 15 users."
"The pricing is reasonable when I compare it to other security solutions, particularly Kaspersky, it stands out. It offers an excellent solution at a more favorable price point."
"The solution is reasonable and is nominally priced in accordance with the features that offer to the market."
"You don't have to pay extra after buying the product."
"The price is fair."
"The licensing costs can vary."
"In India, licensing is based on annual contracts. It's not extremely expensive, but not the cheapest either. I'd rate it somewhere around seven or eight out of ten."
"The general basic price is roughly $1.20 for a license with Bitdefender."
"The tool’s pricing is yearly. The solution’s pricing is expensive."
"Kaspersky gives a consolidated price with a good solution. If we choose something else, we need to add other options on our own."
"The price is good, not too high."
"Kaspersky Endpoint Detection and Response Optimum is more affordable than the endpoint security product of Fortinet. Whether it's worth the money depends on your security strategy."
"The solution could be made a bit cheaper."
"The pricing is totally reasonable."
"Kaspersky Endpoint Detection and Response Optimum is affordability, even for companies with limited budgets, such as those in the Pakistani market. It is a subscription-based license."
"The price of the solution is reasonable. It cost approximately €10,000 annually."
