Potential areas for improvement could be more accessible and immediate support for critical situations, especially considering the regulatory challenges in healthcare. While I haven't extensively explored training materials, having more comprehensive resources could enhance user proficiency. Overall, Bitdefender has been reliable for my needs, but improvements in support responsiveness and user education could make it even stronger in handling evolving cyber threats.

The solution is sluggish on low-RAM devices and has room for improvement.

The live monitoring service from Bitdefender's center is expensive and has room for improvement.

The connection with the controller needs improvement. Some connections are currently unstable.

Overall, Bitdefender GravityZone Enterprise Security is quite good. It always has new features which customers can use for free, so I can't say that something is missing in the solution, though one area for improvement is that the cloud version of Bitdefender GravityZone Enterprise Security still can't connect to a central SIEM. The on-premises version has that capability, but the cloud version doesn't.

We are currently satisfied with what they are offering. I would recommend the cloud version and DLP.

The patch management section is good but could be improved. There are issues with macOS or Linux, and the patch management should take care of apart from Windows, Apple and other operating systems. It would be good if Bitdefender GravityZone Enterprise Security had a DLP solution integrated with antivirus for endpoint security. Endpoint security could make this solution an excellent competitor with Symantec.

I like the Application Control feature, but it's a bit tricky. Managing it can be a bit cumbersome sometimes. I would like to see that improved in the next release. I think improving it would be simple, especially in implementing the applications. BitDefender should be able to pull all applications installed in our environment and allow us select the applications that should be allowed and those that should not unlike how it is currently we have add the applications manually especially updated ones.

The risk management tool does not have reporting, which I feel to be a huge mistake. While I can go into it and run the scan for the all the information, I must enter each thing individually to see what I need. I can't print or email a report to somebody in a different environment or to any of my clients for the purpose of advising how they must proceed. All I can do is go into and look at it. It would be nice to able to take the report and determine what must be focused on most critically, as opposed to merely being given a tremendous amount of information. This should be addressed. The solution should also do a better job of informing a person of what happened. The son of one of my clients, who has the solution installed in his house, was blocked from playing a certain game. While the solution only informed the person that it was blocked, it did not state what it had blocked. With another client who was in the middle of playing a game in his office, the solution blocked this but provided no telemetry whatsoever. I had to search in an attempt to see what was being blocked. Turning the solution off, however, enabled the game to work perfectly. It was blocking it for some reason, but I had no clue why it was doing so. The solution should be providing reports of everything, not just specific incidents. The solution has many features, but does not inform one of what was actually done, leaving a person in the dark when it comes to things that are not apparent. For specific threats, one need simply login to know what is transpiring. When there was a need to involve support, I would be instructed to download a certain software for gathering information. But, this is not how things should be. Support should be providing the information it possesses of what transpired.

There's nothing about it that really stands out. The price has increased marginally recently and I would prefer if they didn't raise rates.

Its pricing could be a little cheaper. My renewal fee has gone from $517.99 in 2018 for 3 years to $739.99 when it renews this year in July. I love the product, but a price increase of over 40% is a bit exorbitant. It could also be simplified a little bit for firewall rules and blocking specific IP addresses. It would be nice to have an option to upload a CSV or XLSX file of IP addresses to be blacklisted or to be able to specify a range as attempted logins from botnets and people attempting to access network accounts is an increasing issue across the board.

The room for improvement revolves around understanding how to use it. There's just a lot of best practices packed into it — MSP best practice. They've got all this training that's available, but it involves stuff that doesn't really encompass the solution as a whole. It should be more straightforward and say, "This is what you need to do. You need to start by doing this, and start by doing that, then go here and do it." Those instructions are available, but you have to know what you're looking for to even find them. It's not as simple as, "This is how you begin; these are the best ways to do it." I think they do need to do a better job at showing you how to use it — you need to be taught how to investigate. If something gets blocked, you need to be able to go in and see what's being blocked. How do you go about doing that? How do you know what's being blocked, so that you can go in and whitelist it? They don't do a very good job of that.
