Has significantly improved document-driven workflows and reduced processing time across finance and HR functions
Automation Anywhere has evolved significantly and upgraded itself to provide agentic AI and AI-based automation solutions for document automation. The product has matured considerably over time. We can create workflows that can call an API. We can include prompts in particular workflows for ChatGPT-related functions, connecting to an LLM and RAG to perform tasks. For document automation, modern features are available to train documents, ensuring high accuracy and repeatability over time. The system is very easy to use. I recently completed a course in document automation, typically designed for people involved in coding and technical aspects. Though I understand coding comprehensively, I don't do actual coding. The course was very accessible. Currently, extensive coding isn't necessary due to the hybrid model incorporating GenAI aspects, low-code, no-code capabilities, APIs, and numerous pre-built objects in Automation Anywhere. The features include GenAI-driven prompting methods and workflow creation capabilities. In these workflows, we can create decision boxes and call APIs without coding. We simply pull objects, drop them, connect them, and add minimal coding when needed. The most crucial aspect isn't coding but rather sizing the automation and fleshing out the details. Automation Co-pilot takes notes and performs automated analysis. It can extract details from videos, summarize conversations, and provide detailed information. During calls, it identifies instructions and performs tasks such as preparing reports and reconciliation. Automation Anywhere can also connect with Microsoft Co-pilot. Through Co-pilot, real-time operations can be executed, allowing direct interaction between vendors and automation through this component.

Works well, but its interface should be a bit more user-friendly
We use it for our process flows and levels of approvals, but I am not managing it directly Its performance, stability, and security are fine. Its interface should be a bit more user-friendly. I have been using this solution for close to a year. It is stable. It is easy to scale. We currently…

Automation expertise grows and enhances global collaboration
The most valuable aspect is the ability to integrate with over 20,000 applications, which is a superior feature compared to Make.com that has limited applications access. I use multi-step automation workflows in my tasks, which increases productivity and efficiency. The features such as if-else conditions allow for different branches in automation, making the automation more productive. I utilized conditional logic, text parsing, and formatting. My experience with these advanced features has been excellent. For instance, I once pushed data from Zapier to GoHighLevel while checking the date, and based on that date, I created automation in GoHighLevel that involved various branches, effectively creating a loop. Remote access to Zapier's automated workflows and cloud integration is beneficial. I use cloud services such as Google Drive and Dropbox within Zapier. The remote capabilities are advantageous, allowing us to provide services from Pakistan for businesses based in the USA, reducing company expenses when hiring employees from the USA. The ability to work remotely globally through Zapier is a significant opportunity.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"I would recommend using this product; it is very useful, we can automate anything through it, there is much flexibility, and it provides a robust mechanism, which is good."
"Most clients prefer Automation Anywhere because it is easy to implement. You don't need to know rocket science to learn this solution. If you know logic, that is sufficient. Automation Anywhere is more user-friendly."
"Automation Anywhere has lots of features, some of them are accuracy increases, time consumption reduced, scalability. Automation Anywhere does not require a strong knowledge of programming languages. The dashboard is user-friendly."
"The simplicity of the tool is a plus point, as it does not require one to be from coding background to work on it."
"Our first automation removed manual work from employees, so they are now able to more quickly product quality work."
"The Automation Anywhere University is a good tool. It goes topic-by-topic with real-time examples."
"We have had a lot of success using Automation Anywhere products and we've actually built a few solutions that were done on the EY cloud, which are offered to clients as a managed service."
"The most valuable features of Automation Anywhere are the document processing and queue management."
"What I like most is the seamlessness of the workflow capabilities."
"Its performance, stability, and security are fine."
"Technical support is fantastic; top notch."
"Technical support is very good, I got the proper answer immediately via webchat."
"Zapier’s most valuable feature is its ability to interconnect applications or devices."
"The ability to connect web applications to trigger actions in another app after having enriched, formatted, delayed, grouped, and filtered is really valuable for many businesses."
"The ability to link Google Sheets to Salesforce is the most valuable feature."
"The solution is time efficient and has saved considerable development effort."
"Webhooks are the most valuable feature of Zapier."
"It revolutionized our back-office."

Cons

"One improvement would be to implement a log mechanism within the workflow, similar to other automation tools. Currently, the log mechanism uses a text file. If we want to monitor a process, we need to check manually."
"They are already working on this: The boom of generative AI, the next-gen technologies, including advanced AI and ML technologies, are in the roadmap. I would like to see more and more AI integration and a bit more analytics. That would be great."
"I want the tool to be more stabilized. After three or four hours, the navigation keeps changing. We will be running error handling for 8,000 process and the system will fail. We need it to be more stable."
"There are a lot of things that need to be improved, especially related to the Control Room, but you can develop and scale with this tool very, very fast."
"We had a few setbacks because of bots getting queued and unable to force delete a task bot which kept persisting in the control room. These features should be included in future releases which will be highly beneficial."
"While the ease of use for non-tech users is good, it could be improved."
"Automation Anywhere is not very scalable because the update and upgrade process requires immense effort from the IT organization to do a tool check."
"We have still not explored Automation Anywhere to its full potential, so I will restrict myself from commenting on improvement areas at this time."
"This solution only supports basic text, but we would like to be able to insert components such as rich text, graphs, charts, pictures, and other objects."
"Its interface should be a bit more user-friendly."
"The cost of the solution is high. It's a bit costly as compared to Tableau or other solutions that are available in the market."
"The technical support is low."
"If the scenario or automation is complex, it becomes difficult to create and deploy because of various routes. For example, with 20 routes, it becomes really difficult to create them due to certain limits, and the UI is not conducive for viewing all the routes."
"The user interface for Zapier could be improved."
"The only frustrating thing was the support. Most applications have a chat or call center function for support."
"It can be challenging to get timely responses as they typically answer questions after a long period, sometimes taking up to a month to respond."
"The error reporting UI and organizing Zaps could be improved."
"Zapier can be improved by having more complex running scenarios, such as running code and more custom modules, and maybe multi-router cases which will make the workflows even tighter and more complex."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Regarding the price, licensing, and maintenance, Automation Anywhere provides its customers with its best and affordable value."
"We are not receiving the right information about their features, e.g. Automation Anywhere University, or anything that they are selling. They need to improve their documentation."
"Our licensing costs are setup on an annual basis."
"The solution itself is free unless we want to add the support option but we have to pay for the bots we use."
"It's very good in terms of cost and pricing."
"It is not cheap, with costs ranging between 700 to 800 dollars per month. While Power Automate is cheaper at 15 dollars per month, Automation Anywhere offers superior features, user-friendliness, and smoothness."
"With the rebate processing automation that we did, it has provided us a savings of around an hour or two a person on a daily basis, which is quite a lot of savings."
"We are currently negotiating a contract. Depending upon that, we will definitely look at increasing usage."
"We have a yearly license."
"It's very affordable."
"The least expensive plan is $24 a month, and you can go all the way to $800 a month if you're a huge company using many tasks."
"Zapier is a paid service. Its license renews monthly, and Zapier will downgrade your subscription to the free version when your credit card doesn't have funds. That significantly impacts your service because everything halts completely. Zapier doesn't have any hidden costs."
"Per task, there is a monthly plan involving 15 euros...Also, in different forms, they just give you the ability to use different features. They charge 18.58 euros for the first standard plan, which includes 750 tasks. So, it is about 25 cents per task."
"Think your Zaps through to make sure you don't use more Zaps than you need."
"There is a free plan that is, of course, limited. However, it allows you to understand and check true scenarios for a while."
"It's very straightforward licensing. There's only one cost you have to pay, and if you want a relevant pricing plan, I think you have two or three different models or packages which include the number of notifications or Zaps, as they call it, that you can program."
"The product is reasonably priced."
