Custom reporting tool with field grabber, easy modules for recruitment and provides numerous options for integration
The complexity is the key challenge with a tool like ADP because it has all the bells and whistles and all the key features you can possibly think of. If it isn't there, there's always a third-party vendor you can integrate that way. But the only issue is that because it's complex, there needs to be some sort of system, at least on the back end, for the admins to understand what leads to what. We expect AI to improve multiple things with HR processes. The most obvious and common one would be the self-service function for employees, like a chatbot to help with FAQs. We are also building an AI tool that can possibly help managers make better talent management decisions. This tool will pull from the performance management tool, the talent profile, and the reports that we generally have to score employees across all different dimensions.

Centralizes our enterprise-wide functions but could benefit from cloud migration
We have dealt with customer service, and it was awful. For a system this size, it felt like we were merely buying software from them. They weren't really partnered with us on it. Reporting bugs and getting feedback, as well as having engineers work on issues, was very transactional. There was no real ownership on Oracle's part. During several support cases, it became difficult to determine ownership at Oracle and get status updates. The on-premises Oracle support is not great in my experience, and I think this is true in the industry. We've read about their software as a solution, and theoretically, their SaaS portal support is a lot better.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The most interesting feature for me on ADP is the custom reporting tool. It's got something called a field grabber, which makes it so much easier to generate your own custom reports simply by pulling tabs from any feature."
"The way that ADP helped us improve our organization is by making the payroll process clean and efficient because if you make a mistake there, you're in big trouble."
"It is a scalable solution."
"The most valuable feature to me is performance management because we just started using that."
"The most valuable features are the reporting and benefits piece."
"The platform is on a private cloud that is fully secure with no way for hacker penetration."
"In my day-to-day work, attendance tracking would be most important. That's because I have a really diverse group of employees, and I have a subset of younger folks who are struggling with their attendance. So, that's the thing that I'm most involved with currently."
"The interface is easy to use."
"If I want to manage many parts of my organization, such as finances, proceedings, or supply chain I would typically need to buy many different solutions. However, with Oracle E-Business Suite, it is all that is needed. This ERP system has many modules."
"Oracle EBS adapts to our business rules, so we don't have to change them, whereas SAP is rigid. We need to change our business rules to implement SAP. Oracle's reporting is also excellent and it's easier for our technical team to customize the solution compared to SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, and other products."
"The integration of the various modules is definitely the most valuable feature for us. Our clients being business-minded, which involves customers and suppliers."
"It can easily be developed into an application."
"Before, we used a lot of manpower in our operations, in the backend, but this is a service. We have eliminated some unnecessary processes."
"I like Oracle ERP for streamlining the entire process from PRTL and invoice payments. It also has the decision and internet sale order, and my customers can correct the internet decision. It automatically converts to the internet order, and they don't need to create the entry object. They don't need to make a secondary ledger in the parent company and subsidiary. That's very helpful for internet decisions. If they get an order at the parent company, it automatically creates the sales system in the subsidiary."
"The implementation of Oracle E-Business Suite is easy."

Cons

"The report functionality is not as good as competitive products."
"I would like to see the payroll side improved and there are a few kinks that need to be worked out."
"The complexity is the key challenge with a tool like ADP ."
"When I'm not working with the implementation team and I'm just talking to customer service or something, they're just not a lot of help. They don't understand how it works. They'll tell you to do something that I know would affect something else. So, it's less about the software and more about just training their folks to a higher level."
"The ease of developing and creating reports could definitely use some improvement."
"Its benefits portal could be user-friendly."
"User interface is outdated and not user friendly."
"It is on the expensive side."
"Improvements could be made in mobility for mobile applications or tablets."
"I would like an end-to-end in terms of processes. There are different modules, however, there's not that end-to-end that we are looking for in terms of process automation."
"A lot more automation can be brought into E-Business Suite."
"The system has bugs, is not user friendly, and requires too much customization."
"It is still a little outdated as far as what we consider a twenty-first century software. You're still using Oracle forms, that sort of thing."
"Performance issues and handling of financial data could be improved."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"I know some of what we're currently paying. Most customers would say it's too high, but I don't have a comparison to know that."
"It is expensive."
"The solution is expensive and everyone complains about the price."
"The pricing is expensive and I would say it is below average for the value it provides based on the high cost."
"I give the pricing a seven out of ten."
"The solution is expensive."
"I would rate the pricing a nine out of ten, with ten being very expensive."
"The pricing of Oracle E-Business Suite is too high."
"This product is more expensive if you compare it to SAP."
"The price would be better if it were lower."
"Oracle's pricing is lower than that of its competitors."
"Both the current projects and future projects should be defined well. Licensing should be done according to current and near future plans."
"At the time of purchasing the license the price was reasonable."
"The licensing cost of Oracle E-Business Suite is quite competitive. It's quite flexible, so it can be adapted to the requirements of my company. For confidentiality purposes, I'm unable to disclose how much Oracle E-Business Suite costs, but I'm rating its cost as eight out of ten."
