The thing about Ruckus is that we have greater range, so we need fewer access points. 

My Ubiquiti setup had, like, ten access points in a warehouse. With Ruckus, I only ordered six because I know I need fewer. So that's a savings if you want to look at it like that.

The Ruckus guest Wi-Fi setup seems to be the most helpful when it comes to managing security. The Ubiquiti access points have a guest hotspot feature, but unless you know what you're doing, you won't be able to separate that guest hotspot from your regular Wi-Fi. On the Ruckus side, if you want to separate your guest from your regular Wi-Fi, that's not a problem. It's almost impossible to combine the two.

In Ubiquiti, you think you're doing it, but when you actually test it, you can get to all your file servers on your guest network. There are ways to separate them, but you really have to know what you're doing. So I actually come across Ubiquiti networks all the time, and I'm able to get right to the other side of the network they're trying to protect because they're not really safe. They can be, but the documentation is garbage, and it's hard. So, out of the box, Ruckus is definitely safer.

Ruckus Unleashed is a network solution capable of supporting up to 128 access points without the need for a controller. It offers basic networking features and can operate in a mesh topology, though it doesn't have to be mesh. On the other hand, Ruckus Virtual SmartZone is a more comprehensive and feature-rich product. It provides advanced functionalities such as 802.1X access authentication, AAA authentication, guest login integration with social media platforms, AP and switch management, among others. 

We deploy our solutions in various environments, including education, hospitality, and shopping centers. Our services cover a wide range of sectors, excluding domestic deployments. We rarely engage in domestic deployments due to the relatively higher overhead and support demands compared to enterprise environments, making it less viable for us.

ChannelFly from Ruckus Wireless has had the most significant impact on the network performance of our customers.

The BeamFlex technology in Ruckus Wireless enhances Wi-Fi coverage. Both BeamFlex and ChannelFly operate in conjunction, with BeamFlex being the underlying technology and ChannelFly being its application. BeamFlex facilitates the reuse of beams, reducing dead spots by up to 25%.

The SmartZone OS has streamlined network management for our customers, providing a unified interface for overseeing switches and IT management. Within this interface, users can easily differentiate between zones, AP groups, and switch groups.

The implementation of Ruckus Wireless significantly enhances network scalability. Unlike some other solutions, Ruckus allows seamless scaling to accommodate growing needs without encountering scalability issues. Customers can easily expand their network by connecting additional access points and adding licenses as required.

We use the product for internet connection. We use it for Wi-Fi coverage in our restaurants, bars, and lobbies. It handles high-density environments well. Some of our restaurants have 300 to 500 people. It’s the same in the bars and lobbies.

The lobby is the main area for the guests. We use Ruckus to cover the whole lobby. It also helps in the beach bar. It is a big place with a capacity of 400 people. It is a high-density environment.

Ruckus Wireless is a robust solution, and I don't need to restart it often. It can work with high-density traffic, and its management system is also good. The solution claims to have a good direction technology for not interfering with other access points that don't belong to us. I'm not sure if that's true, but we don't have problems with that.

I do a reset of the access points from time to time because sometimes we have no access.

We use it for public Wi-Fi services.

Ruckus Wireless improved our organization's operations compared to other competitors like Cisco, HP Arbor, and Extreme Networks. We ran pilot tests and assessed functionality and stability over four months. Ultimately, we chose Ruckus.

I use Ruckus Wireless to provide it as a service in residential areas.

Mesh networking and antenna patterns are the most valuable features of the solution.

We have an enterprise wireless solution with multiple vendor access points deployed across buildings and have implemented 802.1x authentication with dynamic VLANs. We have more than 100 Ruckus devices with Wpa2 enterprise authentication mode, and requests are getting authenticated from our NPS server.

Our classrooms are equipped with 4*4 Mimo Wi-Fi 6 technology-based Ruckus access points that will handle more than 80 high bandwidth clients at the same time. Moreover, our meeting rooms are also equipped with 2*2 Mimo models that easily handle high bandwidth applications.

We have been migrating from Fortinet access points to Ruckus Wireless over a period of 5 years. We could experience good coverage and have increased the overall Wi-Fi quality in our organization to a large extent. We were able to provide stable bandwidth for students even at peak hours, so overall, students could learn even from hostels with uninterrupted Wi-Fi. 

The reliability and stability issues of Fortinet have been considerably reduced after implementing Ruckus to hostels to a large extent. Overall, internet bandwidth utilization has also been utilized effectively after the Ruckus implementation.
