Pricing competitiveness and remote management have enhanced network flexibility
One of the most valued aspects of Aruba access points is their price competitiveness; they are available at half the price of Juniper access points. Additionally, they do not require any kind of license for implementation. Despite this, many customers have their own firewall, and they can control everything from their firewall, ensuring flexibility. Furthermore, the ease of management with Aruba access points enables customers to connect them directly to their network via a PoE switch and manage them remotely from mobile devices.

Reliable and high-performance wireless networking with exceptional stability, scalability, and robust feature set
One of the most valuable features I appreciate is auto channelization, facilitated by a proprietary product called ChannelFly. This feature enables APs in a specific zone to automatically adjust their channels, optimizing performance. Additionally, Ruckus Wireless stands out for its ability to reuse certain beams, resulting in smaller data spots. In my experience with various products, Ruckus Wireless consistently delivers unparalleled throughput, coverage, and reliability in wireless networking across different environments. As a noteworthy point, the newly launched WiFi 7 standard is measured against Ruckus's WiFi 7 AP, establishing it as the global benchmark. When it comes to WiFi, Ruckus sets the standard, outperforming competitors with its superior performance and capabilities.

"It offers remarkable client-handling capacity."
"After we installed the Aruba switches, the work became faster because the network speed improved."
"The controller software, which can control multiple access points remotely, is very convenient."
"Technical support for Aruba access points in India is very good."
"I haven't heard any complaints about the WiFi equipment at all causing problems."
"I like the controller more informative and easier to set up."
"Tremendous throughput and easy installation, configuration, and monitoring."
"The solution is used for public Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi solution provides internet connectivity in the public platform."
"The solution has great network intelligence from applications, clients, access points, and controllers."
"Stability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten."
"Zero-handoff is one of the top features. The client balancing between the access points is good. Its security is also fine."
"The initial setup is very simple."

Cons

"If the port is damaged, then Aruba Access Points don't work properly."
"There should be enhancements to support open Wi-Fi technology for seamless authentication across different access points."
"The stability must be improved."
"The price could be a bit lower."
"Going with a cloud solution will make dependency no longer a challenge from a connectivity point of view."
"The platform’s speed for data flow could be better."
"The product's prices are an area of concern. The product should be available at a lower price point."
"The delivery timeline is a major problem. There are also configuration and integration issues since not many engineers are available in the market who has expertise with the product. Some of our customers also experience network slowness."
"The tool is expensive."
"One complaint that we have is the lack of cloud-based management."
"It is very difficult to convince the customer to choose Ruckus because of the price."
"The cloud solution is not mature enough."
"They need to be able to allow us to keep some of the older products on our cloud controllers or any of their controllers longer and just start supporting the new controllers. They force you into an upgrade unnecessarily."
"From the user point of view, sometimes we face a little bit of a challenge in terms of the channels selection for Ruckus. When we have installed all of the APs outdoors, those channels are actually empty in different numbers, so sometimes we found this challenging for getting paired between these point to point communications. If there is any way we can get some proprietary channels or some IT this interruption will not be there. That would be really fantastic for more reliable connectivity."
"They need more products in the lower-end range for smaller clients."
"The current reporting is limited to 30 days, and it would be helpful if there was an option to extend it to one year."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The price compared to other brands is slightly higher."
"The product is cheaper than Cisco and Huawei."
"The product's pricing could be better than one of its competitors."
"The pricing is competitive. It is neither cheap nor expensive. It is moderate. It offers better price than Cisco and other competitors."
"The tool's pricing is not expensive. It is perfect as per the features."
"Aruba Central is a bit overpriced for some customers."
"I implemented seven access points in 2015, and I only spent $6,000 for the whole project."
"My company needs to pay around 50,000 JPY to 1,00,000 JPY towards the licensing costs of the product on a monthly basis. Additional payments are to be made towards the maintenance and support costs of the product."
"The setup that I have at the moment does not require licensing, although I am not sure whether a bigger project will mean that I have to spend more."
"We don't pay any licensing fees, we purchase them."
"The reason we picked Ruckus, in addition to our long-standing relationship with Ruckus, is pretty much that the RFS characteristics of it seem to be the best."
"The price could be better. Normally, if you find customers paying for cost-effective wireless solutions, Ruckus devices are a little expensive compared to other vendors."
"Ruckus Wireless is an expensive solution."
"I rate the product price as six to seven on a scale of one to ten, where one is a low price, and ten is a high price."
"Ruckus Wireless is not an expensive solution."
"We have a yearly license for our multiple mode 200 or 300 Ruckus Wireless systems. It's a good price."
