Reliable and high-performance wireless networking with exceptional stability, scalability, and robust feature set
One of the most valuable features I appreciate is auto channelization, facilitated by a proprietary product called ChannelFly. This feature enables APs in a specific zone to automatically adjust their channels, optimizing performance. Additionally, Ruckus Wireless stands out for its ability to reuse certain beams, resulting in smaller data spots. In my experience with various products, Ruckus Wireless consistently delivers unparalleled throughput, coverage, and reliability in wireless networking across different environments. As a noteworthy point, the newly launched WiFi 7 standard is measured against Ruckus's WiFi 7 AP, establishing it as the global benchmark. When it comes to WiFi, Ruckus sets the standard, outperforming competitors with its superior performance and capabilities.

Managing installations through one interface enhances efficiency but AI features improvement
Ubiquiti Wireless LAN is reliable and offers a good quality product. It provides one interface to manage all installations, allowing me to monitor all customers through the same web interface. The web interface in the controller allows for quick configuration of devices with just one click, which is a significant advantage.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"For me, the most valuable features are good integration with the customer's existing network and the ease of deployment and configuration. Ruckus products are also easy to learn to manage and deploy for not only our own staff, but also for the IT workers in the customer's organization."
"I like the controller more informative and easier to set up."
"It's stable."
"It's good for low-level usage."
"Ruckus features a centralized architecture solution with ultrasound technology, which helps us with communication and roaming."
"Tremendous throughput and easy installation, configuration, and monitoring."
"They have all the features in terms of wireless technology. They have most of the features already there in the controller and their wireless system."
"The Ruckus Location-Based Services (LBS) Solution is the highlight that enables businesses to enhance the way of interaction with their customers on the basis of precise location."
"It is a very stable solution. Stability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten."
"The web interface in the controller allows for quick configuration of devices with just one click, which is a significant advantage."
"I have found Ubiquiti WLAN scalable. We have approximately 200 users using the solution in my organization and do not plan to increase usage."
"Firstly, I initially purchased the device to build a VPN, and one very valuable feature for me was the ability to create a layer two VPN, which was available on the legacy ER router. It allowed me to expand a subnet to a remote site, which was essential for my setup. Additionally, I appreciated that the CLI of the router was similar to other Juniper products that I was familiar with."
"The solution is scalable."
"The product’s most valuable feature is the workflow-driven setup for the infrastructure component."
"For me, the ease of configuration is a valuable feature."
"Ubiquiti WLAN's best feature is the free controller system software."

Cons

"The biggest adjustment improvement will come from a price adjustment because the price is quite high; it feels like premium pricing. I suggest shaving off 10 percent to 20 percent. That would help grow users and increase the number of clients."
"I wish that Ruckus Wireless were more affordable for customers."
"The solution should have more analytics capabilities."
"The pricing of the product can be a bit expensive. They should work on making pricing more competitive."
"The product licensing could be improved."
"The interface should be mobile friendly."
"The price is one area for improvement."
"I do a reset of the access points from time to time because sometimes we have no access."
"The strength of the signal from the access points could be improved."
"Ubiquiti WLAN needs to expand the models with external antennas. It needs to improve stability."
"The solution should include and expand on a central management system."
"There seems to be a drop in service. It's definitely a reliability or stability issue we face."
"It does require some maintenance from my side, including troubleshooting and fixing occasionally."
"The product needs to improve the user interface in the migration from old to new versions."
"It is not a stable solution."
"There is room for improvement in providing the flexibility to change the default management VLAN from VLAN one to another for enhanced security."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It is not cheap, but it also doesn't carry the high price tag of some other products on the market."
"The cost per AP license should be worked on."
"It is decently priced."
"The price is reasonable."
"We found it a little more expensive than the other competitors on the market."
"The price of Ruckus Wireless is more expensive than other options."
"It's definitely a good value. It's more expensive than some of the other offerings out there, but when you compare it to other enterprise-class gear, it's very well priced. And the beauty of it is, because it has better range because of their patented BeamFlex - which is the way they can send and receive and listen to signals - you can actually use fewer access points. That means that it's a cheaper overall project."
"Regarding pricing, Ruckus Wireless is a five out of ten. Though it's cheaper than Aruba Wireless, pricing for Ruckus Wireless, when you look at its functionality, could be more affordable."
"This solution is reasonably priced."
"On a scale from one to ten, where one is cheap and ten is expensive, I rate the solution's pricing a seven out of ten."
"Ubiquiti WLAN is cheap. It can work without licensing."
"It is a stand-alone price."
"I would rate the solution's pricing a nine out of ten. It is high."
"It is a cost-effective solution."
"The pricing is very reasonable."
"There is a license required for this solution."
