Cons
"A lot of customers had a hard time effectively searching within the data in Splunk. There is a learning curve from searches to indexes and using all the macros that we have created. It is a little difficult for somebody who has not used it quite a bit and does not have a lot of practice with it, but the AI features that we have been hearing about through Splunk will make it a lot easier for us to use human language to search this data. That is big. That is pretty powerful, and that will help a lot with our customers.""There is a lot of room for improvement with the automation.""In the next release, I would like to see more integration with other solutions.""The solution's stability is an area that has room for improvement. It needs to provide constant stability to its users.""The product collects a lot of data but it does not assure that it collects all of it.""It does not have a user-friendly interface and it is difficult to use.""We still use Splunk Enterprise licensing. A lot of the newer features go into Splunk Cloud before Enterprise. We're not looking to switch our licensing over, so we're falling behind on the newer features.""The clustering part of indexes can be more refined."

More Splunk Infrastructure Monitoring Cons →

"The interface needs some work.""I might like to see a better interface in the future.""The licensing model could be improved. Right now, the levels are too far apart. This causes the solution to be more expensive than it needs to be.""I would like to see better integration with switches so that you can see what is connected to each port, what the traffic is, and have a network map automatically generated.""The initial setup of WhatsUp Gold is a medium range of difficulty levels. However, if it is your first time it could be difficult.""Adding on services increases the cost and on the version we have there is no option for ATM monitoring.""The product is old and not updated.""Users want SMS available via Whatsapp Gold. They don't want to go through third party SMS servers. The solution should work to make this possible."
