We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Ramco HCM stands out due to its reliability and up-to-date compliance with legal, statutory, and regulatory requirements.""Ramco is user-friendly. The UA is excellent and so easy to use that a customer can easily understand the process with zero knowledge of the system. We can easily walk a new user through the user guide. For each ESS MSS, I can log in to the ESS access. and documentation is available.""Once we implemented this solution, it was customizable for our needs and this has been the most valuable aspect of this solution.""Ramco HCM is a stable system that doesn't have downtime or fluctuation issues. It can also take large volumes and scale up very fast.""In general, the solution is very flexible and can be configured in multiple ways.""Payroll processing is very easy. SQL rules can be attached to any pay elements.""It is a good product, and it is suitable for different client requirements. It has customization options and flexibility. You can customize a report or configure the workflow based on your requirements. Everything is there in the product, and you can customize it as per your requirement. Our clients found the automation of the payroll, leave attendance, and onboarding modules the most valuable. The Time and Attendance module is fully integrated with this solution and supports multiple data entry modes, such as barcode, biometric device, fingerprints, and face reading. Its core HR module includes features like movement, expense management, exit, and separation. The compensation and benefits module includes features like welfare, retirement, and superannuation. It also has analytical tools. You can create a real-time report based on your requirements. You can also publish that report in different formats, such as Excel, PDF, HTML, etc. It has a chatbot feature, which is using machine learning and natural language. You can ask questions about your leave balance, attendance, or things like that, and you will get an immediate reply from the chatbot. It also supports approval through email.""The performance management system is really good."

"Workday is a holistic HR solution.""The solution is extremely stable.""First time users, understanding accessibility and consolidated data is fairly easy. The solution improves productivity for users and reduces the need to switch between different tools.""The product is useful for storing employee records.""This product is leaps and bounds above the competition. Part of the reason is that it is built with modern technology. It has no legacy coding in it at all.""I like that it's easy to use and flexible.""We like the fact that this solution is very user-friendly, with a straightforward user interface.""The payroll and benefits engine is the most valuable Workday solution in my opinion. It is also easy to access."

Cons
"The mobile app and web page user experience could be more user friendly.""They can improve the configuration time because it takes more time than other products to configure the system. It could be because they are managing this single product for all countries, but it would be good if they improve the implementation time because we need to implement the solutions within a timeline. They should provide some kind of auto-configuration so that the system can be configured and implemented within a certain timeline. Implementors should have a provision to configure the system in a short time. There should also be an option to move the setup or configuration from staging to production to save time. These types of automation should be there.""One area for improvement in Ramco HCM is its UI, which could be more intuitive. Another area for improvement in the system is that it can be challenging to make some modular-based changes to it.""The product itself sometimes feels inconsistent because it comes with bugs.""The talent management and performance appraisal modules could use some improvement.""The entire UI/UX of the solution can be improved drastically.""Ramco could be a bit faster and offer more use cases. A prime aim is to get analytics and this is lacking in Ramco. This lack of reporting is one of the reasons we are moving away from using Ramco.""The mobile app for this solution could be improved as it lacks many features."

More Ramco HCM Cons →

"Analytical tools have needed improvement. Workday has just released Prism Analytics, to replace the current analytical tools, so it’s in the early stages.""They don't have worker payroll in the product. We have to solve our payroll. I hope one day they will be able to have their own localized standard payrolls for all countries.""It has missing functionalities. Specific countries, like Germany, didn't have the option to do payroll. Now we need to look for another product for HR.""I'm not sure they have added this feature yet, but there should be a cellphone version, so we do not need to do it on a laptop. I'd like to log in on a cellphone and have the same features. I'm not sure if that is already available or if it's on the roadmap, but that would be a great feature.""The user interface could be modernized somehow.""My only suggestion might be to include a brief description of any new fields we introduce, making it easier for people to use them. Perhaps this is something they can consider implementing.""The implementation could have gone a little smoother.""The solution needs to be updated with generative UI."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "Their customized solution is pretty expensive but much cheaper than its competitors."
  • "I am not aware of the price because I was working in the implementation team, but pricing is generally based on the requirement, modules, headcount, and country."
  • "This solution is priced in the middle compared to other solutions on the market."
  • More Ramco HCM Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "With a bigger budget, I would recommend SAP."
  • "Workday is an expensive solution."
  • "You have the license fee per module, and then you have a kind of annual training fee, which is a kind of add-on. I wouldn't say it is exhaustive; it is minor. Licensing is pretty transparent for most of the part."
  • "The pricing is good from an HR perspective, although management gets upset after spending $500,000 a year, every year."
  • "Its price is pretty high. It is more expensive than what is offered by other competitors in the market."
  • "It has an annual subscription rate, but I'm not sure how it will work."
  • "The pricing for this solution is fairly high. It is not affordable for small and mid-sized companies."
  • "By and large, Workday is expensive. It is based on the headcount. I'd probably rate it a three or four out of five in terms of pricing. It'd be like buying a Mercedes or a high-end car. It's expensive, but there's a specific value that you're getting with additional features and things of that nature. Using that metaphor, Workday probably tends to be more of a luxury. There are others like ADP that can do your payroll, your time off, and other things, but they don't do it as well."
