We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
"Robust and very dependable.""We have not had any issues with the stability of this solution.""The solution has good integration with other applications.""The solution is very good at building out a roadmap based on client needs and feedback.""I like that it is mobile responsive and you can work directly with the vendor on specific requirements that you might have.""The most valuable features in Oracle HCM Cloud are the employee and manager self-services.""I like the interfaces, and they are fine. I would like to see more interfaces.""We have 35,000 employees in our organization, so we consider the solution to be scalable."

"Workday is a secure product.""The most valuable feature is the ease of reporting.""The user interface is good and very easy to use.""Workday is highly intuitive from a customer experience perspective. It was effortless for us to understand what to do even though we didn't have any related training. It was easy to use without guidance.""The solution was very good at reconfiguration and customization of their software. It helped us to meet federal regulations.""The solution is stable.""It's easy to set up.""The payroll and benefits engine is the most valuable Workday solution in my opinion. It is also easy to access."

"I think they should have a larger data center in China, which would significantly increase the access speed from my current workspace.""The product needs to keep improving the integration tools and the tools to load the data - that whole mechanism - in order to allow for flexibility in the configuration.""Product integration, particularly with collaboration tools, is lacking in this solution.""The data uploading part and backup could be better. They are a bit complex. Oracle is continuously changing it from one functionality to another. It's a bit unstable right now, and it's basically on the backend data upload part. If I have to upload, for example, data for 100 employees, it's a bit of a challenge for an end-user. It can be difficult if you're not a technical person and an end-user like me. I administer the platform, and if I get a request to upload and I'm not a technical person, then I'm just lost. I have to do some research and then complete the task. But it's evolving, and I hope it's more user-friendly in the future. In the next release, I would like a more stable mobile application. The current version isn't very stable. It takes time to open, and although they have come up with new UI pages, a few open areas need to be addressed. I would also like to see more robust and user-friendly data uploading techniques that would be helpful for end users like us. We don't have a technical background, and we just want to upload the data for our day-to-day operations.""It's not so easy to customize as it's cloud-based.""I believe what could be improved is the EX portion of Oracle HCM Cloud and how it can more easily integrate with other tools.""The solution has much room for improvement in all the modules.""Cloud learning can be improved."

More Oracle HCM Cloud Cons →

"In a future release we could like to have access to asset, supply and treasury management functionalities.""The finance module of this solution is not great and needs improvement.""They don't offer any backend database access. This is one limitation that I found in this product. Workday hasn't opened up about what kind of database they are into, which can make it easy for the technical team to emulate issues. It would be good if they can offer backend access to the technical team. It would be helpful if they can also provide a Troubleshooting Guide that we can use to troubleshoot issues. When we have an issue, there are very limited resources to refer to.""The expenses and reimbursements module could be improved. Creating expense reports is time consuming and inefficient compared to other expense solutions.""The user interface can be enhanced.""The security console should be made less complex.""The cost of Workday is certainly not inexpensive. It's very pricey.""I would be happy if it was faster. Currently, when I try to navigate within the solution itself, it is a bit slow in terms of the page load time. When I click on something, it usually takes time to load. When you click on different icons or areas on the website, it is slow. Even when you navigate between different models, it is a bit slow. I would like to see a bit faster performance and a better user experience."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "On average, it's not a cheap solution."
  • "It has a licensing cost. It has a cloud-based subscription, which is quite cheap."
  • "The solution is expensive."
  • "Licensing fees are on a yearly basis."
  • "There is a license required for the use of this solution and we are on an annual license."
  • "I cannot comment on the cost, as this is handled by a different team."
  • "The contract for one of them will be extended for three years and for another one for two years. One of them is paying monthly, and another one is paying per quarter. I don't know about the third one. So, it differs."
  • "There is a subscription to use this solution, and there can be additional fees."
  • More Oracle HCM Cloud Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "You have the license fee per module, and then you have a kind of annual training fee, which is a kind of add-on. I wouldn't say it is exhaustive; it is minor. Licensing is pretty transparent for most of the part."
  • "The pricing is good from an HR perspective, although management gets upset after spending $500,000 a year, every year."
  • "Its price is pretty high. It is more expensive than what is offered by other competitors in the market."
  • "It has an annual subscription rate, but I'm not sure how it will work."
  • "The pricing for this solution is fairly high. It is not affordable for small and mid-sized companies."
  • "By and large, Workday is expensive. It is based on the headcount. I'd probably rate it a three or four out of five in terms of pricing. It'd be like buying a Mercedes or a high-end car. It's expensive, but there's a specific value that you're getting with additional features and things of that nature. Using that metaphor, Workday probably tends to be more of a luxury. There are others like ADP that can do your payroll, your time off, and other things, but they don't do it as well."
  • "It is on a yearly basis."
