Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The initial setup or implementation process of the solution is fine. The deployment process took place in two days. So, once one has the runbook and everything in place, it is not that difficult.""Robust and very dependable.""The solution has good integration with other applications.""Since it is an integrated solution, it brings speed and efficiency to the business process.""It is very user-friendly. Most of the UI is very intuitive so you don't need to follow a course to follow it up.""The most valuable feature of Oracle HCM Cloud is its integration.""The most valuable feature is the support for mobile devices.""Oracle HCM Cloud's most valuable feature is that it is user-friendly."

"There is a lot to like about it. I really enjoy the business process framework. It's something that's really seamless. It allows you to have people within the flow. They get assigned a task to complete something to approve, etc. That's a really good piece of functionality that Workday offers. Their out-of-the-box reporting framework is also really powerful in terms of what it provides. These would be two things that I would highlight.""We have fewer systems, less manual data entry, and less processing.""The most valuable feature of Workday is the ease of navigation to browse the application. The solution can hold information about the company and people with accounts can be discovered by others in the whole company.""It is fairly easy to set up""The user interface is good and very easy to use.""This product is leaps and bounds above the competition. Part of the reason is that it is built with modern technology. It has no legacy coding in it at all.""The product is useful for storing employee records.""Workday is a holistic HR solution."

Cons
"An employee needs training to apply for leave, something as simple as that. They shouldn't need training materials or user guides to navigate the system. We're moving towards empowering users, especially with end-user-facing systems. People should be self-reliant and not need to rely on manuals. Oracle HCM Cloud is very old-school in this regard.""It's not so easy to customize as it's cloud-based.""The absence management can use some improvement. Due to all the flexible working, the part with work schedules could be a little bit more flexible.""It would be very nice if we were able to roll back transactions from data that was loaded with the data loader.""Although the performance management is good, it could be improved as its functionality is quite basic.""The data uploading part and backup could be better. They are a bit complex. Oracle is continuously changing it from one functionality to another. It's a bit unstable right now, and it's basically on the backend data upload part. If I have to upload, for example, data for 100 employees, it's a bit of a challenge for an end-user. It can be difficult if you're not a technical person and an end-user like me. I administer the platform, and if I get a request to upload and I'm not a technical person, then I'm just lost. I have to do some research and then complete the task. But it's evolving, and I hope it's more user-friendly in the future. In the next release, I would like a more stable mobile application. The current version isn't very stable. It takes time to open, and although they have come up with new UI pages, a few open areas need to be addressed. I would also like to see more robust and user-friendly data uploading techniques that would be helpful for end users like us. We don't have a technical background, and we just want to upload the data for our day-to-day operations.""Product integration, particularly with collaboration tools, is lacking in this solution.""Oracle should have different bundles to provide access to courses. Then, we would be able to increase our knowledge on how to use Oracle applications."

More Oracle HCM Cloud Cons →

"It's possible that the way things are integrated could be improved""I'm not sure they have added this feature yet, but there should be a cellphone version, so we do not need to do it on a laptop. I'd like to log in on a cellphone and have the same features. I'm not sure if that is already available or if it's on the roadmap, but that would be a great feature.""There were a lot of issues. There were consistency or accuracy issues with the data we had, and every time we had to pull reports in Workday, it was difficult.""The user interface could be better. Everything else was fine.""The expenses and reimbursements module could be improved. Creating expense reports is time consuming and inefficient compared to other expense solutions.""I would really like to see a more robust timekeeping solution in Workday. Currently, most organizations are using Kronos for timekeeping and Workday for HR data. They then integrate Workday with Dimensions to manage time-related activities and payroll processing.""This solution could be improved by providing user-level access to customization capabilities. Users currently rely on more technical teams to customize reports, for example.""For time management, it does not have a calendar generator. For example, if you want to have a shift calendar for an entire year, you need to push the entire year's calendar into the system instead of being able to generate it using a time management pattern."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "On an annual basis, we pay about $25,000 for our company. This includes the VAT, support, upgrades and everything else."
  • "Oracle HCM offers many features at a low price."
  • "On average, it's not a cheap solution."
  • "It has a licensing cost. It has a cloud-based subscription, which is quite cheap."
  • "The solution is expensive."
  • "Licensing fees are on a yearly basis."
  • "There is a license required for the use of this solution and we are on an annual license."
  • "I cannot comment on the cost, as this is handled by a different team."
  • More Oracle HCM Cloud Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "With a bigger budget, I would recommend SAP."
  • "Workday is an expensive solution."
  • "You have the license fee per module, and then you have a kind of annual training fee, which is a kind of add-on. I wouldn't say it is exhaustive; it is minor. Licensing is pretty transparent for most of the part."
  • "The pricing is good from an HR perspective, although management gets upset after spending $500,000 a year, every year."
  • "Its price is pretty high. It is more expensive than what is offered by other competitors in the market."
  • "It has an annual subscription rate, but I'm not sure how it will work."
  • "The pricing for this solution is fairly high. It is not affordable for small and mid-sized companies."
  • "By and large, Workday is expensive. It is based on the headcount. I'd probably rate it a three or four out of five in terms of pricing. It'd be like buying a Mercedes or a high-end car. It's expensive, but there's a specific value that you're getting with additional features and things of that nature. Using that metaphor, Workday probably tends to be more of a luxury. There are others like ADP that can do your payroll, your time off, and other things, but they don't do it as well."
