Effective project tracking enhances decision-making but requires improved subtask hierarchy
I would like to have the ability to create more than two levels of subtasks in monday.com. It was a significant challenge as I often wanted to make a task dependent on another group, but it was difficult. It would be more efficient if it were easier to establish dependencies across different groups.

Good reporting, quick configurations, and helpful support
It's a cloud-based setup, so there's no challenge in getting everything up and running. The downtime should be minimal. I'd rate the process nine out of ten in terms of ease of deployment. There is a three-month implementation exercise that we control. We have five people who were part of the implementation and maintenance process. They are admins and web developers.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"With multiple team members working on multiple fast-moving briefs, tasks, and projects - often remotely and in different timezones - Monday.com has become our reliable source of truth to oversee and manage everything that's going on."
"I really enjoy all the additional columns you can add to your Monday pulses to cater to what information you need."
"Support from Monday.com makes you feel super comfortable communicating any inquiries you may have."
"monday.com increased the efficiency of the teams using it, thereby decreasing costs. We needed fewer people to do the same amount of work once the tasks were organized and presented in a simple way."
"I love the time-tracking feature."
"I like being able to customize your views."
"Monday.com is effortless to use. You can customize it to adapt to your needs and work style. The product is beautiful and intuitive, which makes the work enjoyable."
"I love how we can color coordinate between statuses and how statuses jump into their respective groups automatically once chosen."
"The reporting part is very good."

Cons

"We'd really like to have the ability to have different types of boards within a board."
"I would really like to see the reporting functionality updated."
"While there are most of the features that users aspire to see in managing daily plans and tasks, they could focus to bring in extensive and comprehensive features of project management and grant management."
"I've had trouble trying to link or merge together a board with my team in which we can collaborate and comment on each task or file without having our client in on the early stage conversations."
"If you want to drag a task or rearrange them, it's quite tricky, especially on the app."
"I work with many internet tabs open and would prefer having Monday.com as a separate program - not opened via the website."
"The only issue we have now is that Monday sometimes crashes and does not recognize a change we make."
"Service being down happens to often. They need to create a desktop version that stores the info locally so that when their servers are down, I can keep working and accessing my data. Then it could be uploaded when their servers are online."
"Some of the reports could be automated."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"I rate the tool's pricing a six out of ten."
"The solution is quite inexpensive. For example, we pay $8,500 for 75 users. It's somewhere around $100 a user, approximately."
"I am using the tool's free version."
"There are features that they're putting in the Enterprise plan that you have to pay for the Enterprise plan to use those features. The Enterprise plan is probably double or triple the Pro plan price, or it may be two and a half times. From a business standpoint, I don't like the fact that I have to pay two and a half times more to use a particular feature."
"It's definitely affordable. I don't think it is necessarily the cheapest, but it's definitely not the most expensive. The price is well worth the value that we get out of it."
"The licensing cost is not that high for monday.com. However, if you need an implementer, the cost is high because there aren't so many monday.com professionals."
"It's quite expensive when it goes to the enterprise license. Other tools like Jira cost 5 a month, and then their enterprise license is 38 a month, which is quite expensive for what we can do. It's £500 for a tool on a large enterprise. I'd have hoped that enterprise costs go down, not up. The pro license is £14, and then everything else is much more expensive, which is another barrier for us to adopt because other comparable tools are much more affordable when you have such a high multiplier as well."
"The enterprise plan looks expensive because we don't understand the value as monday.com users. The pro level and other packages seem reasonable."
