Project collaboration has improved and automation saves time and reduces errors
The best features monday.com offers are reporting, customization, and company contacts, tracking communication, and project plans. All of the features are really important, especially the project planning, which gives us the ability to manipulate project plans, and it's very helpful. Also, tracking our communication is valuable. I love that I can see both my communications and the communications of my coworkers with the company contacts. When it comes to company contacts, I appreciate the ability to have the company as well as various tags, documents, and contact types. It has really boosted our team collaboration, where different departments are able to collaborate within one project, and we are able to complete many projects on time and deliver them to our clients. Our clients have become very happy over time since we started using monday.com. We've been able to complete many projects on time and meet our deadlines. This has really made our clients happy, and they have trusted us a lot. Through automation of tasks which were previously time-consuming and tedious, we've been able to save a lot of time and cost. We've also improved our team collaboration. We can collaborate securely remotely, thereby improving our productivity. We've been able to save thousands of dollars since we started using automation. We're able to save approximately 80% of our time through automation. We've also been able to reduce human risk, where there is no human contact with the data, thereby greatly reducing human error.

Good reporting, quick configurations, and helpful support
It's a cloud-based setup, so there's no challenge in getting everything up and running. The downtime should be minimal. I'd rate the process nine out of ten in terms of ease of deployment. There is a three-month implementation exercise that we control. We have five people who were part of the implementation and maintenance process. They are admins and web developers.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"It is extremely customizable to each and every one of my clients' needs."
"I like being able to customize your views."
"The value is that monday.com provides us with an overall picture of how much work a teammate has."
"The product's initial setup phase was straightforward."
"I use the templates function to create standard templates for my project plans that I can easily duplicate and disperse organizationally."
"It has kept all our departments accountable and gives a quick birds-eye to see how projects are progressing."
"Automation is definitely my favorite feature as it makes our lives so much easier."
"It gives me an overall view of everything someone is working on. I can go to the My Work feature, click on someone's name, and see all the tasks assigned to that person; their whole workload."
"The reporting part is very good."

Cons

"We need the product to keep adding automation - specifically more subitem automation."
"I would like the web-based app to be able to switch between different accounts. The mobile app can switch between accounts pretty easily, but with the web-based app, you have to log out and log back in to do it."
"The solution shouldn't let the system directly pull out Outlook (the Windows default mail system) whenever we click on an email address."
"It would be quite cool if it could connect to my Outlook calendar and put the project deadlines in there."
"The web page can be a bit buggy at times, especially after I switch to a different tab and then come back to the Monday site after leaving it idle for a few minutes."
"Coordination with different social media platforms would be a convenient feature."
"It is difficult to create templates for repeat use cases."
"I believe the reporting functionality could be improved on monday.com. While some reports are accessible, this area has room for enhancement. For example, including a Gantt chart in project planning would be valuable. This addition could make monday.com more competitive with tools like Microsoft Project. Overall, I think there's potential for improvement in the graphical interfaces and reports provided by monday.com."
"Some of the reports could be automated."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"There are features that they're putting in the Enterprise plan that you have to pay for the Enterprise plan to use those features. The Enterprise plan is probably double or triple the Pro plan price, or it may be two and a half times. From a business standpoint, I don't like the fact that I have to pay two and a half times more to use a particular feature."
"The licensing cost is not that high for monday.com. However, if you need an implementer, the cost is high because there aren't so many monday.com professionals."
"I think monday.com's paywalls are a little too high. Some basic features are locked behind the premium subscription. Some applications they offer within their subscription model are locked in an expensive package. These applications provide functionality that would benefit small teams, but it's too much money for a startup or a small business."
"monday.com is pretty affordable. It's cheaper than Asana. There are four tiers, including a free version. The free version is fine if you don't have any complex projects. One of the most advanced plans is around $16 per month per user."
"We tell others it's about $2200 for a ten-person plan and it can be adjusted; it's easy to scale."
"It was fairly reasonable. For everything we were using it for, it was fairly reasonable."
"I am using its free version."
"The pricing of monday.com is worth it."
