We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The setup was quite simple. The website easily explains how to set it up and if you want to integrate it with BMP tools there are online simple step tutorials.""BrowserStack's best feature is browser testing across different platforms, including mobile.""The main core concept behind this product is, it takes the overhead of maintaining all of your devices or particular computers. It continuously adds the latest devices that are coming into the market.""The most valuable feature of BrowserStack is the ability to do manual testing.""The most valuable feature is the variety the solution offers around the different types of devices, especially mobile devices.""Maintenance of the solution is easy.""The speed of the solution and its performance are valuable.""The product's initial setup phase was not very difficult."

"The most valuable feature of Ranorex Studio is the capture and replay tool. You don't need to do script testing. When you launch any application from Ranorex Studio it automatically captures these test case steps. The next time you can replay the tool the flow automatically happens again. For example, when you do the logging and all the activity will be captured by the tool, and re-execute the same step by using automatization.""Easy integration with CI Tools like Jenkins, TFS, and TeamCity.""The scalability is very good. It's probably one of the better tools I've seen on the market.""This is a powerful, reliable and versatile all-around application testing suite.""Code Conversion is one of the great features because sometimes, the automation tool doesn't have the capability of maneuvering around two specific evaluations.""The solution is intuitive and pretty self-sustaining. You don't need a lot of help with it in terms of setup or assistance.""I'm from a UFT background, so Ranorex Studio has a similar feel in terms of how it handles objects. It just felt familiar even though I'd never seen it before. However, it doesn't have all the bells and whistles of UFT, but it's a pretty good start, and it's cost-effective.""Data security was prime for us. Being able to download and run tests on our local machines was a big plus. The flexibility Ranorex offers in terms of customization is outstanding."

Cons
"Occasionally, there are disruptions in the connection which can interfere with our testing processes, especially when testing on phones.""Sometimes BrowserStack is really slow and devices are not loading. it is really annoying and that's why we bought several newer devices because sometimes it's affecting us a lot.""BrowserStack should work on its Internet connectivity although issues only occur occasionally.""It is difficult to use for someone who has little to no experience.""BrowserStack is scalable, but cost is significant for those living in Mexico.""While I was testing I was not 100% sure a that was properly mimicking the browsers or not. We had some issues with a browser, and the reason was the browser itself does not provide any support. If the local system does not provide any support, I think this was the problem. There should be better integration with other solutions, such as JIRA.""We are having difficulty with the payment system for the BrowserStack team, as they only accept credit cards and we are encountering some issues.""We are struggling to do local testing."

More BrowserStack Cons →

"The solution's technical support team could be responsive.""For our purposes it requires integration with other products to get out the results in the format we want them. Adding this to the product could improve it.""If there are many queries on the web page, Ranorex will not render the page correctly. I had about 1,000 queries on the page, and the solution was not able to handle it.""Ranorex is used in Windows while other solutions, for example, Katalon Studio, are cross-platform. (But in my opinion, overall, Ranorex is better).""When Ranorex is upgraded, the compatibility with other projects, in version control, in-house or on-premise, fails on occasion. However, overall, the stability is good.""Part of the challenge is that Ranorex's support is over in Europe, so we can't get responses on the same day. If we had support in the United States that was a bit more timely, that would be helpful.""We are mainly working for manufacturing OEMs but the integration is not available. It would be a benefit if they built one integration tool for all the Teamcenter home servers and software as the main PLM data source. It is a simple process at this time, the integration could be made easier.""When we have updated the solution in the past there have been issues with the libraries. They need to make it clear that the libraries need to be upgraded too."
