Easy to use, reliable, and simple to expand
We have used the same version for two years, however, now there's a new version, which solves a lot of problems. The solution we use that's from two years ago, has the ARIS Connect Server, the web application, and the ARIS client application. Some things you have to do in the clients, and you can't do them in the web environment. In the new version, though it's not installed by us, it's changed. You can do this. You can do almost everything in the web client. The difficulty that you have with switching between the two environments is solved in the new version. However, I haven't tested it yet. That said, that was one of the issues we had. It's a bit annoying that you have to use two environments in the older version.

User finds integration useful but seeks improvement in interface intuitiveness
I am satisfied with OpenText Documentum so far; it has great integration capabilities. The connection with our API and SAP is useful, as you can use their SAP interface. The key point that my company decided to go with OpenText Documentum is mostly because you can integrate it with many other tools such as Salesforce.

"Using this solution we can design our own processor governance, assign some specific technical services, and also run tests of the process to make sure it operates as we need it to."
"It is a very secure system. It is reliable, and that is one of the reasons people manage their content within Documentum. It gives them the confidence that the content is accessible to the right people and not to the wrong people."
"I appreciate Documentum's scalability, allowing for vast volumes of content storage."
"OpenText Documentum is a robust choice for enterprise-level document management."
"The most valuable feature is that it's a central repository for everything, whether it's videos, documents, Excel sheets, etc."
"It has the ability to categorize and search."
"We use this for documentation management, as it provides possibilities for us to save documents and support the business process while doing so."
"The stability is very good, and sometimes we have connection issues with the DocBase Java Method Servers or DocBroker services because our project is about 400 megabytes and very big, but the designer works hard to resolve it."
"I recommend Documentum as it supports big systems and offers good integration."

Cons

"There is a lot of complexity around licensing."
"The solution uses a coding language for process design that is specific only to this product."
"I recognize the product has areas for potential improvement similar to every tool."
"There is a lot of complexity around licensing and that should be improved."
"The solution uses a coding language for process design that is specific only to this product. We would like to see this changed to something more universal."
"It's a bit annoying that you have to use two environments in the older version."
"It's a bit annoying that you have to use two environments in the older version."
"OpenText Documentum needs to improve its support."
"An area that needs to improve is how to reduce storage space on the AWS site."
"The BPM side should be improved."
"We get our support from a partner, not from them directly. I don't like the consultancy, they don't have a lot of experience but they sell this solution."
"The product needs to improve the way documents are logged together. I believe running it on the cloud or containerization will bring value to it. The tool's Time to Market and deployment cycle need to be improved. Finding suitable training materials for OpenText Documentum is also a bottleneck. If we can find the training modules easily, we can bring together people, give them quick training, and start working on the deployment. It can help with quick outputs."
"The documentation often leaves customers feeling somewhat frustrated, as OpenText seems to expect customers to remind them constantly about the need for better documentation, as they don't provide clear guidance on their documentation practices."
"Documentum xCP 2.3 still has some drawbacks such as dependent filtration among multiple drop down lists in result list, unable to access all user tasks from all processes in user inbox, and unable to include task link in task notification mail automatically."
"When Dell EMC had the technical support, it was better in terms of response and resolution. After the acquisition of Documentum from Dell EMC to OpenText the support became not as good in terms of responses and resolutions."
