Enables management of multiple operating systems with a single license
The best feature is that it's a Microsoft product, so if anything goes wrong, we get quick support for anything required. Remote system functionality allows us to sit anywhere and take control of any device via remote management. We can enhance security for clients' laptops with built-in Microsoft Defender, which is available with the Microsoft Intune license. We use it for reporting purposes through endpoint analytics. When pushing scripting, there are two types available: remediation script and reservation script. Through endpoint analytics, you can push defender policies to clients. It helps with reporting, inventory updates, and monitoring tenant status health.

Really good in terms of content delivery and network bandwidth optimization
Using Adaptiva is really straightforward. Users need to have some end-user computing and networking knowledge to use the solution. The project or implementation team we worked with had good technical knowledge. I really liked the solution's performance. Adaptiva helped us with network bandwidth optimization and content delivery. Overall, I rate the solution eight and a half out of ten.

Real-time data and insights with a smooth UI
The primary use case of Nexthink is for IT service management and ticket time reduction. We use it to get real-time data, as Nexthink provides data in real-time with a maximum delay of five minutes Nexthink is valuable for showing real-time data. We also appreciate the smooth UI and dashboard.…

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The ability to work from all over the planet is valuable. You just need a functioning and working Internet connection."
"This product offers an alternative solution to other UEM (Unified Endpoint Management) solutions."
"I can reach devices or computers over the internet. I don't need to worry about the network connectivity between the offices. I can manage any device. That is the most important part."
"Technical support, in general, has been quite helpful."
"The features of Microsoft Intune that I appreciate the most are its user-friendly interface and robust security options."
"The security posture is very good. It's very customizable."
"The thing I appreciate most about Microsoft Intune is that the management of the devices was very simplified."
"Conditional access has helped us tailor and enforce our security policies in the mobile space."
"Adaptiva is really good in terms of content delivery and network bandwidth optimization."
"Nexthink allows our customers to have visibility into their whole environment and security. And it lets you install the agent as a package for selected users instead of every user. This helps cut down on the delay involved in a bulk installation."
"Nexthink saves a lot of time for the technicians who work on the troubleshooting side...Nexthink provides its users with a very good point of overview and presentation."
"The initial setup is very simple."
"Nexthink is valuable for showing real-time data."
"The solution's most valuable features are its cloud capabilities, particularly the dashboards and metrics."
"With this solution we are able to link issues to automatic actions that will solve the problem."
"The most valuable feature of Nexthink is its proactive issue identification, which is part of its unique selling proposition."
"Nexthink's best features are Engage and Act, which we use in combination for self-healing use cases."

Cons

"The platform is incredibly slow and could be more responsive. Specifically, when making changes to security policies, I would like to see those changes take effect more quickly."
"It would be great if Intune offered better data protection controls for BYOD Windows PCs."
"It just doesn't handle software updates well at all by itself. You need to be a scripting wizard to make those happen properly, or you use third-party tools. The Windows feature updates are very difficult to implement. I would like to see a proprietary built-in remote control tool. I know that they have Team Viewer integrated, but it is not seamless. It would be nice if they had a seamless remote desktop capability directly from the Intune console."
"Customer service is not really good. I would give it a six out of ten. The main issue is the time it takes to get someone involved who truly understands what the product does."
"It's only good for a Microsoft environment."
"The security features should be improved."
"I am not involved in the day-to-day with Intune, but we have gone with a different product for updating mobile device software. We do not integrate many of our mobile devices that are not Microsoft-based devices, such as Dell laptops, with Intune."
"Although Intune is from the same provider, its integration with other Microsoft products, like Microsoft Defender or Microsoft Purview, could be improved."
"It would be good if Adaptiva had everything on the cloud rather than having one server on-premises."
"We have provided them feedback on a few changes we would like to see with how alerting can work. Rather than have somebody looking at the network, if network utilization goes above a certain point, it would be helpful if the solution issued an alert to the right people."
"Nexthink could have better integration with ITSM tools - at the moment, they only integrate with ServiceNow, so adding other tools, like HP SMAX, would be very useful."
"The UI is hierarchical, which makes navigation complex and isn't user-friendly for those unfamiliar with it."
"We need some guidance from the Nexthink team on some of the new features they are releasing and how best to use them."
"I would like it if they could put in some patch deployments and compliances."
"The stability of this solution could be greatly improved to avoid performance issues."
"The solution could use better automation and less coding. Since I am part of the administrative background, I'm not completely into the development side. I'm not well versed in coding."
"There are many limitations. If I'm using a Windows 10 system and Windows has certain restrictions, Nexthink won't be able to penetrate into the Windows OS due to those restrictions."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It comes with the E5 plan. We bought the E5 plan from Microsoft."
"Intune comes with the licensing that is common for large organizations. However, Microsoft has recently released many add-ons that are very expensive, especially for large organizations or corporations."
"Intune is available as an individual product, but it also comes with Office 365 Premium or an Enterprise license, and the price varies for each version."
"Existing E5 license holders for M365, Intune, and Azure, receive a free license."
"While Microsoft charges for actual usage, it lacks discount options."
"It is not a cheap solution. The price for a device when you start using it at a large scale can be improved. It is covered under our enterprise agreement. We pay once a year. I am not aware of any additional costs."
"Cost is not my department, but the product is included in the E5 license that we already pay for every user, so no additional cost is incurred."
"The pricing is good because customers are not complaining about it."
Information not available
"With this implementation of the Act and Engage module, I believe that there is a one-time fee for a two-month period, which is for the support team to make additional customizations."
"I would rate the tool's pricing a nine out of ten. The tool's pricing model is pay-as-you-use."
"There are certain layers when it comes to pricing. The product has three layers and these layers are associated with certain sources. For example, the top layer have the premium services and the bottom layer has the basic services."
"I have seen it help improve the user experience scores. This helped clients to save costs on another tool that they were trying to deploy in order to improve the user experience by just deploying some scripts. We were able to identify the issues and help them remediate those using our help. The process does not take much time and it provided background on end user performance. Therefore, they were able to save a lot, e.g., for approximately 50,000 endpoints at two dollars per machine per year, that is about $100,000 in savings."
"Nexthink can pay for itself quickly if you identify and complete the most valuable use cases. The tool can do so much that to purely compare the price in a static way to other tools in your arsenal would be a mistake. If you do a more dynamic comparison that’s based on the overall functionality and use cases possible then it comes out cheaper. You need to consider it a relative measurement against potential use cases, size of the organization, maturity of organization, etc."
