One of the major challenges that ThoughtSpot solves is reducing the dependency on data teams for reports and insights. ThoughtSpot also integrates well with modern data cloud platforms like Snowflake. This platform enables the creation of dynamic, interactive dashboards and visualization which helps track KPIs and provide insights into business performance. We are able to make data-driven decisions, know how our business is doing, and understand where to put more effort and where our clients are very happy about our business. ThoughtSpot empowers non-technical users to perform ad hoc data analysis. Users can use a Google-like search interface to query data and generate insights in real-time without relying on the data team.

We are able to gather data insights from different data sources and make our own data-driven decisions easily without even involving the data team. ThoughtSpot delivers performance at scale, ensuring that even the largest organization can quickly analyze and visualize data without needing a data team. I love the ability to seamlessly share live dashboards, foster collaboration, and ensure everyone in the organization is working from the same data source and aligned in decision-making.

ThoughtSpot allows us to create live boards that process quickly when it comes to large datasets. We are able to do a live data connection that gives us scalability to find insights that ultimately guide us in the strategic management of our data, whether it is engineering, marketing, product, or any department. Our teams are able to make their own data-driven decisions easily. This serves a wide array of use cases when the strategy is focused on product.

We gather data from different departments through ThoughtSpot, which enables us to collaborate and make data-driven decisions together.

I have an experience of four years using ThoughtSpot.

ThoughtSpot is very easy to use. Even non-technical users find it very easy to use and user-friendly.

Some of the best features ThoughtSpot offers are innovation, ease of use, and data analytics. Reporting development is also pretty easy, making complex formulas slightly easier. Additionally, dashboarding for non-technical people, easy search of data, ease of getting insights, AI-driven analytics, and the ability to easily build charts are highlights. ThoughtSpot also offers data connection with live data sources.

ThoughtSpot's scalability is impressive; it can handle large data easily, and performance has been powerful and reliable. The AI-driven analytics capabilities in ThoughtSpot help to predict future outcomes and are very helpful in tracking data, and performance is great.

The customizability of the visualization live boards should be improved. Additional support for more data warehouse systems is needed, as data does not always match sometimes. Sophisticated data modeling features like AFC should be included.

The customer support for ThoughtSpot is very proactive and supportive, available 24/7.

It was very easy for my team to learn and adopt ThoughtSpot since it has a very user-friendly interface. The customer support is proactive 24/7, so they are able to support both technical and non-technical users.

We switched from Looker and Sisense before using ThoughtSpot.

I did not previously use a different solution before ThoughtSpot.

The integration process with our existing data sources and tools is very seamless.

The performance of ThoughtSpot has been very fast, reliable, and consistent, even when handling huge amounts of data. I have not seen any crashes.

This tool has really improved our decision-making by 70 to 80% because we are able to rely on insights from different data sources from different departments. We can make data-driven decisions easily. ThoughtSpot is a very good tool because it does not usually take much time from the data team. We make our own decisions without even involving the data team, allowing them to save time and focus on more strategic projects.

The pricing, setup cost, and licensing for ThoughtSpot are competitive, and it is a very user-friendly tool compared to its competitors. Setting it up was easy and straightforward.

Before choosing ThoughtSpot, I evaluated the Microsoft BI tool.

If others want to be reliant on themselves and not on the data team, they should consider using ThoughtSpot. ThoughtSpot gathers insights from different data sources and allows for making their own data-driven decisions.

It is easy to make data-driven decisions with ThoughtSpot. Consequently, we are able to gather insights from different data sources, improving data security. Tracking and progress reports are simple to generate, and the speed of execution is commendable.

ThoughtSpot is very easy to use, cost-effective, and a very secure tool. I would rate this product an 8 out of 10.

My main use case for ThoughtSpot is to provide self-service analytics capabilities for our company and the business stakeholders. As the manager of the data analytics team, we are managing ThoughtSpot and the models so that the end users can get their answers quickly.

A quick specific example of how my team or stakeholders use ThoughtSpot day-to-day is that almost all business domains within the company use it to check the daily performance of our operations.

Regarding my main use case, we started using Spotter, the AI agent, for our account managers so that they can ask Spotter to evaluate their clients' performance and provide more action points or recommendations for their clients and also identify the risky ones.

Before ThoughtSpot, we had limited exposure of data to end users with some more static dashboards or reports. We basically achieved 80% monthly active users and 65% weekly active users in ThoughtSpot in a consistent way, so those numbers speak for themselves in terms of how the data now is embedded within the day-to-day and also more strategic operations.

Regarding how this shift to data-driven decisions has affected my team's workflow or business outcomes, the positive impact for the data analysts is that with the increase of self-service usage, the end users are able to meet their own needs. This means that the data analysts now have more time to work on more complex tasks instead of just adding columns or filters to the existing dashboards.

The best features ThoughtSpot offers are definitely the overall self-service capabilities, such as how you can easily create your own reports or answers using the search field.

On top of that, the Spotter tree is also excellent.

The search field and Spotter tree help my team or business stakeholders by allowing users to use the self-service analytics to drill down or slightly change the existing reports to find their specific needs without asking the data team to provide them the reports.

For Spotter tree, the main benefit is the ability to answer not just what questions, but also why type of questions to analyze the data and create insights.

ThoughtSpot could be improved in that the only part where ThoughtSpot is lacking compared to the more traditional players such as Tableau and Power BI is regarding the options with the visualizations and the customizations abilities for those visualizations. They provide Muse Studio now, which means that we can also build any custom visual that we want.

However, it is not really the same as having the native visualization abilities with the added features, so that is the part where ThoughtSpot could improve.

Regarding needed improvements from the visualization and customization options, I cannot think of anything else.

I have been using ThoughtSpot for close to three years.

ThoughtSpot is stable.

Regarding ThoughtSpot's scalability, I would say it is more about the scalability of the warehouse that you are working with, so there is nothing worrying about the scalability on ThoughtSpot's end.

My experience with customer support is that it is great. Whenever I have any question or problem, I can create a ticket, which gets answered quickly and also resolved in a short time. The account manager or the overall team is very helpful with everything. The solutions engineers, even after the POC period, just kept supporting us, even though it was not really their responsibility to keep supporting us.

When I joined the company three years ago, they were using Preset, and we started with ThoughtSpot POC on my second week. From what I know with my limited experience with Preset, it was very hard for the analyst to create the reports. It also was not the greatest experience for the end users, and we had user-based licensing, so the adoption was also low. There was also not really a capability of tracking the adoption, and ThoughtSpot was a huge improvement over Preset.

I would describe the integration process between ThoughtSpot and our existing data sources as pretty consistent and native. We are using Snowflake, and the connection is seamless.

I have not seen a return on investment as I do not have any metrics available, but it has really helped the company's overall very strong growth numbers for the past two years.

My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing is that I was not part of the pricing discussions. One thing I can provide is that they are being very flexible with the limits, and they also do not necessarily provide user-based licensing, which I think is a big positive on their side.

The advice I would give to others looking into using ThoughtSpot is that I think it is a really great tool, especially if they are considering more self-service analytics capabilities around the organization. If they want to also start utilizing AI without developing something internally, Spotter is very easy to build, optimize, and start using on top of the existing models. I would rate this product a 9 out of 10.

My main use case for ThoughtSpot is to enable self-reports in our company, allowing self users to produce the dashboards themselves and query our data in Snowflake with the prompting.

Our team works in the field of procurement and uses ThoughtSpot for self-service reporting, where the main source of our data is spend reporting data. Users can ask Spotter in ThoughtSpot, pin the answers to their liveboards, and create plots tailored to their category or department, which reduces the workload for our team as we don't have to answer each ad hoc request.

In addition to my main use case, we also start using ThoughtSpot for different use cases where Spotter combines various data sources and runs deep analyses such as forecasting or joining different tables by itself.

One of the best features ThoughtSpot offers is Spotter, which gives the opportunity to translate prompts in natural language to SQL queries. Additionally, flexible dashboard solutions and the new feature called Spotter Viz are really helpful for business users to produce their own dashboards.

The natural language querying and flexible dashboards have reduced the number of ad hoc requests our team receives, as business users now have access to the data sources and can solve their ad hoc requests by directly asking ThoughtSpot.

ThoughtSpot has positively impacted my organization, being considered a successful user story and an innovative tool in our department that fosters AI development.

ThoughtSpot has helped my team by reducing the workload of each of our team members by 4-8 hours per week, which we no longer have to spend on ad hoc requests.

Currently, we notice a bug in ThoughtSpot when Spotter joins different data sets extracted from Snowflake or produced by SQL. It joins data using Python and operates only on a sample of data, so not the full dataset is analyzed by Spotter, and in our use case, only 10% of our data is correctly analyzed.

The AI model used by Spotter can still hallucinate and sometimes fails to follow the instructions precisely, even though instructions are set, which is a needed improvement.

I choose eight out of ten because the tool is very innovative and provides the opportunity to use AI to communicate with data in cloud databases. It is quite easy for business users to use, but there is still room for improvement, such as resolving the existing bugs that analyze only a sample or a fraction of the data.

The AI capabilities of Spotter can still produce hallucinations, and sometimes it analyzes only a sample of data rather than the complete dataset. These are the biggest disadvantages for my team.

I have been using ThoughtSpot for the last nine months.

ThoughtSpot is stable most of the time we use it.

ThoughtSpot's scalability is quite good, as it is easy to implement a lot of data and connect it to Snowflake. However, as I mentioned, it analyzes some data only on a sample basis, which means it cannot analyze the full dataset that it has access to.

The customer support from ThoughtSpot is great; we receive a lot of assistance from ThoughtSpot managers, and the regular meetings we have are helpful for our ThoughtSpot adoption in the company.

We previously used Tableau for dashboarding extensively. We did not switch completely to ThoughtSpot, as it provides opportunities to create more flexible and ad hoc solutions for our business users, while Tableau is used to produce standard reports.

ThoughtSpot was deployed in my team three months ago, so we can only determine how much time we save per week, which is about 4-8 hours per employee.

In my large company, I did not have to deal with any pricing or setup costs. ThoughtSpot is a globally approved tool for my company, so users do not have to pay anything extra; pricing is based on the number of rows extracted for our data, which I find quite fair, with no additional costs for queries or prompts produced by users.

We did not evaluate any other options before choosing ThoughtSpot.

ThoughtSpot is deployed in our organization with a server, but I am not certain of the exact technical implementation, as several organizations within the company use different instances.

ThoughtSpot provides one of the best AI capabilities available in the market for dashboard and front-end solutions. It is easy to learn to use for both technical and non-technical users and integrates well with existing data if it is already in good shape. Additionally, ThoughtSpot continues to deliver a lot of elaborated AI features to assist our users.

I rate this review eight out of ten.

I had some experience with ThoughtSpot. It was a very limited use case, as I was just a part of a POC, so I cannot really comment.

Different BI tools have their strengths and weaknesses. If you take Tableau, it has very adjustability. You can make any kinds of dashboards in Tableau, and you can do many things. If you take Power BI, it has a good background of Microsoft helping it with its Microsoft services. So, different tools have different plus points. The point which I found to be a strength point for Domo was collaboration while building dashboards and pipelines, and the volume of data it used to handle. Domo has its own place in the market, but I would suggest the certification costs and the pricing for clients needs to be reduced a little. Otherwise, it's a good tool.

It's very consumer-friendly, and it adopted the GenAI features very quickly. I would measure Domo and ThoughtSpot on a similar scale, so there's a limited difference.

When researching new data, you need some machine which helps us scout through the entire data and give us basic insights. It takes very little time for us to gauge the kind of data it is, its nature, quality, and makes quality check and governance easy. Testing becomes easy, and if I have some questions for ad-hoc analysis, that becomes easy on ThoughtSpot, so that is very handy in those areas. It's not actually developed for developers; it is developed more for a middle to senior level, considering the conversational AI features.

I have used that feature, and that was very handy, but in an actual case scenario, you would not use that too much because you don't know the kind of formulas which have been used in the background. There are chances that it might hallucinate or build some different formulas than what you are expecting as a developer. Although it's a very nice feature to have, I don't think that is something which can survive alone.

There should be a free version of it for people to learn easily so that they get adapted easily and get used to supporting the Domo community, which is something very important.

The certification costs and the pricing for clients needs to be reduced a little.

You need to have someone working on the back end.

I have been working in this field for close to four and a half years.

It is stable.

I'm not sure about its scalability; I have no real-time experience on that.

I did not actually reach out much to the Domo support, but a few seniors of mine who reached out found it satisfactory.

They had a good experience with Domo.

We can rate them 9 or 10 for their support, and we never had any complaints.

ThoughtSpot customer service is slightly slower than what I expected. I had reached out to them for some reason, and there was a slight delay. I got a response from them maybe two weeks later, but they resolved my issue the moment they got back to it.

This was just a POC, and I never sold or tried selling ThoughtSpot to anyone, although I tried selling Domo.

It's straightforward. I did my architect certification in ThoughtSpot, and it's straightforward to set up and work on it.

I have done my certification, so I know that there is an on-prem version of it. I did the cloud one, the cloud architect one, so it is pretty straightforward, and it's basically plug-and-play.

I recently moved into data engineering, but prior to this, I was a senior analyst at blend360.com.

I did not do a real-time case on predictive analysis on ThoughtSpot, so I cannot give you a right answer.

Domo features I have not really been exposed to, so I cannot comment on Domo. ThoughtSpot is good for scouting and learning, but that cannot be used as a base for production items. So, I cannot really compare on that scale.

It's not the best for ThoughtSpot.

I rate ThoughtSpot a six out of ten.

My main use case for ThoughtSpot involves building a self-service ThoughtSpot environment for our clients, focusing on both on-premise and cloud solutions. We emphasize ThoughtSpot as a self-service tool for our clients so they can discover their data.

A specific example of how a client uses ThoughtSpot for self-service is that it has an AI-driven natural language processing chatbot, which allows users to ask questions and receive visualizations based on their data. We enabled this functionality for our client, allowing users to directly interact with the data models we published to ThoughtSpot and create their own visualizations by speaking to ThoughtSpot in natural language.

Regarding my main use case, I believe it is very important that a central data team approves and develops all data models because these data models will be used by the end users. It is crucial for the data team to approve these data models, which can be organized by domains, making it easier for users to select the data model they want to use. For example, if they are in the HR department, they simply select the HR data model and can ask their questions.

The best feature that ThoughtSpot offers is its AI chatbot, which creates visualizations and data explorations by talking with the chatbot. You can inquire about product sales from last year, and ThoughtSpot analyzes your questions, words, and sentences to create a visualization based on what you said. This functionality is excellent because you do not need to be data savvy or have extensive knowledge about data analysis; you simply ask questions as you would to a colleague, and ThoughtSpot generates all the visualizations you need, which you can customize later.

ThoughtSpot has positively impacted my organization as it is very user-friendly, which is essential since most clients desire something easy to use and may not always have a trained data team. ThoughtSpot saves time by allowing users to create their visualizations manually because it can generate them automatically. The tool is very interactive, enabling users to build a dashboard in just ten to twenty minutes by asking questions, and ThoughtSpot provides the necessary visualizations to assemble into a dashboard. Everything about it is very user-friendly, which clients appreciate.

Productivity has increased significantly and is very measurable. For example, some of our clients used other tools previously that required everything to be built manually, but with ThoughtSpot, we could replace all of the dashboards in less than a month, which would have taken up to a year before.

ThoughtSpot needs to improve because all visualization tools such as Power BI and other BI tools are also using AI to make dashboard creation more efficient. The strength of ThoughtSpot lies in its user-friendliness as a visualization tool and data discovery tool, allowing users without technical knowledge to utilize it. I think if they focus on making it more accessible, user-friendly, and available for any user without a data background, that would be perfect.

On support and integration, in general, it is good, but it would be beneficial if they developed more connections to accommodate the various options for storing data, whether on-premises or in the cloud. There are always new connections becoming available every day, week, and year, which is an area that ThoughtSpot needs to improve.

I have been using ThoughtSpot for the last three to four years.

ThoughtSpot is stable.

In terms of scalability, I think ThoughtSpot is great and we have never had any problems with scalability.

Customer support at ThoughtSpot is excellent; they respond very quickly when we reach out, so I am very happy with them. I would rate the customer support a nine out of ten because they are always very responsive.

We used Power BI before switching to ThoughtSpot.

Overall, I find the pricing and setup cost of ThoughtSpot to be great considering what it can do for your organization, so I would rate it very positively.

ThoughtSpot is not installed in our environment; we are installing it for clients and providing both cloud and on-premises solutions.

I do not have specific metrics on return on investment, but generally, it is very positive since we need fewer employees for ThoughtSpot because the AI contributes significantly.

Before choosing ThoughtSpot, I evaluated other options, primarily Power BI and Qlik Sense.

For others looking into using ThoughtSpot, I think it is a great tool and very user-friendly, so I recommend it. I give this product an overall rating of eight out of ten.

The background is that I have been working with ThoughtSpot during my learning period on the job when working for Binder, a digital asset management enterprise solution. I was there for four months and during that time, I actively used it as a data visualization tool.

I last used ThoughtSpot approximately ten to eleven months ago.

We used ThoughtSpot as a visualization tool for stakeholders, and there were many live charts. Because of optimization requirements, I had tasks to collect metadata information from ThoughtSpot regarding the usage time of the charts. To do that, I used third-party extensions for ThoughtSpot to retrieve information about when charts were last used, and I provided stakeholders and management with that information so they could see when the charts were last used and perform cleanup of the charts as needed. Additionally, I had tasks to optimize one of the live charts which was throwing an exception.

ThoughtSpot served as a visualization tool for stakeholders with many live charts. Because of optimization requirements, I had tasks to collect metadata information from ThoughtSpot regarding the usage time of the charts. To accomplish this, I used third-party extensions for ThoughtSpot to retrieve information about when charts were last used, and I provided stakeholders and management with that information so they could see when the charts were last used and perform cleanup of the charts as needed. Additionally, I had tasks to optimize one of the live charts which was throwing an exception.

I personally did not escalate any questions to the tech support team, but I believe someone from the team had to contact customer service. We deleted some charts purposely, and then we had to contact customer service to retrieve them because it was not possible to do so from our side.

The speed of ThoughtSpot could be improved. Speed is a critical aspect for displaying the data, and optimization was needed to increase the speed for displaying the data.

I last used the solution approximately ten to eleven months ago.

Everything was working fine with ThoughtSpot without any problems.

I personally did not escalate any questions to the tech support team, but I believe someone from the team had to contact customer service. We deleted some charts purposely, and then we had to contact customer service to retrieve them because it was not possible to do so from our side.

My interactions with customer service were positive. The only concern was that it required some time, possibly a day or two to retrieve the data, but that is normal.

I have read the description regarding PeerSpot in an email, so I was somewhat informed.

It was easy to onboard ThoughtSpot. It was really easy to learn and to be part of the team that was already working with it.

I was also working with Power BI from Microsoft, and it was in a similar range with ThoughtSpot. ThoughtSpot has most of the features that clients wanted, bringing value for them.

I was using Metabase as part of an internal project during which we performed containerization, and Metabase was included in one of the containers. We used it for the data visualization of our DBT models in that project. There were some other tryouts with free versions, but I cannot recall their names. I was also using Snowflake, which has its own visualization part integrated, and it is really good, but I would say not as good as ThoughtSpot because ThoughtSpot is mainly used for visualization of data and has more features than Snowflake's visualization component.

Currently, I cannot remember any disadvantages of ThoughtSpot compared to other products. During the time when I was working with it, almost a year ago, there may have been some user interface features, but that is something one gets used to when working with it. I do not want to mention it as a disadvantage because one just needs to become accustomed to it when working.

I would recommend ThoughtSpot because I had a good experience working with it. It is easy to learn, easy to work with, and intuitive. ThoughtSpot is a really good tool to work with. I am not aware of the pricing, so I cannot comment on that aspect, but from my point of view, I would definitely recommend it and I like to mention it in my CVs that I have experience working with it.

I am currently simultaneously working with Power BI, ThoughtSpot, Snowflake, and Postgres as the products and solutions. ThoughtSpot is deployed on AWS.

It was implemented as a POC model because we previously used Oracle-based business intelligence, such as OAC. Due to cost considerations, we moved to Power BI, which is working fine currently. Because of recent advancements, ThoughtSpot is excellent at processing huge amounts of data. Where Power BI lacks processing compute power, we conducted a POC to check the accuracy and design capabilities of the dashboards. We worked on ThoughtSpot, tried to replicate existing reports, reconcile them, and then implemented it for one project.

The best feature is usability from the customer and client perspective. Usually, we would need a dedicated developer for creating reports in Power BI. However, ThoughtSpot is really easy to work with. The connectivity is easy with other databases, and the amount of data it consumes and the generation power is impressive. In Power BI, refreshing the same amount of data takes almost half an hour, while in ThoughtSpot it takes approximately 10-15 seconds.

Once all the datasets and configurations are set up, the usability in ThoughtSpot is excellent. Users can utilize NLQ and get quality results. The entire dashboard functionality is superior compared to Power BI's Q&A and recently introduced Co-pilot, as ThoughtSpot understands the data better.

We have seen areas where improvements are needed for predictions with natural language search. While we can derive normal Gaussian curve predictions, there are additional aspects that could be enhanced.

AI-driven insights in ThoughtSpot have not been implemented yet as our organization has not approved releasing the data to AI. This process is still pending approval.

The prediction model needs improvement. While NLQ is working perfectly fine and the data understanding capabilities of ThoughtSpot are good, there is room for improvement. Compared to Oracle's DV or Microsoft Power BI, it is more advanced. However, when implementing it for finance, general ledger, profit and loss, and balance sheet applications, we faced some challenges as these areas require very accurate data.

I have been using ThoughtSpot for approximately six months.

There were no challenges with the initial setup of ThoughtSpot. It was straightforward.

We have not experienced any glitches or downtimes with ThoughtSpot. After delivery, we haven't received any negative feedback from our brokers.

We haven't attempted to scale it up because it's being used by a small group. Scaling might be necessary when we implement it for bigger projects.

We have not yet required technical support.

The initial setup of ThoughtSpot was straightforward. It would be beneficial if ThoughtSpot had an integration tool for migration purposes. For example, when moving from Oracle-based analytics to ThoughtSpot or from Power BI to ThoughtSpot, a tool that could pull in all connections, understand the design in Power BI, and replicate it in ThoughtSpot would be valuable. This would eliminate most migration challenges, make the process smoother, and require less manpower.

The initial setup of ThoughtSpot was straightforward.

I handled the deployment myself and purchased ThoughtSpot from the vendor.

Compared to Power BI, ThoughtSpot is more expensive. This is why we haven't implemented it for most projects currently. Based on our implementation in one project, we are trying to raise more funding to expand its use.

The main difference is the heavy reliance on developers for visualization development and data modeling in other technologies compared to ThoughtSpot. Additionally, the in-memory computation power is significantly lower in competitor products. Oracle DV has recently gained attention due to its predictive model capability and flexible design options.

ThoughtSpot is quite intuitive. We haven't used it for workflows yet as most workflows and pipelines are developed in Snowflake using Snowpipe and PL/SQLs. The main benefit is the reduced dependency for generating reports.

Two major benefits are the reduced reliance on developers to get accurate data and the impressive data processing capabilities.

The organization-level setup is straightforward, and the integration with AD server is seamless. The SSO configurations work smoothly.

It would be beneficial to have more variety of visuals included in ThoughtSpot, though the current offerings perform adequately.

The in-memory computing and NLQ capabilities are significant advantages compared to other technologies in the market.

On a scale of 1-10, I rate ThoughtSpot an 8.

I use ThoughtSpot for our BI internal use cases at Zoomin software. I mainly developed models for go-to-market, HR, product teams, and customer success.

The main core of ThoughtSpot is to create models, connect data pipelines, and create business models and dashboards on top of them. I often use connections to external systems like syncing information with Salesforce or exporting data to spreadsheets. I started to review the AI capabilities of ThoughtSpot but terminated my work with it due to our company's acquisition by Salesforce.

I encountered limitations mainly around UI and dashboard configuration. The widgets are simple with limited flexibility or customization. I would like more customization options. 

Additionally, handling governance when there are many models and dashboards is complex. There is no way to organize assets by business unit, only a list with tags, which is not convenient.

I have used the solution for a little bit less than three years.

Stability is very important, and ThoughtSpot performs well. The upgrades are smooth with no downtime, which is super important.

I rate ThoughtSpot as eight out of ten in scalability. The platform does not have technical problems with scaling data or connections, but governance can become an issue with many dashboards or models.

The customer service and support are not good. I stopped opening tickets due to insufficient and untimely responses. The questions asked were often unrelated to the problem and not helpful.

Negative

Previously, I used Sisense and maintained both Sisense and ThoughtSpot. I did not switch, rather used them concurrently.

I was not part of the initial setup. My first time working with ThoughtSpot was complicated due to the TML feature and security rules, which were not intuitive.

We did not have a lot of users, so there was no significant revenue return. However, we saved time for some personnel due to the data warehouse setup.

ThoughtSpot is expensive. When compared with Tableau and Sisense, it is around seven or eight on the expense scale.

I was not involved in the decision-making process, however, two additional tools were evaluated before choosing ThoughtSpot.

My overall rating for ThoughtSpot is eight out of ten. 

I don't have specific advice or recommendations. It is one of many tools on the market.

I use ThoughtSpot as one of the visualization tools. I mainly create some live boards and provide access to the data sources and worksheets to users so they can create their own analyses and answers as required.

The tool is user-friendly for the end users. It is primarily a search-based tool. Users do not need a technical background to work directly on the dataset. 

Its compatibility with most databases, including the latest from FlexMovely and Redshift, allows users to create joins and worksheets easily. ThoughtSpot is fast, even with one to ten terabytes of data.

The visualization customization needs improvement. Currently, it is not as customizable as the options available on Power BI or Tableau. It mainly offers basic chart options.

I have been using it for more than four years now.

The stability of the product is really good. I use it primarily for large datasets, and it performs faster than regular data visualization tools such as Power BI, which has limits on dataset size.

The tool is flexible but not as advanced as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker, which have separate tools for preparation, customization, and storytelling.

The support team gets a six out of ten.They are not as proactive. The knowledge base for ThoughtSpot is less robust compared to others.

It's a great tool for analyzing large datasets. For someone new to ThoughtSpot, it is efficient for analysis tasks that involve large amounts of data.
