Enables management of multiple operating systems with a single license
The best feature is that it's a Microsoft product, so if anything goes wrong, we get quick support for anything required. Remote system functionality allows us to sit anywhere and take control of any device via remote management. We can enhance security for clients' laptops with built-in Microsoft Defender, which is available with the Microsoft Intune license. We use it for reporting purposes through endpoint analytics. When pushing scripting, there are two types available: remediation script and reservation script. Through endpoint analytics, you can push defender policies to clients. It helps with reporting, inventory updates, and monitoring tenant status health.

Good remote services feature and easy to setup
With LogMeIn Pro, we could connect up to 10 computers, and having an option for something in between would be good. Like, we went from 10 to the next level, which was around 50 or so. If there was a tier, perhaps around 20, that I would have probably purchased, and it would have been a better fit for what I needed.

Allows an ease of access to various systems and has a straightforward setup process
The product allows easy access to any system in case of any issues We cannot see the number of monitors working on the system simultaneously. It becomes complicated to switch from one monitor to another for different windows. The product's stability depends on the network's stability in our…

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Intune has significantly benefited our organization by providing comprehensive visibility into our device ecosystem."
"The synchronization of Intune with other Microsoft solutions is a valuable feature."
"The core management feature in Intune is invaluable to us, especially considering the challenges we often face with System Center when pushing external updates."
"I haven't used other mobile device management solutions, but compared to SCCM, we eliminate a lot of on-premises infrastructure and maintenance by using Intune."
"The most valuable feature of Microsoft Intune is patching-related capabilities."
"The most important thing for me is the autopilot feature."
"The standout features of Intune are its excellent mobile device management and highly effective application management capabilities."
"The most valuable feature is the policy CSPs."
"I can login to my office computer, go into all of my software, and work from a remote location."
"Scalability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten."
"I can copy information and put it into a presentation that I may be putting together at another location."
"They recently included the Kaspersky Security Suite as part of their Central Product."
"The ability to easily connect back and retrieve data from the computer systems that I have."
"I can use it for training, which I have done. As a person sits in front of the computer they can watch what I do, or I can watch what they do."
"It must have been straightforward. My IT person set it up for me. It is a friendly program."
"User interface."
"TeamViewer has been one of the easiest, right off the bat products, that we have employed at the college. We have had no issues. It's been one of the easiest solutions to pick up."
"Ease of use was the number-one thing. It's an industry leader for ease of use, specifically on the client-side, which is the absolutely critical thing. If I want to connect to somebody, how easily can I — without seeing their computer — walk them through the steps to install it to a point where I can key in the code and help them resolve their situation?... TeamViewer is just a dead-solid, easy answer."
"It was worth the investment. You can do file transfers and video calls with it. You can do a lot of copy paste stuff. E.g., if I have a file and want to place it on somebody's machine, I can just copy it off of mine and paste it right on their machine. I don't have to put it in a Dropbox account and have them log into it to pull it off. I can do all that right through TeamViewer. When you're looking at the TeamViewer screen, you think you are working on your own machine."
"This is a unique solution that is very easy to install."
"I like that it helped a lot, even with low bandwidth network connectivity. For example, while I was traveling, sometimes there were requirements for me to join a TeamViewer session and provide technical support. I was able to do that without much of an issue. It is also a secure solution."
"The most valuable feature of TeamViewer is the ability to remote into another device."
"The quality of the call and the quality of the sharing have been excellent."
"With an image, you can see immediately what's going on. You can run some tests. Without the solution, you need to do everything by telephone. It's not even thinkable."

Cons

"They can improve their MAM policies a little bit more and make them more granular. They should include more granular group policies. They are there, but they need to be more granular. Its stability should also be improved. It is not very stable. Sometimes, it shows some inconsistencies across tenants."
"I'd like some more reporting so that I don't have to delve into PowerShell and I can pull more of the local device information such as memory, apps installed, etc. It would be nice to be able to see the apps that are present there but might not be managed. For example, if they installed 7Zip, it could report that back via an installed program or feature to see what was currently installed."
"The policies we had in SCCM and AD offered features that are missing from Microsoft Intune."
"I rate Microsoft support between six to eight. The support often involves third parties hired by Microsoft who are knowledgeable, but sometimes the help I receive is not adequate."
"The solution needs to improve reporting. Sometimes, it shows double or triple entries of the same thing, which affects the count's accuracy. Also, some applications onboarded in Microsoft Intune do not get updated. When we look for solutions online, there is often no clear answer."
"We are currently unable to control aspects of group policy from Teams like we can for GPO. They are still not part of Intune. Microsoft is adding this, but it's currently in preview, and few GPO features have been added to the product."
"At the moment, we need more flexibility. We have some offices migrating to Windows 11 remotely. Sometimes, it is difficult to manage image installation because we have to collect some information before starting image deployment. Currently, Intune cannot collect the information needed for deploying new images."
"The technical support could be improved."
"Unfortunately, LogMeIn is a long ways from being perfect. It has a lot of really great features, though they don't always work well."
"At certain times of the day, during the "rush hour," it's very slow. I don't know if it's the latency of the internet or the amount of people on it in the afternoon at 4:00, 5:00pm. Getting data transferred takes a longer time than other times of the day."
"Remote Access for external and internal customers."
"The user interface needs improvement. Mostly, it's pretty intuitive for what I need to do, but the extra elements to it seem very complex, so I don't really try to even use those. For example, document sharing, file stuff. I can do the log-in part, but the additional features are kind of complex."
"Everything has to be done over the web, via email, or something like that. You can't talk to a human being. That bothers me a lot."
"It does go down sometimes. You try to login, it tells you the workdesk computer is not available. It does kick you off a lot."
"It would be helpful if there were more things that you could do outside of having to log into the machine, such as being able to raise a command line and reboot the computer if, for whatever reason, it doesn't want to let me in."
"Maybe they can come up with a plan if you only use it for login and, occasionally, printing. Maybe you can charge what you used to charge and then if we want to use it for files or things that are more sophisticated, charge a little more."
"They could give more information about using certain kinds of applications for secure transactions, such as secure file transfers."
"It would be useful if the solution could facilitate more than one remote user accessing my desktop at a time."
"The performance could always be better."
"It's not the program itself that's an issue, but there is a need for some better documentation on how to use the web portal Management Console. That seems to be a bit lacking in directions, if you aren't paying attention and you don't know what to do. Better documentation would make it a little bit easier to set things up in different groups and share groups between people."
"A feature that they could add is chat with sound to talk."
"TeamViewer could improve by adding support for other operating systems, such as Linux and CAKE."
"The file transfer functionality crashes sometimes."
"Some of the additional features, like the meeting stuff, is making it too cluttered."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"We use Defender ATP and E5 licenses."
"There is a license required to use the solution. If you're core users in Office 365, for example, you have Outlook email and E3 license, this is only email. You have to buy an EMS license to have Microsoft Intune. It is expensive."
"They have categorized the licenses according to the size of the business. So, if it's a smaller organization, we can choose the license accordingly. If it's a big organization, then we can choose accordingly. Everything is clearly mentioned, and we can decide. It's suitable for all kinds of infrastructure, and that's very goo"
"It is cheap, but as compared to Google, it is costly. Google is cheaper, but quality-wise, Microsoft Intune is better."
"The cost is somewhat on the higher side, particularly when considering certain price points, especially in markets like India."
"The tool is cheaper than our company's other MDM tools."
"It is expensive. The cost depends on the license that we choose."
"Based on the features that it gives, it is cost-efficient. It is not necessarily on the expensive side of the scale. It provides a hefty number of features that any organization would want. It is in a good price range."
"It is very good."
"The company does not scale the price based upon use."
"I am very happy to say that I have been very satisfied with the LogMeIn product, except for the escalation of the price. "
"We're paying $839 a year, so we're paying about $70 a month. We're using the smallest version of Pro."
"Pricing has been going up for just going back and forth between two computers. Last year I called and complained, they gave me a deal. This year, it's gone up to $350. I'm looking for a new source. It seems to be getting expensive for me to look back and forth. Come up with a different level of service for just communicating with two computers; I use it, maybe, five minutes a day."
"It is pricey. When they renew me, they always boost it up, I call them and they cut it back a little bit."
"The price point has gone up significantly. We used to have a lot of other customers. I used to sell it to other customer sites. But they've moved to TeamViewer, SiteSecure, and several others. There are four or five others that they went to because they're being more competitive on their pricing."
"It's pretty fair for up to five computers I think (it might be three - it's either three or five). After that, it gets a little expensive, so if they could get a little bit more aggressive on how many computers you can add in, that would be great."
"...it will cost you $1,500 to $1,600 a year, but when I think of how much work I do through TeamViewer..."
"TeamViewer has multiple licensing options."
"We are using the free version of TeamViewer."
"The cost is in the thousands of dollars per year."
"We are using the standard free version of TeamViewer."
"We use the free version of TeamViewer."
"TeamViewer was willing to give us a one-year package. Whereas, a lot of the other companies that we explored were paid by the month or quarter. It's just easier for our finance people at the college if we can make a one-time yearly payment."
"The price of the license could be less expensive."

Solid cross-platform remote control, but with kludgy central management and some serious feature issues on macOS
We use TeamViewer for support, controlling our ~2,500 end-user computers and our ~60 servers.  Our environment is primarily macOS, with about 95% of end-users on Macs, but our servers split between Windows and macOS.  We also have some digital signage devices that run Linux, and we use TeamViewer…
