We performed a comparison between IFS Cloud Platform and Oracle E-Business Suite based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two Field Service Management solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."IFS has been completely rebuilt, modernized, and cloud-based so we don't need bulky software installations."
"The workflow of the solution is very good."
"The most valuable features of IFS Applications are their intuitiveness and ease of use. The navigations are also straightforward, which makes it easy to train users. The feedback I always receive is that it is very user-friendly."
"The financial posting controls are quite handy. The user interface is really friendly, highly flexible, and pretty intuitive for end users."
"Individual user profiles that can be configured as templates to minimize data entry."
"The solution overall is very versatile and flexible, especially compared to other products."
"When it comes to financing, the solution has helped us to concentrate finance functions like accounting processes in one system. This includes about 70 internal entities around the world."
"The main reason for the ERP project was to bring together our fourteen sites, which had until then worked in separate silos."
"It can easily be developed into an application."
"It is a very consistent product on IBM. There is also a lot of knowledge data."
"This software scales very well across various implementations."
"Technical support is good."
"I like the automation and integration features of Oracle E-Business Suite."
"It's a scalable product."
"The most valuable features are straight-through processing because we need to make sure that we have a good end-to-end process."
"When correctly configured, this is a very stable solution. We have customers running their process automation manufacturing based off of this solution."
"The CRM was shaky and although this improves in Apps 10, there is room for improvement."
"The support provided by IFS Applications has room for improvement. I'm based in Poland, and when my company had an issue, finding people from IFS to give my company the support it needed was difficult."
"I'm a business analyst, so I do a lot of customer-facing work. I take calls from businesses I have to troubleshoot. One thing that bugs me is the error messages you get from IFS. If I get an error message, I have to dig to find the cause because, often, the error message doesn't precisely describe the problem. It'll hint about where the problem lies, but you have to work to find the root cause. It doesn't help in my situation. You expect an error message to point to the field or what is causing the issue."
"There are certain digital features that need to be incorporated, such as IOP."
"The integration is a bit complex, and post-implementation support services need to be improved. They have a service center based out of Sri Lanka. The support aspect is good, but the response time is a little slower than we anticipated. In the next release, it would be better if Warehouse Management could be improvised. They have a product line that's a data warehouse management system, but it's still premature and requires a bit of enhancement."
"I have seen that one of the areas that my company has identified for improvement might be the rental management capabilities within the solution."
"The solution needs to improve its documentation and user-friendliness."
"The next version has already been released, and some of the technical things are a little bit behind the curve in development. This is specifically security, maintenance, security role maintenance, and creation. This is in their new product, called IFS Cloud."
"Needs more real-time visualizations, in terms of smarter dashboards and reporting competing with the speed of HANA."
"Oracle has improved a lot because Oracle E-Business Suite is quite outdated. Oracle built the Oracle Fusion platform and it has many improved processes. We registered a few enhancements requests, but it's a very long bureaucratic process with Oracle. It doesn't make any sense to communicate with Oracle about what changes should be made to the system."
"The interface is pretty old."
"Pricing is the biggest disadvantage of Oracle."
"Movement to the cloud should be supported. Product support still needs to be improved."
"We would like to see some automation in this solution."
"The UI interface is not great."
"Oracle E-Business Suite uses an old technology (Forms), which is Java-based."
