Single item recovery has transformed mailbox backups and now provides faster, precise restores
Druva inSync can improve if we can integrate a chatbot. Instead of going through the portal, if there were a chatbot and we could restore mailboxes and groups by chatting with the chatbot, that would be an added feature. The restoration of notes is a limitation. Druva inSync is not capable of restoring notes. If users have something saved in notes, Druva inSync will not be able to restore it. If it could enhance the capability to restore notes, that would also be helpful. If it were to enable chatbot functionality and by just saying to the chatbot to restore a mailbox or restore an item to the mailbox, that would enhance productivity. There is some limitation of restoration for certain folders. If those could be fixed, it would be a perfect product.

Simplifies backup, restore, and clone management across disparate applications and infrastructures
It's a simple solution to use. It's simple to configure everything that you need — configure your backups. It gives you an option to backup to the cloud or backup to on-premise, or to backup to cloud storage. For example, if a customer is running on Azure NetApp files or on something cloud-based that they want to back up, they have the option of bringing their own licensing and cloud controls and NetApp will give them the storage to back up for as long as they want. When deleting backups, the controls are very intuitive so not just anyone can delete the backups, only the administrator is able to do that. Backing up and restoring is simple. It's easy. It's one click of a button. It's quite good, I like it.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Customers are very happy with this solution."
"The main benefit of this solution is that it automatically scans the files for ransomware after the backup is complete."
"All the data is well encrypted. In addition, the data is split into pieces so that if an endpoint is attacked or compromised with any kind of ransomware, the compromised machine can be relocated or restored. All the data that was previously backed up can be restored from the cloud. It has a lot of security features. Druva currently offers only the cloud version on AWS. Being a cloud solution, Druva goes by a lot of security compliances and provides a security portfolio. People are very skeptical of the data security in cloud solutions, and Druva has given consideration to that. It has some good geo-location features. If a machine is lost, when the machine is switched on and connected to the internet, that machine can be geo-located and tracked. It also has got the geo-wipeout feature. If someone tries to take out the data from a lost machine, they won't be able to do that. The moment an IT admin comes to know that the machine is no longer with a user, he or she can auto-run the geo-wipeout feature so that the data cannot be read by any third party. Duality replication is a unique thing about this solution. Everybody's data is not backed up if the data is common. Similar data is not backed up from other machines. The data backup also happens very smoothly. The bandwidth choking is very less. When the data is getting backed up, the users do not even get to know. There is no impact even when the users are not using high-speed bandwidth."
"It is simple to implement and use. It's very flexible."
"You don't need a certified administrator to manage this product."
"It's incredibly fast."
"Our customers do not need to purchase third party storage or a separate server for data backup."
"Druva allows us to be secure in knowing our clients are backed up."
"Over the time that we have used it, NetApp SaaS was a good solution and it performed well."
"The most valuable feature is stability."
"NetApp SaaS Backup is a good solution and I recommend it."
"It gives you an option to back up to the cloud or back up to on-premise, or to backup to cloud storage."
"It's a user-friendly solution."
"NetApp SaaS Backup is a good product that serves multiple purposes."
"The interface, customization, and security are superb."
"I would recommend it because it makes it simple to manage backups from Office 365."

Cons

"The current procedure for data encryption is not as straightforward"
"The user quota is an area that needs to be improved."
"The product needs to improve its support."
"Druva inSync is very high in price. A general customer cannot afford this solution. Even if the product is good, people cannot afford such a high cost just for taking the backup. This is a recurring investment, and the customers have to pay for it every year. Druva is also yet to develop the channel and the channel or partner commitment."
"The support of other cloud services needs to be improved. It has very good cloud support for AWS but not with others."
"Auto registration of non-domain machines is missing, as registration is a manual process of creating a key and adding it to the client."
"The speed could be better."
"The solution takes a lot of time during restoration."
"Better integration with third-party databases and applications is needed."
"There are several things that cannot be backed up as a full system, but rather only as a shared file. It isn't compatible with all applications and databases."
"For newcomers or people who have less experience, it's a complex solution that could be simplified somewhat."
"There are still a few things on SharePoint that they need to correct in terms of how they backup and restore."
"I would like to see the graphical user interface improved to include all of the functionality because there are some things that you need to use the command-line interface for."
"The features need to be updated to support the latest hardware, as it changes every year."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The pricing is thirty-five dollars per year or three dollars per month per user."
"It is an expensive product for the middle class or SMB customers in India. A lot of top-level big companies also cannot afford this solution. During the license period, one can download the entire data from the cloud without paying any additional cost. This way the data can be easily recreated from the stored data when a machine is lost or the data is compromised."
"The pricing is good."
"Once you decide to go with this product the cost can be worked out with the vendor."
"Out of all the solutions we evaluated, Druva inSync was the most affordable."
"It's approximately $4000.00 per user for one year."
"The product is fairly priced, I would rate its pricing five out of ten."
"The price is quite good, It's approximately $4000.00 per user for one year."
"My understanding of the costs is that the price is fair, and not too expensive."
"The licensing was based on a three-year subscription and the price is good compared so some other vendors."
"The pricing is more or less the same as what we'd get from Veeam on Office 365, so it's fine."
