Have improved workflow efficiency through custom reports but encountered formatting limitations
The downsides of Domo are that we don't have a feature in the same column. When data comes in a time format, text format, and number format, we cannot segregate and create conditional formatting in that column. If in the future they develop this feature, it will benefit more users. Domo requires maintenance on my end, such as updates. I am maintaining some dashboards on a weekly basis and monthly basis daily reports. Because we need to upload in SFTP, we cannot schedule or auto-schedule due to rate purposes. We manually handle the data sets. If there were an option to reduce the cost, it would be easier to access.

Excellent for budgeting and forecasting, but long-term it will no longer be developed or supported
The fact that in a few years' time it is no longer going to be supported is a big concern. Therefore, I would advise against Hubble. Additionally, I think we underestimated the time for deployment, we thought it would be a few months and it took much longer than expected because the consultants didn't understand our process in detail before committing to the process. On a scale of one to ten, I would give Hubble a seven.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"If I had to choose something of value, I suppose I would have to say it's the ease of making graphs."
"This solution allows us to change our performance metrics and tracks our goals in real-time."
"Over the last year we have saved about half of the amount of the subscription, it has reduced our costs more than we expected, it has saved us manpower, money, and made things more efficient."
"Domo's real-time insights and customizable alerts are one of their better features."
"The solution is highly stable."
"The ETL tools they have in Redshift are pretty awesome... I can work in Redshift to get the data from AWS and work in Redshift, in Domo, to create Transforms and the data structure we need..."
"The most valuable feature currently is the self-service BI availability in Domo. I would say the data file fabric solutions where the users themselves are responsible for generating their own reports."
"The flexibility and usability are probably the best features, and I really appreciate what they're doing now with workflow and AI agents, allowing users to build that kind of agentic flow where data analytics and traditional ETL can quickly and easily embed AI capabilities, which is extremely powerful."
"We have saved hours of Excel work producing the same results, which Hubble gives in minutes."
"Hubble will truly blow you away once you get to know the product and the people behind it."
"The most valuable features are both its budgeting and forecasting."
"Reporting was dramatically improved."
"Being able to create calculations, hierarchies, aging buckets, etc. has reduced the Excel reports we used to have."

Cons

"In terms of the analytics, there is quite a limited set of options when using Domo. Whereas with Tableau we can perform heavy statistical computations, Domo doesn't have that capability. Domo is quite limited on that side."
"More functions on the ETL side for the drag and drop ETL."
"One of the biggest problems is that end users require a license to run their own reports and dashboards, which are fairly expensive."
"Significantly negative. It is a very expensive product with a lot of problems and limitations. I would strongly advise anyone to avoid it."
"The UI has issues with some browsers and small glitches that hinder performance or functionality."
"They could use more charts. They have had a very limited number of charts we can use. I believe, now, there are somewhere around 30 of them, but they could definitely use some more options."
"I would also like to see improvements to their drag and drop Magic ETL tool. You can drag and drop your ETL tool, but it doesn't really work for a large amount of data. It struggles with that. In a real-world application, where you're working with 30 million rows or 100 million rows, it takes a bit longer to process the data. If you do it in the Redshift ETL tool, using your own code, it's much faster."
"It was zero. We paid for a year's contract and made no money from its use."
"When exporting to Excel, it is values only."
"The only thing I may add is that it can get a little pricey when you add annual maintenance."
"We have been advised by the owners that the budgeting tool is no longer going to be supported with future development, so my recommendation would be for them to continue to invest in development. Otherwise, at some point we will have to migrate to another technology."
"Exporting to Excel takes a lot of time when broken into sheets/files."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"I'm not sure about pricing, but I believe Domo is quite costly. Prior to joining this organization, I had a Domo license with my former employer and I think that license was around $500 to $600 annually. That was for a single license. I think it varies, depending on the organization that is acquiring Domo."
"We are making money from Domo, and all our clients are happy with the information that they receive from it."
"No matter if you're a developer or an end-user, the licensing cost is around $12 per user per month."
"I believe that the investment in Domo was worthwhile because it allowed for the organization to jump in quickly, with little training. There are different plans available based on the requirements."
"I think it is reasonable."
"Domo has more than one licensing model. You can choose between the yearly subscription and the per-user licensing model. The tool is flexible in terms of licensing. As for the cost, Domo is an end-to-end BI tool so its pricing is a little higher than other players in the market, for example, non end-to-end BI tools such as OBIEE and Tableau specific only for business intelligence and presenting data to the end users, unlike Domo which handles everything. You want to get Domo as an integration tool, an ETL tool, etc. As the tool is end-to-end, its cost is always going to be a little higher than other BI tools, but it's worth paying because you won't have to spend extra for other activities. After all, Domo can do those activities."
"For about 100 users our cost is $95,800."
"Domo is slightly costly but it's much cheaper than some."
