Has significantly improved document-driven workflows and reduced processing time across finance and HR functions
Automation Anywhere has evolved significantly and upgraded itself to provide agentic AI and AI-based automation solutions for document automation. The product has matured considerably over time. We can create workflows that can call an API. We can include prompts in particular workflows for ChatGPT-related functions, connecting to an LLM and RAG to perform tasks. For document automation, modern features are available to train documents, ensuring high accuracy and repeatability over time. The system is very easy to use. I recently completed a course in document automation, typically designed for people involved in coding and technical aspects. Though I understand coding comprehensively, I don't do actual coding. The course was very accessible. Currently, extensive coding isn't necessary due to the hybrid model incorporating GenAI aspects, low-code, no-code capabilities, APIs, and numerous pre-built objects in Automation Anywhere. The features include GenAI-driven prompting methods and workflow creation capabilities. In these workflows, we can create decision boxes and call APIs without coding. We simply pull objects, drop them, connect them, and add minimal coding when needed. The most crucial aspect isn't coding but rather sizing the automation and fleshing out the details. Automation Co-pilot takes notes and performs automated analysis. It can extract details from videos, summarize conversations, and provide detailed information. During calls, it identifies instructions and performs tasks such as preparing reports and reconciliation. Automation Anywhere can also connect with Microsoft Co-pilot. Through Co-pilot, real-time operations can be executed, allowing direct interaction between vendors and automation through this component.

Integrates well, highly stable, and scalable
CA Asset Portfolio Management can improve the uploading of batch information. I have to upload large amounts of information and it can take a long time to finish. There are some other solutions that are better, such as Micro Focus. We have approximately 10,000 PCs that we are busy processing and we have to upload information to them but when we use this solution it is complex. When we use Micro Focus it is better.

Significant asset management capabilities boost IT efficiency and support proactive monitoring
A positive aspect of Lansweeper is that they maintain a 30-minute recurring schedule with us for feedback. I have mentioned to the Lansweeper team that I would appreciate a clear separation between computers joined to our on-premise domain and those joined to the Microsoft Entra directory, as this distinction is currently difficult to make. In terms of reporting and knowledge, Lansweeper completely fulfills our needs. The software installation capability is being phased out as they now have the cloud version app, where this ability and Actions have been removed. My experience is primarily with Windows systems in Lansweeper, but it also supports Mac systems. We are currently adding Macs to scanning, though functionality is somewhat limited compared to Windows. It scans servers too, though this isn't the primary focus. Regarding network scanning, there are some security considerations due to specific service or port requirements on switches. For Windows needs in terms of asset management, report creation, and detailed information visibility, it is an excellent product. Building reports is straightforward, and while the database is quite extensive and may require research depending on needs, the information is readily available.

Quotes from Members

Pros

"One thing I appreciate about Automation Anywhere is that we do not need to run around with multiple platforms, because Automation Anywhere provides an end-to-end solution."
"The CyberArk integration and setup are really amazing and it helps us to win deals for new projects."
"It is easy and simple to use with its drag and drop functionality."
"This solution has gives us greater employee satisfaction because manual recurring work has been reduced."
"Automation Anywhere has benefited our company as we've been able to process thousands of transactions daily through various automations that distribute work, classify work, and handle claims, doing preliminary work for the finance team."
"We can integration with other APIs, which is a good thing. This helps us with our database integration. For example, we have done an SAP integration, which is great, since SAP has a lot of manual work."
"IQ Bot is very helpful as it is easy to learn and implement and the data output accuracy is almost 90%. Over time, the BOT learns from the validation which is an added advantage. Whatever I was thinking for version 11.3, it's being implemented in A2019. The incorporation of Python scripts is also implemented which will be easier for validations."
"We've delivered tremendous value in a really short amount of time and gotten a lot of support from our organization."
"IT asset manager simplifies the management and administration of the life cycle of IT assets thus lowering the capital and operational expenditure."
"The most valuable feature of CA Asset Portfolio Management is the full integration with our Service Desk, as it allows us to work both sides of life cycle management."
"Also, the software you have, you can monitor for end of life. If you have software that is end of life, then you can have it uninstalled and buy the new software, so you can make sure that you're not running into vulnerabilities with unsupported software in your environment."
"When we chose the CA product, it was the best product for all the tasks we had to do."
"Enables me to know where an asset is at any point during its lifecycle: How old it is, who it belongs to, and where it's at within that lifecycle."
"You could also look for software that is no longer being used and you can re-deploy the software, so then you save from a purchasing standpoint because you don't have to buy the software again."
"Reduces software cost. Reduces the risk of software audits."
"It enables us to make better business and financial decisions."
"The most valuable feature of Lansweeper is that it can gather all the devices online and offline and generate proper IT assets."
"The solution provides inventory information that is very important to our company."
"We've found the most value right now in the inventory of the equipment."
"The solution has an excellent health status feature and a user-friendly interface that contains all necessary information."
"For Windows needs in terms of asset management, report creation, and detailed information visibility, it is an excellent product."
"Lansweeper was hands down the best tool; it collects every last piece of information we wanted to know about our equipment and has strong reporting capabilities."
"For a small business that has an administrator or a couple of administrators that need tons of information in a central location, and that has some compliance people that have to run reports and are not necessarily power users, it is a great product."
"The solution is easy to deploy, easy to use, and scalable, whether for 1,000 devices or 1,000,000 devices."

Cons

"If the deployment is not right, you get the frustration, not the automation."
"I would like to see integration better integration with Excel and SAP."
"I would like to see more complex use cases coming out for our industry."
"Having some more pre-mapping and pre-setup analysis of what you're going to be doing with it would be helpful."
"MetaBots and Control Room may have some room for improvement."
"Sometimes I get challenges with the customer support team; when I contact them, they are sometimes busy, and I get delays in replies."
"IQ Bot is useful but the price is not friendly."
"Even though the product is easy to use, there are some challenges when we move across different environments; there's a lot of setup needed."
"It was much more complex than we were anticipating. Definitely a complex and very resource-involved setup."
"One additional improvement – the reporting aspect in SAM is poor; we need different reporting for different purposes – compliance reporting for executive management and the product teams."
"I'd like to see more mobile. I'd like to have it actually manage mobile devices. It really doesn't, and I'd like to have a mobile application just for asset management."
"Keeping the catalog updated and having more titles in the catalog is helpful, because the more items that are in the catalog, your process goes faster because you don't have to manually build all the entitlements."
"CA SAM is not a CA product. The vendor is Aspera and CA is the distributor, so support is difficult. It's more difficult to get a good response."
"Very complex to setup with Human Resource, help desk, procurement, and supply chain systems."
"Initially, each upgrade, the process for it was a little different. Having to go, this upgrade was going to be different from this one, going to be different from that one, that was a bit of a headache."
"As I'm looking into financial reporting and audits, new features to help with this would be good."
"The disadvantages in comparison to other products are in the ITSM part and the CMDB."
"In Vietnam, there's no Lansweeper office, making it difficult to find the right vendor to get the license."
"With Lansweeper, some areas can be improved, such as the interfaces and legacy user interface elements."
"The support experience hasn't been satisfactory. Establishing a direct connection with someone is challenging, as communication is limited to chat or forums through a web link. There's a lack of direct interaction with support personnel, making it difficult to have real-time conversations or seek immediate assistance, which is not ideal."
"Over the years, while we expanded from tracking around 5,000 to 6,000 computers, the licensing cost increased significantly, going from roughly $300 to about $2,500, which strained our budget as a non-profit healthcare organization."
"I don't have any complaints about it, and I've never really had any issues. It isn't wizard-driven or anything like that, but it doesn't need to be. For someone who is not familiar with system administration, it would be daunting. There would be a lot of info there. They wouldn't necessarily know what to do, but that's not its target audience. For its target audience, in particular, it doesn't need to change. It is really a good tool."
"We would greatly benefit from the ability to continue software installations and assistance with Windows updates, focusing more on action-oriented features."
"In Lansweeper, reporting has some glitches. Reporting needs to be more customized as per customer requirements."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The solution itself is free unless we want to add the support option but we have to pay for the bots we use."
"I've seen the price vary by whether the client is going to scale and adopt a tool."
"We are currently negotiating a contract. Depending upon that, we will definitely look at increasing usage."
"They're very flexible around pricing and licensing."
"I'm not sure what the monthly licensing cost is, as that is taken care of by another team, but I would say it's around $100,000."
"Initially, they charged a premium, but now the rest of the vendors have increased their overall pricing and Automation Anywhere is not that high at this time. It's pretty viable."
"If you look at the capital expenditure, Automation Anywhere is number two to UiPath. But if you take a long-term view, on a scalable model of a large number of bots coming out, it slowly goes on to become the costliest tool. There is something they can do about that. The capital expenditure goes out right at the point of buying the tool. For Automation Anywhere, I would need to spend $20,000. UiPath can give me something for $6,000, while Blue Prism will come in at $300,000."
"Automation Anywhere pricing and licensing are competitive compared to the other automation vendors."
Information not available
"It is not high and it is fair according to the worth it offers."
"On a scale from one to ten, where one is cheap, and ten is expensive, I rate Lansweeper's pricing a seven out of ten."
"The Lansweeper's price has increased and is now on par with or even higher than competitors, it still offers significant value in the area of IT asset management."
"It actually costs some money in the long run because of the licensing model."
"Its cost is terrific. It has a great price and is cost-effective, and the license is free under a hundred nodes. I like the fact that it gets regular updates. Of course, it notifies you of the product and you can patch it and all that, but I like the fact that it is very affordable for the number of nodes. A company with three or four computers doesn't need it, but a company that has dozens or hundreds has to have some kind of governance. It can do everything such as Windows, Linux, and network devices, and the discovery is really intelligent. For example, you'd find smart devices, IOTs, and things like that. I'm very happy with it."
