What is our primary use case?
My main use case for Microsoft Azure is that I use it for everything in my Microsoft ecosystem. I use Microsoft Azure as my cloud provider, cloud platform, and main cloud platform, and I host my services on it. I do everything from Microsoft Azure, including hosting my production applications, my environments, testing environments, and using all the services and databases. I have a lot of use cases from Microsoft as well.
I host most of the projects on Microsoft Azure. I run using Microsoft Azure VMs, Microsoft Azure Kubernetes services, Microsoft Azure PostgreSQL services and web service, and Microsoft Azure storage accounts and Microsoft Azure Entra IDs to connect and get the authentications. I host everything on Microsoft Azure, most of the projects.
Other than the fact that I host and store my backups, I use Microsoft services.
How has it helped my organization?
Microsoft Azure has positively impacted my organization because I was able to run my services with 99% uptime and databases that were also highly available. For that reason, I was able to grow my customer base by 20% with collaboration between teams and I was able to increase creativity and productivity between teams. It helped me in many ways.
In terms of how that growth impacted my business, I was able to generate revenue and I was able to increase my revenue by at least 20%. For the team size, I don't need that many resources to run these things because with the minimum resources, I was able to utilize my resources to run these Microsoft Azure services. The customers are also very much satisfied with the applications. The applications were hosted with not much downtime, and I was able to identify issues. These things helped me grow my business internally and externally as well.
What is most valuable?
In my opinion, the best features Microsoft Azure offers are the scalable solutions and serverless solution, Platform as a Service and Software as a Service. There are categorized services I can get. Based on my need, I can use and get most of those things.
Regarding Microsoft Azure's AI capabilities, I think the governance and security are fine and the AI is consistent and I was able to get reliable outputs. Governance and security-wise, I was also satisfied with the performance, encryption-wise and the data transmission, transparency-wise.
Regarding Microsoft Azure's AI capabilities, output-wise, the outputs are very much reliable, so I can depend on those things. There's nothing more to add and I am satisfied with the accuracy because it's more than 90% accuracy that I can find. That's fine for me.
What needs improvement?
For the improvement of Microsoft Azure, sometimes certain services take some time to get updated. If I could have the real-time updates of the services, it would be helpful. Sometimes when I'm interacting from the portal, I feel slowness from the UI perspective. If the interaction could be enabled a little bit for the UI, that could be very helpful.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Microsoft Azure for quite a long time, almost seven years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Microsoft Azure is stable.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Microsoft Azure's scalability is excellent as it supports all the scalable options. Based on the needs, I can set up my scalability things and I can use those options. I can scale the storage accounts and services. It supports everything.
How are customer service and support?
The customer support of Microsoft Azure is okay because they are not responding and I have to wait for some time. Since they are using AI agents everywhere, sometimes the responses are getting delayed. I have a mix of thoughts and a mix of responses with the Microsoft support.
On a scale of one to ten, I would rate the customer support as five.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
Previously, I used on-prem VMs and on-prem servers, and then I moved to Microsoft Azure cloud.
What was our ROI?
I was able to run those things with few employees at the minimum capacity with my current employees. I was able to save 20% of my annual budget that I was spending for resources. By reserving the resources, I get discounts. I had some benefits.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
In terms of pricing, setup cost, and licensing, Microsoft Azure has the pay-as-you-go solutions, and the setup cost is fine. I am happy with the pricing and setup cost. Based on the budget, I can select the category of the resources and I can deploy my resources.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
Before choosing Microsoft Azure, I evaluated AWS solutions.
What other advice do I have?
On a scale of one to ten, I would rate Microsoft Azure as seven.
I rate it as a seven because it has everything, every service is useful, and the UI is also nice. I can interact with those things and I can set up for Microsoft 365 and it supports the ecosystem with Microsoft. That's pretty useful for large enterprise solutions.
I deploy Microsoft Azure using public and private cloud most of the time.
For my public and private cloud deployments, I mostly use Microsoft Azure, and I use sometimes AWS for public cloud hosting.
My advice to others looking into using Microsoft Azure is that since Microsoft has pay-as-you-go solutions, if someone is a startup or something, they can start with those things and there are free options as well. Someone can try those things and later, when growing, they can reserve the resources and get discounts as well. I recommend exploring it and getting the things done.
Which deployment model are you using for this solution?
Hybrid Cloud
