We have a payment switch, so we handle many message protocols such as ISO 8583 and SOAP. Our focus isn't much on GUI testing. Mainly, we concentrate on the transactions going to the bank and back to the terminal, heavily utilizing the part of the system that requires a JBoss license.

One of the most valuable features I found in Parasoft SOAtest is its ability to extend the product. When we acquired it, we made some changes to files dealing with protocol structures and created cryptography tools for integration. Additionally, Parasoft SOAtest is very good at ensuring tests don't pass or fail until they genuinely pass or fail, as opposed to previous tools like Quick Test Pro. This ensures more accurate testing results.

We use Parasoft SOAtest for automotive compliance and sanity-checking scores.

Parasoft SOAtest allows you to do custom rule-checking and build waivers. Since the solution has both command line and automation options, it generates good reports.

We primarily use the solution for API testing for banking clients.

It is very easy to understand. 

We can do a lot with it. Since this is a commercial tool, we can have more functionality in place. 

It covers more things like ADI and APIs, et cetera. 

Everything is in one place, right there, so you don't need to go anywhere. With one single tool, you have everything you need. 

You can even test the UI as well.

The initial setup is very easy.

There is nice functionality under the Service Virtualization feature. 

The solution is stable.

Technical support is helpful.

This product easily scales.

Parasoft actually provides very extensive coverage. For example, in SAP applications, we have various EDIs, and integrated development. That also is supported by Parasoft. In the market, we don't have many of the tools there to test those things. It's nice to be able to with this product.

Our primary use case is for Driver and Firmware SQA. This is a pre-requirement for ASIL-certified SW component.

The tool is part of Automated Code Flow. It helps in SQA and Automotive Certification.

We are a large company based in India. The primary use case of this solution is for our REST architecture. Parasoft uses different languages like JSON, XML and SORBS. It's like an API testing tool and can be used for both automation and manual testing. We are customers of Parasoft and I'm a senior software engineer.

I like the write and read files which save execution inputs and outputs and can be stored in a local system. The solution also has a comparison feature that works well. Another good feature is the broad Rational Integration Tester and I like the API testing or microservice testing which is very cool. The solution has key store use for coding and decoding which is useful. You can also automate your request parameters in a broader view, which is great. You can take data from Excel, from tables, or from the database. 

The solution is primarily used by clients for testing, such as load testing. 

The interface is very good. 

The solution is scalable.

It can scale well.

You don't need too many staff members to set up the solution. 

We use a lot of tools from Parasoft toolset, but with SOAtest specifically, we use it for creating and running integration tests.

They have a feature where they can record traffic and create tests on the report traffic. That is one of the most valuable features that we've found. So we can run our UI automation tests and directly create services tests from that, which is really, really helpful.

The primary use case for adopting Parasoft SOAtest is to test web services/middleware testing (SOAP/REST/MQ/SAP RFC/EDI/FTP).

Parasoft SOAtest has improved the quality of our automated web services, which can be easily implemented through service chaining and service virtualization. 

The best feature to integrate with third party tools is the integrated plug and play without any rework, which makes it more valuable than any other tools. 

Parasoft SOAtest has more visibility in regards to testing support data and reporting mechanisms.

Through Parasoft SOATest, we can automate our scenarios in a data driven format, which shows there is no rework on scripts. We only need to update the test data and run for a number of scenarios.

Advantageous Points:

• Easy handling of RESTful APIs/SOAP calls.
• Getting the data on the API performance side, such as response time and segregation of failed API issues based on returning code captured by fault injections.
• Comparison of current responses with baseline response to figure out issues in case of failure with an exact location point.
