Provides unified access to multiple HR functions and reduces navigation effort
I am generally satisfied with the talent management capabilities in Oracle HCM Cloud, but as I mentioned, there are certain pages that really lag sometimes and there are a lot of bugs in talent management. Before, when it had a responsive UI, it was fine, but after it switched to Redwood, I feel there are bugs, and the functionality stated in the documents is not accurate. It takes some time to get that feature, and we need to raise product SR or ask in the community how it works. It's not easily understandable, especially in the talent management area. One potential area of improvement for Oracle HCM Cloud is that it lags. It takes time to reflect the pages, and the loading time now requires us to wait for the page to load. Earlier, we used to click and see the page immediately. However, now we need to wait for it to get loaded, which can be frustrating when working in a fast mode.

Reliable and loaded with features, but the UI is outdated
The entire UI/UX of the solution can be improved drastically. When I give a new employee, aged 19 and recently graduated, the solution, they are not enthused to use it on a daily basis. Ramco HCM looks outdated and is not as intuitive as it should be. I want to create an easier experience for new generations who come to work with me, with fewer scrolls, clicks, and pages to navigate. The optimization should be available with the minimum number of clicks. This is why I believe UI/UX is the most important element. I would love to see an intuitive web interface for the app, which would enable each user to easily manage and govern their data.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Oracle HCM Cloud is highly scalable."
"The solution has good integration with other applications."
"Absence management, self-release, self-service, and raising help desk issues are particularly valuable."
"Their technical support is okay; I don't have any problems with the Oracle support part, and they are of great help."
"It has good navigation, and it is user friendly and secure. Every three months, there is an upgrade, and it has new features."
"Pricing is competitive."
"This solution is very stable."
"In terms of ERP, it's a good product. It's convenient."
"Ramco HCM is a stable system that doesn't have downtime or fluctuation issues. It can also take large volumes and scale up very fast."
"If the implementation is without modification for any of the modules, it’s really simple using their QiK tool; the implementation takes around 2-3 months to go live."
"For anyone in the Middle East, I would strongly recommend this solution over SuccessFactors or Workday as the payroll feature is very much localized for the region and it supports all the business requirements without any additional modification."
"Once we implemented this solution, it was customizable for our needs and this has been the most valuable aspect of this solution."
"It is a good product, and it is suitable for different client requirements. It has customization options and flexibility. You can customize a report or configure the workflow based on your requirements. Everything is there in the product, and you can customize it as per your requirement. Our clients found the automation of the payroll, leave attendance, and onboarding modules the most valuable. The Time and Attendance module is fully integrated with this solution and supports multiple data entry modes, such as barcode, biometric device, fingerprints, and face reading. Its core HR module includes features like movement, expense management, exit, and separation. The compensation and benefits module includes features like welfare, retirement, and superannuation. It also has analytical tools. You can create a real-time report based on your requirements. You can also publish that report in different formats, such as Excel, PDF, HTML, etc. It has a chatbot feature, which is using machine learning and natural language. You can ask questions about your leave balance, attendance, or things like that, and you will get an immediate reply from the chatbot. It also supports approval through email."
"The performance management system is really good."
"It is a time-saving solution, saving a lot of time for our clients by eliminating manual errors in salary calculations and removing the need for a help desk team through its chatbot that instantly handles employee queries about payslips, leave balance, and holidays."
"Ramco is user-friendly. The UA is excellent and so easy to use that a customer can easily understand the process with zero knowledge of the system. We can easily walk a new user through the user guide. For each ESS MSS, I can log in to the ESS access. and documentation is available."

Cons

"From the feedback that I get, the functional side of the payroll could be improved."
"Sometimes implementation documentation is a bit behind."
"Once we are done working on a template, we can't change it unless we create a new one."
"There should be more digital assistance included, like chatbots."
"I think they should have a larger data center in China, which would significantly increase the access speed from my current workspace."
"Oracle HCM Cloud could improve by adding AI and more offline capabilities."
"I think I'd like to see Oracle focus on the key components of the system rather than perhaps some of the more fluffy areas that not everyone is going to use."
"The product needs to keep improving the integration tools and the tools to load the data - that whole mechanism - in order to allow for flexibility in the configuration."
"One area for improvement in Ramco HCM is its UI, which could be more intuitive. Another area for improvement in the system is that it can be challenging to make some modular-based changes to it."
"The one area where I would like to see some improvement would be the mobile app and web page user experience which could be more user friendly."
"They can improve the configuration time because it takes more time than other products to configure the system."
"The entire UI/UX of the solution can be improved drastically."
"There were so many bugs in the older releases."
"It can improve on the Comp Off and On Duty leave management process and can include real time Google Maps instead of geo-tagging to track the real location of employees."
"I would like to see the flexibility to create reports suitable to the company because the standard reports from Ramco are so conservative."
"They can improve the configuration time because it takes more time than other products to configure the system. It could be because they are managing this single product for all countries, but it would be good if they improve the implementation time because we need to implement the solutions within a timeline. They should provide some kind of auto-configuration so that the system can be configured and implemented within a certain timeline. Implementors should have a provision to configure the system in a short time. There should also be an option to move the setup or configuration from staging to production to save time. These types of automation should be there."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"I don't know how much it costs, but I know that everything is included. We don't pay anything extra apart from the licensing fee."
"Licensing fees are on a yearly basis."
"The product could be more affordable."
"On an annual basis, we pay about $25,000 for our company. This includes the VAT, support, upgrades and everything else."
"On average, it's not a cheap solution."
"There is a license required for the use of this solution and we are on an annual license."
"I rate the product's pricing a seven out of ten."
"Oracle HCM Cloud is pricey, but price-wise, it's now more competitive than in the past year. Here in Central Europe, people also look at the pricing, but Central Europe falls under the UAE and Abu Dhabi in terms of headquarters, management, and strategy, but those states don't care too much about the pricing. Pricing is a significant factor in choosing a solution. In the past, Oracle HCM Cloud was compared to the SAP solution, the largest competitor and up to thirty percent higher in price. Now, Oracle HCM Cloud has a price increase of five to ten percent, which could be pricier than SAP now, but it's a more competitive product nowadays and comparable to SAP."
"This solution is priced in the middle compared to other solutions on the market."
"I am not aware of the price because I was working in the implementation team, but pricing is generally based on the requirement, modules, headcount, and country."
"Their customized solution is pretty expensive but much cheaper than its competitors."
