Better support and more accessible resources are crucial. Customers have expressed that support is not as flexible, and it is difficult to obtain necessary information quickly. Customers would benefit from improved training material for integration with other products. The solution's pricing is high and needs to be reconsidered, and the technical support should improve to provide more accessible and open information.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Centerity is much more than a monitoring tool — it’s a unified, end-to-end, enterprise-class and multi-tenanted AIOps Platform that is purpose-built to help MSPs and data-centers deliver the highest levels of up-time and performance."
"The machine learning feature is valuable."
"The Centerity gives us exactly what we need from performance system monitoring."
"The second major feature is the user-friendly interface; it's the best feature for our customers, because we are the implementers of the software."
"We now use only one console to monitor all servers, the database and the network, allowing us to consolidate four previous tools (BMC, HP, SolarWinds, Nagios)."
"Basically, the most valuable feature for us is that the dashboard is easy to use as it aggregates all data."
"DX Unified Infrastructure Management offers visibility into network activities, integration capacity, and enhances monitoring at the core and application levels."
"The product is one of the best in the market, and even more, it's better when you start talking about the enterprise level because of its great scalability, but this product is simple enough to be used by small-to-medium and medium-to-big companies."
"UIM met everything we needed and more when you consider other areas and departments with whom we work closely."
"As a simple solution for monitoring it's pretty handy, simple to use, very customizable, and integrates with Salesforce."
"Optimizes delivery of managed IT services with CA Nimsoft Monitor."

Cons

"They can improve the functionality that provides some numbers related to the behavior of the metrics."
"One of the major improvements should be it implementation as a SaaS"
"The GUI must be improved. Graphs must be changed including high level maps"
"I'm very happy with DX Unified Infrastructure Management, but what could be improved is its user interface because currently, it has many wide spaces. All the information you need is in DX Unified Infrastructure Management, and it's a reliable tool, and though that's more important than the gaps in the user interface being smaller or wider, those gaps still need some improvement. I know the team is working on it. My company had some backend problems with DX Unified Infrastructure Management in the past that have now been solved. The setup for the tool also needs improvement because it's complex. Another room for improvement in DX Unified Infrastructure Management is its technical support because it's sometimes not as knowledgeable or responsive. What I'm suggesting to be added to the tool is an open-standard ELK Elastic-based database where you can put in all data, so that you can use the data in other systems as well."
"Support SLA for response and resolution is pathetic, even the quality of resolution is not up to the level of expectations."
"Open source and acquired components are often bolted on and integrated poorly."
"Although the products is easy to deploy, the implementation effort is still inconsistent."
"UIM supports AS400, but it is somewhat limited."
"They should further test their probe development. If we add a probe to pick out certain metrics from a particular platform, it’s not easy and there are some issues."
"The UIM product is playing catch-up. They are not there yet to do a lot of the next-level things that we need them to do."
"The NAS probe has a performance issue. When there is huge number of incoming events, NAS fails to process them."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"CAD $400,000 annually."
"Reasonable setup cost and licensing prices."
"The product-price ratio is better than other brands such as Fortinet or SonicWall."
"This product is expensive compared to other vendors (SolarWinds, ManageEngine)."
"The license cost depends on the number of probes and robots."
"Pricing for DX Unified Infrastructure Management isn't cheap at all. It's a complex tool, so you have to pay more. No one is happy with a large bill to pay, but if it's a complex product and you designed a complex solution to be monitored, it'll be your fault that you need to buy an expensive product, and that would be implicit in the design of DX Unified Infrastructure Management. Monitoring is just a small part of it. Sometimes you have to pay a significant amount of money for a complex yet very good solution."
