Shared storage capabilities provide enterprise value with good reliability
Amazon FSx is more costly compared to other storage solutions like EBS or EFS. The auto-scaling feature should be improved, as it currently includes downtime. I need to manually increase the storage, which is not ideal. Integrating FSx with Windows Server is challenging; it's a long process involving Active Directory (AD) setup and synchronization.

Offers the most simplest and easiest UI to use
I would not like many changes in the tool, but I think the 15 GB space provided by Google Drive Enterprise needs to be increased to around 25 five GB, as it would be really helpful for users. These days, the resolution of pictures and everything else has been increased. If you take a picture from an iPhone, it could easily be of around seven to eight GB. Photos are memories that one would want to keep or store properly. I believe that it is not possible to save a lot of photos in Google Drive Enterprise since it only provides 15 GB to users. The product does not offer a bit more storage space for users, which makes it an area that needs to be considered for improvement.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"We used it for disaster recovery perspective behind a number of resources, like batch services and RDS."
"The shared storage capability is highly valuable."
"FSx operates as an independent service, not tied to any server, which eliminates dependencies between applications for storage."
"I rate the stability of Amazon FSx ten out of ten."
"Some of the most useful features of Google Drive Enterprise is the ability to store my data and share it."
"Google autosaves your work, which means you won't lose things."
"It is a stable solution, and I have never faced any issues with the product...It is a scalable solution since one can get as much as one needs from the product."
"It allows multiple users to work simultaneously on a document."
"It is very convenient and easy to access."
"With Google Drive Enterprise, multiple people can edit a document, and you can open it as Google Docs."
"Google Drive Enterprise provides convenience to its users. Also, it provides its users the option to easily share and collaborate."
"The most valuable feature is the ability to share files."

Cons

"Amazon FSx is more costly compared to other storage solutions like EBS or EFS."
"A direct FTP feature would be beneficial instead of relying on transmission services."
"I've been facing a challenge when doing a failover from FSx side. AWS console does not refresh within a half hour."
"Amazon FSx is more costly compared to other storage solutions like EBS or EFS."
"The tool must allow more customization."
"I had some issues with permissions at first. I have to ask for Drive permissions because I'm a new doctoral student. Sometimes I have to ask for permission because I can't access this kind of document, but recently they fixed that by adding me to their team. Now I can access any document that my department supervisors and staff share on Drive."
"The product must provide more storage space."
"The search function in Google Drive Enterprise could be improved as it currently requires looking through many documents to find the right one."
"The price of additional storage could be reduced. I have an annual subscription and I'm only using 150GB because of the price."
"The ability to share documents with outside clients can be improved. It is difficult to share documents with outside clients, and that's why I am looking at some other solution. If you use Google Drive, they want you to use all of their Google Suite, but not everybody uses Google Suite for document creation. It is not a great solution if you are working with a company that doesn't use Google Suite."
"The price could be better. Google should rethink and realign its pricing strategy along with the storage prices because storage prices are going down for on-premise solutions. If they can reduce the cost or increase the storage capacity for that same tier, that would be a great advantage."
"The free storage amount should improve in Google Drive Enterprise. They only provide a small amount of storage."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The lowest price I have paid is $370 or $380 per month, while the highest can exceed $3,000 per month."
"I am using the free version."
"The solution has a subscription-based license."
"The product is available for free, so I don't need to pay for it."
"The program is very affordable."
"The price could be better."
"On a scale from one to ten, where one is cheap and ten is expensive, I rate the solution's pricing a nine out of ten."
"The costs could be lower, but they are reasonable for the value they provide."
"It is inexpensive and the cost is per user per month."
