We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The most valuable features of the product for me are its backup and recovery functionalities.""Performance-wise, it works efficiently for backup and recovery compared to other tools.""One key feature is it encrypts your data at rest which is really good.""The backup and recovery options work flawlessly.""Acronis Disaster Recovery has good scalability.""Patch management, backup, and disaster recovery have been the solution's most valuable features for our data protection strategy.""Our customers use Acronis Disaster Recovery for data backup.""The solution can be improved by including a load balancer."

"Restoring is very fast. In testing, I did a restore for a single item from a mailbox. Within a minute, I had the message back in my mailbox. So, it didn't take hours or days. Obviously, there will be a limit. If we suddenly go into DR and have to restore five terabytes of emails for people, then it will take a couple of days, which would be acceptable. For general usage, where we have to do the odd restore, we have never had issues. It happens within minutes.""I'm a big fan of the reporting. You can build your own reports; it's very customizable. You can have individual reports going to groups of people or individuals. You can have them go out multiple times a day. It's basically a free-for-all as far as reporting goes. If anybody wants a specific job report every day, you can build it, schedule it, and have it go out and never touched it again. It's pretty nice.""One of the most valuable features is the encryption which helps save you from ransomware. Because the data is already encrypted, it cannot be encrypted again.""IntelliSnap for snapshot collection is one of the most efficient and easiest ways to back up large amounts of data.""We now have the capability to recover a virtual machine without relying on the NFS system, but instead are able to use certain features provided by Commvault.""What is most valuable to me are the search features, where you can search through large backup data sets and find what you're looking for. Our data sets are so big that we're over the petabyte mark. To find a specific file for a specific user out of 10,000 users is a challenge... If we can glean from them a general description of where it might be, the search feature comes in very handy to actually locate it and restore it for them.""The product is a reliable solution.""Commvault provides the status of a backup or restore operation."

Cons
"The documentation can be improved, this would have helped.""I wish the Disaster Recovery system could do more, like integrating irregularity features and combining VLP functionalities.""The cost is acceptable.""In the future, I would like to see cross-platform support.""The solution covers specific versions of Windows and Linux, and it would be good if other Linux versions or some special appliances could work in the Acronis Disaster Recovery environment.""They could provide pricing models considering the requirements of various countries and organizations.""Acronis Disaster Recovery should provide software information wherein I can change my setup to collect more information.""The product should improve compute points."

More Acronis Disaster Recovery Cons →

"What I need is deeper CLI documentation for both QCommand and SQL queries.""The solution must provide deception files across the network.""Commvault HyperScale X could improve by allowing backups of the storage area network (SAN).""The initial setup was complex.""Commvault is complex even if the product has comprehensive solutions and covers pretty much every technology out there. There's no unified way to manage all of the products on one single console.""My customers are not satisfied with the tool because there is a little trouble with the throughput of Metallic.""Commvault could benefit from increased automation to streamline processes and enhance predictability.""Just to keep it running is time-consuming. There are five people on my team. Commvault was supposed to be one of the less time-consuming solutions, but in reality it takes 60 percent of our time just to keep it running, and that's not even fine-tuning it; that's just to keep it running."
