Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The licensing model is very good.""It's always stable. It's very good, useful, and user-friendly.""One of the most valuable features of Acronis is its AnyData Engine which allows any device to connect to any other device for the purpose of data restoration.""The administration is pretty flexible in terms of defining a multi-tenant type of setup.""In my opinion, it's the best product for end-users and PCs.""It's a good solution that's very easy to use. Acronis has two valuable features. The first one is creating images, and the other is starting virtual machines in the cloud so the client can work immediately.""The interface is easy to use. They keep on adding new features. Acronis recently added multi-platform support.""The most valuable feature is the extra protection, especially for the backup."

"The solution provides good backup services for Microsoft 365.""The product offers good stability.""The installation process is very easy.""The most valuable aspect of Veeam is its stability.""We are able to store it on various cloud providers such as Amazon S3, Rocket, Azure, and IBM Cloud. It can also do on-premise integration, and we are able to use storage from on-premise. We are also able to recover data. It is a really good and intuitive solution. Veeam has developed a fantastic product. I've never seen anything that I don't like about Veeam. It looks like a very complete solution. It is really mature, simple to use, and quite interrogative. It also has APIs for writing scripts.""The solution is easy to use and stable and can be made to fit one's needs.""The feature that I like the most is the system backup recovery from OneDrive.""I want an additional copy of my data in the Office cloud and it works."

Cons
"Acronis has some limitations on the cloud side.""The backing up of virtual machines in VMware and Nutanix needs better integration and the performance of the solution needs improvement.""There are some limitations to the backup.""The solution could be better if some of the features were more in-depth.""The solution could improve by providing more database backup features and have better integration with many different types of databases. We cannot implement it in all of our infrastructures.""A little bit more integration would be good. It should support broader platforms.""They've got an agent to back up Microsoft SQL, to our Office 365, but there is not an agent to back up my SQL databases.""I would like to have more hardware space. It would make it better. I would like to have two more terabytes."

More Acronis Backup Cons →

"We have found that there is a limitation in this solution where it only takes the backup of users who are using Office 365 Enterprise email IDs. We have many users in management and approximately 50 other users who are using Office 365 of which Veeam is able to capture the backup. However, for the other users who are on the local email server at that time, the solution is not able to capture the backup.""This solution does provide the option to choose a different target of storage.""Its price could be improved.""The pricing model is unnecessarily confusing and could be simplified.""Some additional training materials would be helpful.""The solution could offer better reporting.""The license pricing can be reduced.""When you add a new site for backup, it gives you a notice that there is a new site, but the way you select that and configure that could be slightly better. It works, but it is not always very clear. For example, for the URL, you need to hover over the title or the name of the site. You should see it immediately on the screen. It should have a better user interface for selecting what you want to back up so that you get a more clear overview of the sites that are there and the ones that you want to combine in a backup. Its user interface should be more user-friendly. It has a lot of scrolling and doesn't give you a complete overview when needed. That's the main thing why it is not very user-friendly. It should have a better user interface."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "The pricing is comparable to the newest solution available on the market, Altaro."
  • "The cost of updates is less than $100 USD yearly."
  • "It is very cost-effective for the SMB segment, especially for start-ups and smaller environments. It is cost-effective for on-premises and on-cloud deployments in such environments."
  • "This is an affordable product and fits within our customers' budgets."
  • "Licensing fees are billed annually and there are no extra charges."
  • "The price of the solution is expensive and could be reduced a little."
  • "You pay for what you use in the cloud. If you don't start the virtual machine in the cloud, you only pay for the information stored there. But when you start the virtual machine, another pricing model is activated."
  • "We have a Cyber Cloud backup license and we have on-premises storage. Both can be useful for our customers."
  • More Acronis Backup Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "The pricing model makes this solution more expensive than it needs to be."
  • "This is not a stand-alone product and requires a standard Veeam license for your organization in addition to the cost of the solution."
  • "We looked at a few cloud options. When we did the comparison, we found it to be a cost-effective solution, and it included everything."
  • "The licensing price is quite high. It's expensive."
  • "We decided on Altaro because, from the point of view of the total cost, Altaro looks cheaper than Veeam. Veeam has a lot of costs that are not clear when you start it, which makes it less flexible than Altaro, but only after half a year, you can be really sure that you made a good decision."
  • "Its price is a little bit high, but it is a fantastic solution. It is more expensive than NetApp."
  • "I have a per-user license for the number of users and the mailboxes that I have."
  • "There is a license required for this solution and we pay annually."
