Flexible, good data protection, responsive and knowledgeable technical support
They definitely need to improve their reporting. Their dashboard is good. It can always be improved, but for now, it's really simple: you see what works and what doesn't. However, once you get into the enterprise space, you want to make sure that your dashboard has additional, reporting possibilities. You will want more customization and more options available. Because if you move into the enterprise-class space in the financial industry, they will want to know regulations, where the data is held, and how long the retention periods are by marketing group and per type of data. You want to have hooks into the data types, which Keepit doesn't have now, but I'm sure it will soon.

Backup has protected our office data and now restores individual emails while admins configure settings
Although Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft 365 is a Backup as a Service, it should give slight leverage to the admins to do more of their own configurations. When it comes to Software as a Service, we do need to agree on certain things, as we do not have much control over the software. If Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft 365 can improve, it would be better. It could be slightly better, but it is acceptable. As long as support is provided in a timely manner, it is good. I cannot tell it is fully bad or fully good. If I were to give a rating of one to five, I might give 3.5 to four. Rather than giving a help database, which is an ocean of information to search through ourselves, we should be able to open a ticket and have them guide us on how to do it. As an end-user, different levels of admins exist—a fresh admin and a more experienced admin. They need to encourage us to open a ticket quickly, and from there they should guide us straightforwardly with the steps to follow to achieve the desired outcome.

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The most valuable feature of this solution is definitely its pricing point."
"The most valuable feature of this solution is definitely its pricing point. Invoicing is simple. It is one price that includes both licensing and retention requirements, which is rare in today's market. That, I believe, is a significant differentiation for them."
"Veaam technical support, from my perspective, is one of the best technical support I've ever engaged with."
"The scalability is good."
"The setup is very simple. It takes 15 minutes."
"The solution provides good backup services for Microsoft 365."
"I want an additional copy of my data in the Office cloud and it works."
"The customer service and support team are good."
"At the moment I think we have all we need for backing up our Office 365 emails reliably, we have a solid solution with this product so I don't see any reason it would have to change."
"Technical support in Veeam is good; if you face any issues, the response times are good and the engineers' quality is also good, most of the time."

Cons

"They definitely need to improve their reporting."
"They definitely need to improve their reporting."
"It's a new product. It's not mature."
"Its price is a little bit high, but it is a fantastic solution."
"The pricing model is unnecessarily confusing and could be simplified."
"When using Veeam Backup for Office 365 when there is a server that's running, I have to have a hard drive installed on it. For example, if I want to use another storage solution, I can't incorporate it very well. If I want to use SMB or other protocols I cannot use them with the Veeam Backup for Office 365. They have the support in the other Veeam Backup and Restore solutions, but it doesn't support it in this solution. Hopefully, in the future, they figured it out."
"Pricing is an area for improvement, and I would rate it at five out of ten."
"The solution could improve by having the ability to back up without an agent installed on the system."
"The solution is costly."
"Veeam Backup for Office 365 can improve by reducing the time it takes for backups. I have mentioned this to Veeam and hopefully, in the next version, it will be a faster backup."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"I believe the MSRP is around $5 or $6 USD per person, per month, and per seat."
"It is not the cheapest solution in the market."
"There is a license required for this solution and we pay annually."
"The solution is not expensive."
"The licensing price is quite high. It's expensive."
"Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 is expensive, and I rate it an eight out of ten."
"We are talking about a third party solution, so there is a licensing fee."
"I think it's a fair price. It's around $36 per user, so I think it's a fair price for our customers."
"The cost is a bit on the high side."
