Backup has become straightforward for our clients but deployment insights are still limited
Azure is quite a broad topic, so it is really difficult to give a straightforward answer to that question. Easy deployment for easy configurations is straightforward, but you can make it as difficult and complex as you can within Azure. It also depends on the actual environment. In most cases that we are involved in, it is between two and five people.I am overall satisfied with the pricing and licensing policy of AvePoint, as pricing compared to other products is competitive. I would rate this review as a seven.

Backup has protected our office data and now restores individual emails while admins configure settings
Although Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft 365 is a Backup as a Service, it should give slight leverage to the admins to do more of their own configurations. When it comes to Software as a Service, we do need to agree on certain things, as we do not have much control over the software. If Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft 365 can improve, it would be better. It could be slightly better, but it is acceptable. As long as support is provided in a timely manner, it is good. I cannot tell it is fully bad or fully good. If I were to give a rating of one to five, I might give 3.5 to four. Rather than giving a help database, which is an ocean of information to search through ourselves, we should be able to open a ticket and have them guide us on how to do it. As an end-user, different levels of admins exist—a fresh admin and a more experienced admin. They need to encourage us to open a ticket quickly, and from there they should guide us straightforwardly with the steps to follow to achieve the desired outcome.

"The product's initial setup phase was super easy."
"The most promising feature of the product is data security policies, which make it simpler to include compliance processes."
"It is the only product in the market that offers platform backup."
"It works well for our backup needs, and I would recommend it for Microsoft 365 due to its reliability."
"For data security, we rely on Veeam Backup for Teams and it is quite effective."
"This covers the areas of backing up Office 365 that Microsoft does not include in its standard routine."
"Overall, it's a very good product."
"I am very happy with Veeam's support; they are good and very responsive."
"The solution is also easy to manage and work with."
"The program has been working really well for us."
"The ease of use is great and the integrations with the storage vendors are useful, with snapshot capabilities and similar features, and the setup was straightforward, making it a stable solution with great scalability."

Cons

"It is not a traditional restore process and it is somewhat limited in what we can do."
"AvePoint Cloud Backup's pricing could be lower and more flexible. Particularly, when dealing with smaller customers or more minor businesses, obtaining competitive pricing for bundles rather than on a one-by-one basis remains challenging."
"It would be beneficial to have a more optimal Google Backup for larger environments."
"The restoration could be faster."
"The component in the product that can be improved revolves around the area where the tool should focus on providing more of a custom touch to the policies."
"The configuration could be made easier."
"For improvement, AvePoint can provide details on how the tool's backup scope works."
"It is challenging for small or medium-sized businesses to purchase it."
"The pricing model is unnecessarily confusing and could be simplified."
"In some instances, a customer is not necessarily backing up Microsoft 365. For instance, they might be backing up a large Oracle database. It would be nice if they could tweak it to compress the file, so it's easier to transfer a huge file."
"This solution does provide the option to choose a different target of storage."
"Pricing could be more affordable."
"It's a new product. It's not mature."
"While there really is nothing wrong with the product some small improvements in the interface could make it even easier to use."
"I'm very satisfied with Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 and would continue using it if it were up to me. However, my management is considering alternative solutions due to issues with our storage solutions."
"Some additional training materials would be helpful."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The pricing part of the solution is based on a subscription model, which is based on the number of users or storage capacity."
"It is very good for many of my customers in the banking and finance segments. The price isn't a problem there, but in some other industries, people ask for a cheaper solution. When the price is an issue for the customer, we recommend Veeam, Metallic."
"The platform is more expensive than other vendors."
"I rate the product's price a nine on a scale of one to ten, where one is cheap and ten is expensive."
"It costs a little bit more than other competitors in the market."
"I would say that the pricing policy of the product is flexible and good."
"I am not sure, but I believe that the cost is $7 USD per user."
"There is a license required for this solution and we pay annually."
"From our perspective in South Africa, our biggest challenge is the exchange rate from the South African currency to the US dollar. This makes it a bit pricey for us. However, compared to other backup solutions available, I would rate the pricing at a nine out of ten. For the servers, features, and functionality you get, it's worth the money. Of course, we'd always prefer things to be cheaper, but we also understand that you have to pay for proper functionality. So overall, it's not badly priced at all."
"I have a per-user license for the number of users and the mailboxes that I have."
"Veeam Backup for Office 365 is a low-priced solution, so it is scalable and is priced for the market, comparable to other solutions."
"For the number of users and amount of storage you receive, it is not expensive."
"The pricing model makes this solution more expensive than it needs to be."
"We looked at a few cloud options. When we did the comparison, we found it to be a cost-effective solution, and it included everything."
"Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 is expensive, and I rate it an eight out of ten."
