Helps us to do spreadsheet reports on sales and quotations and provides donor reports for projects
The solution's initial setup is straightforward. The solution's deployment took three months. A business certification is needed and then the setup is possible. After that, there are months of follow-up. The full consolidation took around us three months. That happens in parallel to Microsoft training. The transition and complete deployment took six months and touching base with each unit was needed. We have seven modules deployed for the ERP. Seven people are needed for the testing and sign-off. But then, on the technical side, an email addressing the database administrator and the product owner is needed. The maintenance requirements are taken care of by the vendor. I rate the initial setup a seven out of ten.

Implementation simplifies ERP management with comprehensive data integration and visibility
A lot of people would say the pricing. SAP is seen as quite expensive even now. It doesn't work for smaller or medium optimizations. The licensing and pricing could be looked at. In Brownfield migration, the trade-off between greenfield and brownfield means you either keep it clean or match the business requirements. Sometimes, it's not possible to do both. While ValixAPI provides significant support in making those decisions and the SAP consultant is very useful, we are still dependent on past history and how it was originally set up. I wouldn't call that a real disadvantage, yet more accessible consulting would be beneficial. Incorporating all other cloud products, like APO or IPP, into the S/4 house might also help.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"I have found the solution has many valuable features such as a user-friendly mobile platform, notification settings, and the ability to do many customizations."
"The three most crucial pieces are the financial modules, the banking module, and the management module."
"The tool's usability is straightforward."
"I have found the most valuable feature to be the SAP Fiori application."
"The integration is quick to implement and very user-friendly."
"It is more or less a very, very smooth and seamless product. Day by day they are increasing their technology features and they are keen to resolve the issues. India has a complex business scenario and SAP is thinking about that and resolving the issues day by day."
"SAP has many functionalities and a high level of detail so that you can manage all processes in detail without any issues."
"It is really fast. It is also very stable."
"The speed of executing reports has increased significantly. We no longer need day-minus-one business processing."
"One of the most valuable features, which we used the most, was the FI module, for finance. It involved controlling, account receivables, account payables, and complete financial steering."
"It is a stable solution."

Cons

"The reporting Module should be improved and a drag and drop functionality should be added."
"Improvements could be made regarding user-friendliness and transitioning fully to a web version. Features like forex reconciliation and a cash flow planning module could enhance the solution."
"The build-in dashboard and reporting customization should be improved."
"SAP S4HANA is not suitable for all-size companies. If you have a small company there are better fit solutions for your needs."
"The problem with the tool is that its complexity is very high."
"The common issues being raised right now by the end users are mostly related to the usability."
"The tool needs to improve its interface and functionalities."
"Lacks ability to easily mass upload which has become a necessity for industry."
"Introducing better functions to our customers with the Fiori app is not easy for consultants."
"The install can be difficult. There's something called secondary sales solutions that is not there in SAP. We need to have third-party tools to integrate to do the automatization. The two parts are missing on the secondary sales solution and automation."
"The cost is definitely high, so SAP does have a growth solution, which is slightly cheaper compared to other offerings with SAP. A lot more customers would adopt it if they reduced the price by around twenty to twenty-five percent."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"As for pricing, it depends on the business size and flow. If it's a medium-sized business, it might seem affordable, but for larger businesses with complex processes, it could be considered expensive."
