What is our primary use case?
I use
Microsoft Power Automate in facilities management. I have built a full power automation with Power BI. We integrated it with multiple asset management solutions to extract dashboards or automation data into Power BI using
Microsoft Power Automate. This allows us to perform data analytics through visualization and make informed decisions by C-levels and board members.
What is most valuable?
The most valuable feature for me is the process mining capability. It helps show the optimal way to utilize a process by discovering, validating, and improving the process automation. For example, when building a process from start to end, I may not be sure if it is efficient or optimized. This feature provides validation and improvement of the process using process mining. Additionally, it has amazing integration capabilities with multiple systems, directly working with the database.
What needs improvement?
The coding part could be improved. Sometimes, there are triggers that require coding. I would prefer if it were more low-code, so I wouldn't need to resolve these issues. It would be better to make it a wizard more than requiring coding.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been working with Microsoft Power Automate for five to six years.
What was my experience with deployment of the solution?
Deployment has been smooth. It takes one day, a maximum of eight hours up to one day.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
I have not faced any stability issues recently. Everything is stable for me.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Microsoft Power Automate is scalable enough for me and my customers. I would rate scalability as nine.
How are customer service and support?
I have contacted the technical support of Microsoft regarding some issues, and their support is good. I would rate their support as nine.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
Before working with Microsoft Power Automate, I used
RPA solutions for another company using
Blue Prism. However, I cannot directly compare them, as it depends on the industry, customer needs, and number of systems or processes being automated.
How was the initial setup?
The setup of Microsoft Power Automate is easy. On a scale of one to ten, ten being very easy, I would rate it as a nine.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
Microsoft Power Automate is reasonably priced compared to others in the market. However, I do not remember the exact license cost per user or per year.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
I did
RPA for another company using
Blue Prism.
What other advice do I have?
My advice to those planning to use Microsoft Power Automate is to understand the platform well, specifically how to use it with databases and manage data effectively. Start with smaller processes and then scale them up across departments and the organization. Utilize the standard templates provided by Microsoft to avoid conflicts with governance or security. Overall, I would give Microsoft Power Automate a nine out of ten.
