Reveals real bottlenecks, but pricing and usability need work still require improvement.
SAP Signavio Process Manager could be improved in several areas to make it more competitive and accessible. From my experience, the strongest opportunity lies in enhancing its process mining capabilities. While Signavio offers solid functionality, other tools like Celonis provide deeper insights and more seamless integrations, especially when working with large datasets or complex execution paths. Strengthening the integration layer and expanding native process mining features would significantly elevate the platform. Another area for improvement is pricing. The solution tends to be positioned at a premium level, which can limit adoption compared to other tools that offer similar or stronger capabilities at a more accessible cost. A more flexible or tiered pricing model would make the product more appealing to a broader range of organizations. Regarding usability, while the platform is powerful, it can feel advanced for users who do not have a process engineering background. Improving the user interface and offering more intuitive guidance for non-technical stakeholders would help increase engagement and ease of use across teams. In terms of support, the setup experience is manageable, especially with technical assistance, but there is room for SAP to provide more consistent and accessible support to ensure a smoother learning curve for new users. Overall, enhancements in process mining depth, integration capabilities, pricing flexibility, and user-friendliness would make SAP Signavio Process Manager a more compelling and widely adoptable solution.

Powerful workflow definition enhances operational stability and efficiency
TIBCO ActiveMatrix BPM is powerful for defining workflows. It is low code, so you don't need a lot of coding, and tasks are just drag and drop. It is also very stable as we haven't had issues with it going down or encountering any operational issues for a long time. The stability and rich features in workflow definition make it a valuable tool.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The benefit of this application is that I can immediately describe processes and form normative documents for these processes. For me, this is definitely a plus. Сurrently, I work in a company that is not involved in the structural alignment of business processes. They have huge gaps in this. Nothing is described and there are no norms. Therefore, the formation of regulatory documents, rules, and descriptions of processes, not only in graphic form, but also in documentary form is an absolute plus. I have not found this in other process programs."
"When comparing my experience with Celonis and Signavio, I can discern the distinctions between these two platforms. However, I'm unable to differentiate between ARAs and add-ons, as that falls outside my scope of familiarity. Regarding Celonis, it comes with its set of advantages and disadvantages. Notably, it boasts robust features like action flows, task mining, and seamless integration with AML programming. Conversely, Signavio lacks action flows and instead relies on action segments and tasks for interaction. This discrepancy is a significant factor setting Selenium and SecureView apart. In the context of Signavio, it offers a combination of BPMN and process discovery, a feature absent in Celonis. This tandem of BPMN and process insight contributes to Signavio’S potency. Meanwhile, Celonis primarily features the process miner tool, setting it apart from Signavio. These variations collectively outline the numerous differences existing between Celonis and Signavio."
"The Signavio tool is very easy to use and it is one of the reasons why I like it."
"Overall, we are really happy with this product."
"This functionality ("invite anyone for feedback") has substantially increased visibility over work-in-progress when it comes to process modelling and overall process management and it decreased the time spent on giving and receiving feedback through emails and through sharing screenshots/.ppt files/Visio files etc."
"The interface is very intuitive and includes a drag-and-drop function."
"I have done a lot of modeling over quite a number of years, and I think that the modeling capabilities in Signavio are state of the art."
"The collaboration hub, which helps us in terms of being able to communicate with our customers, brings everybody into the tool and close to the process, allowing them to comment and to implement their own processes."
"The workflow feature works very well, we also get very good notifications at each and every stage on where the installation process is, the integrations are very good, the scheduling and the calendar are very useful, and in the onboarding they integrate into our internal Active Directory so we don't have any problems with the BPM, it works."
"The TIBCO product helped us solve an interfacing issue between platforms that may have been more difficult with other products."
"TIBCO ActiveMatrix BPM is powerful for defining workflows."
"It is the best product because of its stability. ActiveMatrix 5.x is highly stable in production, and the downtime is very low. I have worked on a lot of service projects, and the engine is very stable, robust, and scalable. The development and change requests can be pushed quickly, and the mapper activity and SSLT kind of features are also good. It is easy to do changes, testing, and deployment. Its deployment is very easy, and we can automate a lot of scripts for our on-premises solution. I work for an investment bank, and we have automated a lot of processes for our customers. Previously, we used to develop scripts and tools. With version 6.x, everything is moved to Maven and other things. Environment handling is done mostly through DevOps tools. As compared to Mulesoft, the deployment and configuration are very easy in TIBCO."
"TIBCO ActiveMatrix BPM is powerful for defining workflows."
"The customization is the most valuable feature, the BPM is very good, the interface is very user-friendly, and I like that it's an end-to-end product and complete solution."
"For specific situations this can be a good solution and a simplified interface to work with."
"The scheduling and the calendar are very useful."

Cons

"For me, given I've got a lot of experience working with BPMN and other process management tools, in terms of the interface, I think there's a little bit more that can be improved to match what the conventional BPMN offers."
"The solution’s pricing could be improved."
"Migrating some models from the legacy system — that was seven years out of date — wasn't as simple as I thought it would be."
"The user management functionality in Process Manager is not as user friendly as the one in the Collaboration Hub."
"I think the price of SAP Signavio Process Manager is a little bit high. Although it is an SAP solution, the price is the most notable issue I found, as other options have better prices for their solutions."
"Being able to integrate the Workflow Accelerator with more products would be good."
"There are some small graphical bugs, but they are addressed immediately by Signavio to their product development team."
"SAP Signavio Process Manager's UI is not user-friendly. Its pricing is also high."
"The scalability of the product is an area of concern where improvements are required."
"The solution is crazy-expensive."
"ActiveMatrix is in the middle field. MuleDB is more on the engineering side with Java and other things. SnapLogic is there are on the higher side with very low coding. TIBCO stays in the middle like IBM or Oracle. TIBCO can move towards IBM's way of doing. IBM has a big market and many varieties of products and good integration, which TIBCO doesn't have. It can have better integration. TIBCO's transition to the cloud is a little slow. As compared to Dell, Boomi, and Mulesoft. TIBCO took the steps a little later. TIBCO's ID was far better and easier to work with previously. TIBCO's 5.x ID was very good, and the development environment and the transition were easy. Version 6.5 onwards, it is a stable product, but it would be good if they can do something similar to version 5.4 with version 6. They should concentrate on this API market. It will give them the strength and the ability to grab the market back."
"The maintenance of the package could be improved."
"My experience with tech support has not been very good. Most of the time, issues are escalated to level three, where they are either unresolved or take two weeks to address."
"It is not lightweight and requires a lot of disk space, memory, and CPU."
"Sometimes it's not stable, but it is a complete solution."
"The connectivity right now is poor because not a lot of protocols are supported, so we had some trouble setting up a proper BPM connection to access cloud data."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It is expensive. The license is monthly."
"This solution provides really great value for the money."
"SAP is always more expensive. The per-user cost is hard to calculate and forecast for a big company."
"We are using the free trial version."
"Comparatively, it is a bit costly when you look at similar tools with similar features."
"SaaS has no setup cost, just licensing fees."
"I found the pricing of the solution to be moderate compared to other choices."
"SAP Signavio charges a lot of money."
"TIBCO ActiveMatrix BPM is an expensive tool compared to others."
"There are some discussions about perpetual licenses and conversions, but I'm not much familiar with them."
