Recently, the price of SAP CRM has increased, which is one concern. Another issue is that sometimes we experience slow performance. Reports in SAP CRM itself can become very slow. Other than that, it is a very good CRM system. I am happy with SAP CRM because whenever we have requirements for changes or customization as per our needs, we get them, and the downtime is minimal. We are getting very good support from the incident team and the in-house support team who are responsible for customization. Some customer centers have moved to Salesforce, but I don't have any experience with Salesforce to make a comparison.

There's definitely room for process improvement in SAP Service Cloud. In my opinion, what can be better in SAP Service Cloud includes having the data center existence properly implemented. Not all cloud solutions are present in data centers. While we evaluate the product, we have to check the existence of the product in all nearest data centers. For example, while I check the data center through the Trust Center on SAP's website, I found that most cloud solutions are installed in Riyadh, but they are missing some very important tools such as LeanIX, which is not existent in Saudi Arabia. E-commerce solutions are also missing, and some aspects of C4C, such as Customer Data Cloud, are not present in many data centers. Not all components in cloud solutions exist in key centers in the Middle East and North Africa. They evaluate demand before installation, but having all solutions in the center point could encourage sales cycles.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Compared to other systems, SAP CRM has been reliable, stable, and cost-effective for us."
"Its scalability is good."
"The solution assists us in identifying what to send, what to offer, and what customers are buying."
"It was comfortable setting up the tool."
"The product integrates with third-party tools easily."
"It provides innovative ideas for implementation."
"SAP CRM's most valuable at a branch level."
"The solution is highly scalable."
"The embedded AI inside SAP, called Business AI, impacts decision-making and resolution times significantly, working as a smart conversational chat in Joule to create dashboards and compare historical data with sales forecasts."

Cons

"The tool's installation on the cloud takes time, but it should be easier. One transaction takes around one to one and a half hours."
"The product is very expensive."
"SAP CRM could improve by being easier to use and customer-friendly."
"As SAP CRM is still in its pilot version in my company, and my team is still experimenting on it, there's little room for exploration, but its setup is not as straightforward, so this could be an area for improvement."
"The B2C features of SAP are strong, but they are not very known to the public and companies. They must make it more known for B2C applications or B2C use cases."
"When features do get added, we would like the product to notify us in a timely way."
"Content management is one area where SAP CRM could use some work because we were seeking a CRM solution that could store BLOB data, like PDF and email data, which takes up a lot of space in the database. Recently, we migrated to a content server, but it would be nice if CRM had built-in BLOB data management because BLOB data is a challenge we've been dealing with since last year."
"Improvement is needed for SAP CRM's integration with Microsoft Teams and Outlook Its integration with Microsoft collaboration software, including Teams, Outlook, and SharePoint, is not very good. There are issues with synchronization between appointments in CRM and Outlook, as well as challenges with managing contacts, which creates problems."
"Not all components in cloud solutions exist in key centers in the Middle East and North Africa."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The product is costly."
"SAP CRM costs approximately a couple of thousand a month."
"SAP CRM offers a free trial for anyone wanting to test the product before purchasing it."
"Its price is reasonable. As compared to other CRMs, this CRM is competitively priced. They have multiple flavors with different sets of functionality. Pricing is based on the flavor that suits your requirement. If you have more users, the cost will come down."
"There is a license required for the solution and most of my clients purchase an annual license."
"The company has seen an increase in revenue."
"We have to pay a yearly licensing fee for SAP CRM, which is expensive."
"There is a license required to use SAP CRM."
