Automating processes has saved time and improved communication
Something frustrates me concerning Microsoft Power Automate, and that is about the integration with Microsoft Forms and Excel. The issue now is that I don't get my responses synchronized automatically, and that frustrates me a lot. If the team could take this as feedback, the synchronization of the feedback responses from the forms and the Excel sheets should be seamless. This synchronization issue happens frequently, and it causes a lot of delays in the sense that the mails that ought to go out to the agents fail at some point. I have to reload these responses so that the agents can get their responses as when submitted. What I notice is that the responses don't go out without proper synchronization, so I reload the field responses, and this works afterwards. I would say probably a seamless walkthrough process for new users would be beneficial. For those using it for the first time, a seamless walkthrough process would be fine.

Helps automate processes but needs to offer different licensing models to users
Right now, I am not working on process mining at the minute. Before I switched to the company, I worked extremely closely with the process mining tool from UiPath, SAP BTP, and the process mining that they had created. I am working with MuleSoft Automation and Anypoint. We are not doing any sort of process mining at the minute, but in my company, because MuleSoft is one of the only RPA tools that we are looking at, we have another application called Appian that we are trying to explore now. Appian has process mining capability, which is why we thought we would look at it along with AI capabilities.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The most valuable feature is the ability and ease of linking multiple connectors within the same flow."
"There is an exhaustive amount of templates that users have access to."
"To me, what's most useful in WinAutomation by Softomotive is that it's quite intuitive, especially because most of the capabilities of the older WinAutomation remain. You also don't need to do or know hard coding, and this is another useful feature of the solution. I also like that WinAutomation by Softomotive integrates very well with Microsoft products, especially Microsoft Office, and this is great news because most companies use Microsoft Office. Having a very good integration with the Microsoft Office suite covers a lot of bases, and is one of the advantages of WinAutomation by Softomotive."
"The initial setup is pretty straightforward."
"Power Automate Desktop allowed me to quickly visually identify parts of a screen and record it. So I can see that I know I'm going to have to click this button here, this field there, and this tab here, and I can literally go and quickly just record all of them and identify them and have them in a list that I can see and say - there's my list of things."
"It is a very useful solution. You don't need to create an infrastructure in your environment just for triggers or executions. You don't need to invest in the infrastructure. With Power Automate, we can call or trigger custom web services and routines. We are also using the flow for gathering data from Microsoft Dynamics."
"The most valuable features of Microsoft Power Automate are the connectors, such as loops, which make things easier."
"Currently, we are mostly using the desktop part of it for data. We are basically extracting the data and then putting it in."
"Scalability is fine. It is pretty nice."
"The initial setup of SAP Contextor is easy."
"Contextor is a good solution for a Citrix environment. It's the first with this tool. Other tools provide the same functionality, but not with the Citrix environment."
"It is a stable solution...It is a scalable solution."
"The most valuable feature of SAP Contextor is that everyone is in one place in the program that I need."
"Most of the details are already in the help portal and SAP notes are available. It is well documented as part of the product support."
"The standout features of SAP Intelligent RPA are its flexibility and integration capabilities."
"It is remarkably easy to configure and code, and it doesn't require an extensive technical background or coding expertise."

Cons

"When you are doing desktop automation, they do not have a clear structure to create the code."
"For countries in our region, it's not very well known."
"I need to have more integration capabilities from this solution."
"Automatic selectors that allow me to select parts of a website could be more adaptable."
"The solution could have more integration with different platforms."
"We need a more powerful desktop option."
"There is a limitation in setting up loops, where it does not support multiple conditions."
"During their merger, some key functions were eliminated which no longer allows it to run independently from the cloud as a standalone for other companies. For example, options to schedule and trigger have been removed. It would be nice to have these capabilities back. The flow and the connectivity between databases and so on is a bit complex as well."
"One way SAP Intelligent RPA could improve is by integrating built-in DI services for document processing."
"I found that the SAP scripting of a program is easier than SAP Contextor."
"The initial setup is of medium complexity. It is neither too hard nor too simple. You need some background in SAP and an understanding of it."
"For potential features or improvements, one aspect I would suggest enhancing is the flexibility of the extraction process."
"There should be more of an error, like a proper error feature, in future releases. Sometimes, we don't understand why that automation is not learning what, like, where it is stuck, or what is the reason like, or what is the criteria we are missing to add. So a proper error message would be helpful."
"SAP Contextor could improve by automating some processes."
"I would like to see a better capacity for unstructured data, for example, PDF, or text within images."
"The tool's licensing has been kind of a challenge...At the moment, the tool does not offer different licensing models to users."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"You pay for use and if you want a premium connector or adapter, but a lot of things are available for free."
"I am not aware of the recent pricing model, but during the time that I was using this solution is was reasonable."
"My company switched to a monthly payment for the WinAutomation by Softomotive license. I don't have the exact figure, but it roughly amounts to 500 Euros a year which isn't bad."
"I don't deal with the financial side. I know that we pay for a per-user license. It is probably less than $20 a user, but I am not sure about the exact figures."
"Its licensing cost is comparatively less as compared to Automation Anywhere. We have bought a two-year license agreement."
"There are many different ways to license it."
"The price of the solution is reasonable. I rate the pricing a five out of ten."
"Its licensing is flexible."
"This is not a tool or software with a license as others are. The SaaS model is based on the usage of the tool."
"The initial cost might seem higher, but over time, with continued use over five or ten years, the cost tends to decrease, making it a more economical choice."
"It all comes with a bundle right now. Having advanced features, it is competitively priced."
"The pricing is not that expensive. It is manageable."
