Automating processes has saved time and improved communication
Something frustrates me concerning Microsoft Power Automate, and that is about the integration with Microsoft Forms and Excel. The issue now is that I don't get my responses synchronized automatically, and that frustrates me a lot. If the team could take this as feedback, the synchronization of the feedback responses from the forms and the Excel sheets should be seamless. This synchronization issue happens frequently, and it causes a lot of delays in the sense that the mails that ought to go out to the agents fail at some point. I have to reload these responses so that the agents can get their responses as when submitted. What I notice is that the responses don't go out without proper synchronization, so I reload the field responses, and this works afterwards. I would say probably a seamless walkthrough process for new users would be beneficial. For those using it for the first time, a seamless walkthrough process would be fine.

Is user-friendly and easy for beginners to understand
I like that it's user-friendly and easy for beginners to understand. It's not complex.  The setup is complicated, it should be simplified.  I am a beginner with Tricentis RPA, we've been using it for three to four months.  We haven't had any issues with stability or scalability.  I haven't had…

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The most valuable feature of Microsoft Power Automate is the ability to automate tedious tasks."
"The integrations that are built into Power Automate for those different Microsoft functions are good."
"The most valuable feature of Microsoft Power Automate in the desktop version is web scraping because you can do a lot with it. I work in retail and you can study prices changes, which can give you a lot of information. The solution is no code which is a large advantage."
"Microsoft Power Automate's no-code workflows help my team in daily operations to a great extent."
"The most valuable feature is the ability to integrate across multiple systems."
"The initial setup is pretty straightforward."
"The most valuable feature of Microsoft Power Automate is the many functionalities, and ease of use. We had summer interns from college in their second year of engineering and they were able to start the building process quickly within a day."
"It has a gamut of things. Power Automate is easy to configure. It is more for a citizen developer. It is low code/no code. It is one of the easiest tools when it comes to configuration. By default, we have a lot of Microsoft products on our laptops or desktops. So, it is very easy to configure the remaining products."
"I like that it's user-friendly and easy for beginners to understand. It's not complex."

Cons

"It lacks a lot of functionality that other tools have. There should be queue management, and there should also be the capability to deal with a little bit more complex automation. If it had queue support and if it was capable of doing more complex automation, it would be a much better tool."
"There are two versions of the automation suite. You've got your cloud functionality, and you have got your on-premises functionality for legacy systems. There are a lot of functionalities between the two systems that don't cross-correlate with each other. A lot of the functionality in the cloud system is not there on the production side in the on-prem system. If they could implement some of the similar functionalities and streamline them for integration, it would be a lot easier. There should be seamless integration between the two systems."
"During their merger, some key functions were eliminated which no longer allows it to run independently from the cloud as a standalone for other companies. For example, options to schedule and trigger have been removed. It would be nice to have these capabilities back. The flow and the connectivity between databases and so on is a bit complex as well."
"Execution of workflows could be improved."
"Better support is needed for building custom components on top of ProcessRobot."
"Microsoft Power Automate's basic activities are not strong."
"We find the solution to be not that user-friendly, and might be using the older version, which really did not have a lot of features, so my review is mostly based on the older version."
"The thing which needs the most improvement is really the documentation. It should have better details of the processes."
"The setup is complicated, it should be simplified."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Good price-quality relationship. Its features for its price were the best fit for our company."
"The solution is $150 per month for the unattended add-on, and the normal Power Automate comes with an E3 license."
"It had by far the fairest licensing on the market. For the money, you got a very good value."
"Due to the pricing model, the solution is more convenient than any other tools."
"The free version is quite good."
"Currently, we are using the free license for testing. After everything is done, we'll buy the license."
"There should be increased transparency about which features attend the pricing."
"The cost to use Microsoft Power Automate is approximately $15 per user per month, for the basic plan. However, the solution comes free with the Microsoft 365 Suite."
