Enables management of multiple operating systems with a single license
The best feature is that it's a Microsoft product, so if anything goes wrong, we get quick support for anything required. Remote system functionality allows us to sit anywhere and take control of any device via remote management. We can enhance security for clients' laptops with built-in Microsoft Defender, which is available with the Microsoft Intune license. We use it for reporting purposes through endpoint analytics. When pushing scripting, there are two types available: remediation script and reservation script. Through endpoint analytics, you can push defender policies to clients. It helps with reporting, inventory updates, and monitoring tenant status health.

Graphical interface improves diagnostics, but external integration and support team knowledge need enhancement
I am working with SOTI XSight for some customers. Mainly in Hong Kong, we primarily have government customers The graphical user interface within SOTI XSight is intuitive and much more beautiful than traditional SOTI MobiControl. The user interface is a critical component of the diagnostic tools.…

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"One of the most valuable aspects of Microsoft Intune is its seamless integration with Azure Active Directory, offering capabilities akin to Group Policy Objects."
"Intune provides a centralized management solution, although its suitability depends on specific needs and comparisons with alternatives like Jamf, Kandji, or ManageEngine."
"It is very easy to use. It has a very easy interface."
"Microsoft Intune simplifies device management by replacing the traditional method of installing OS, joining a domain, and configuring everything manually."
"If I assess Intune's user experience, I would say it is perfect and simple."
"The automatic patching is the most valuable feature of Intune."
"While I don't think you can ever have full visibility and control, Intune certainly allows us to see the applications being used and tells us if things like Windows patches aren't applied to machines. It does a good job. That visibility makes life a little easier."
"We are using the mobile feature, and we are also using MDM to lock the devices, to push restrictions, et cetera"
"I recommend SOTI XSight to other businesses because it ensures device availability and helps avoid operational delays that could impact revenue."
"The graphical user interface within SOTI XSight is intuitive and much more beautiful than traditional SOTI MobiControl."

Cons

"There could be more competent processes and improvements in the policy space."
"The biggest problem we ever have is when something goes out of date after 30 days when nobody has logged into it. We do have a problem trying to get those back online. We've been working with Microsoft to resolve that problem, but that's been the only issue that we've had in the last few years."
"The user interface should be more user-friendly, as it can sometimes be challenging to navigate. Microsoft often relocates features, making it difficult to consistently find what I need."
"Microsoft Intune could be improved by adding short video tutorials or direct links to Microsoft articles in the information button."
"There were several bugs with stability."
"Each feature has a separate license, making logistics and cost management difficult if not strategically bundled together."
"The way the apps are getting deployed, the checkboxes for deleting previous versions are actually creating more conflicts than fixing problems."
"Microsoft Intune fails a lot when it comes to device compliance."
"The subscription model could be improved, as it is not familiar in the Southeast Asian regions."
"The technical support by SOTI is only average."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"For organizations that are a Microsoft shop, the pricing is compelling."
"I don't have any problem as far as cost is concerned. It is bundled with our license."
"Intune's pricing is reasonable considering its benefits and the high costs it helps avoid."
"This cost is approximately $30 USD per user per month."
"No one can compete with Microsoft when it comes to price, and the features it is offering."
"Even if they charge a premium, they aim to provide equal value."
"Intune comes with the licensing that is common for large organizations. However, Microsoft has recently released many add-ons that are very expensive, especially for large organizations or corporations."
"It's reasonable. They're not giving it away, but it's reasonable."
