Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The UI is so smart.""The automation process is one of the best.""We use also integration with Jira, to see the updates so the CSM team can see the update from Jira.""Being able to see everything at a glance and check task status, is wonderful.""It helps us to keep track of all of the remaining tasks on a project and the remaining number of days that exist on a project.""We are a lot more organized, and have transparency throughout key areas of our business thanks to this solution.""Marking the status of deliverables is the most useful aspect.""The solution just makes it so much easier to keep track of where things are."

"The most valuable feature of the JIRA Portfolio is the many features it provides, such as code integration, documentation, roadmap, and Eclipse. The solution is useful for product managers.""We have found the solution to be stable.""The documentation is very well done.""The initial setup is simple.""Jira's Structure, agile, and Kanban boards are helpful. I also like JQuery, which allows you to fetch the relevant set of data. We use JQuery, JQL, and the Structure board a lot. Kanban boards help us monitor daily tasks, and we review the progress using the burndown charts.""Portfolio's most valuable features are that it's user-friendly and customer-centric.""The feature that we like the most is that JIRA enables modules. Atlassian provides a lot of products around JIRA, such as compliance for the documentation, BitBucket for the Git version. We are new to these products developed by Atlassian, but they can integrate very easily. Generally, when an editor is developing a solution, they think about integrating with JIRA. When we are looking for any other solution, they plan to easily integrate with JIRA.""Its stability is very reliable."

"Micro Focus Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) has a very strong workflow engine.""Has a powerful workflow engine that allows creation of workflow complexities and processes."

Cons
"There are some small usability issues which can be an inconvenience.""The permission settings require workarounds for some use cases.""The mobile app is not as user-friendly and as adaptable as I'd like it to be.""A message center that is similar to texting or Facebook Messenger would be useful.""Email notifications from Monday.com can sometimes not lead to the relevant update I am being notified about, which can be frustrating.""Some of the automation is having some technical difficulties.""Having more pre-defined formats and/or templates or having the ability to make public some formats/templates (not the information on them) would be useful.""It would be nice to have more custom automation and also to simplify some steps to better manage a team and a workload for projects."

More monday.com Cons →

"It would be nice if it could provide an end-to-end solution for a project.""We would love to be able to have direct contact with Atlassian. Currently, they are not working directly with West African countries. We are considering using JIRA Align, but when we contact them, they say that as we are in West Africa, they don't directly work with West Africa.""Jira has room for improvement in terms of managing various projects and linking requirements centrally under one project. They could include some add-ons that enable you to link all the requirements and put them into a centralized place. That central place should be restricted to a limited set of users with privileges based on user groups with those rights.""JIra is very poor at reporting.""If you want to generate a report for individual usage, it's difficult.""The kanban board could also use some more filters. We just had a project where the deployment for Jira didn't have any ETA, and it's a requirement for the client. We accommodate a lot of issues on the board, so the workaround was to create boards by project, not client.""The HR aspect of the solution could be improved.""Converting a task into an epic is very troublesome."

More JIRA Portfolio Cons →

"The solution can sometimes be a little inflexible and a bit caustic.""The user interface is very, very old and is missing some functions, such as, for example, re-do, follow, and share functions. The UI is not good."

  • "Fees are paid monthly per user."
  • "The price is reasonable for the number of users we have."
  • "I am using its free version."
  • "We tell others it's about $2200 for a ten-person plan and it can be adjusted; it's easy to scale."

    Reviews from Real Users

monday.com stands out among its competitors for a number of reasons. Two major ones are its task status feature and its ability to integrate with external apps. PeerSpot users take note of the advantages of these features in their reviews:

Ben D., Front End Developer at a marketing services firm, writes of the product, “Their flagship feature, what used to be called the pulse, is great. Pulse offers great management. Being able to see everything at a glance and check task status, is wonderful. They use subtasks and the simple aspects of task management have been really helpful.”

Another PeerSpot reviewer, the Head of Projects at Smart Media SA, notes, “The boards offer an amazing and clear view of my tasks, campaigns, and progress. Automations especially with Slack and Outlook help with keeping my team up-to-date always. Graphs and charts are valuable for reporting purposes and to track progress made. Workforms/surveys are valuable and a very cool added feature.”

The agile portfolio management tool, built for JIRA.

With Portfolio for JIRA, you can plan and forecast a realistic roadmap, make data-informed decisions when the unexpected happens, and keep everyone in the know.

HPE Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) provides critical information in real time to help you make the right investment decisions. It standardizes, manages, and captures the execution of project and operational activities as well as resources.
