Utilizing versatile features for efficient personal and work meetings
Zoom offers a number of interesting and valuable features. One of the most interesting is the ability to share only audio and provide ambient music without sharing a screen. The breakout room feature is much more developed than other solutions, allowing users to stay in the same meeting and move to different rooms and back to the main room. The sharing features are great for projecting people who should be in focus. Another valuable feature is the virtual entrance, which uses a username and password recognized by the Zoom system, showing the person's full name and ID. Additionally, the use of video and a good fixed background improves visibility compared to other applications. These features differentiate Zoom from others.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"You can use the Cisco Meeting Server to set up conference calls and virtual meetings. Those are the two primary functions of Meeting Server. Most people in the company are using Microsoft Teams, so we only use Meeting Server when we have an internal meeting for all staff."
"What I like most about Cisco Meeting Server is its quick management. The solution also has a straightforward configuration."
"The UI is user-friendly and very good overall."
"The share screen option available during conferences is one of the best features of Cisco Meeting Server."
"Cisco Meeting Server is an easy and less complex solution."
"Ability to record interviews."
"There is no installation, you can give someone a link to the chat and they can access the chat through the link."
"Zoom provides different background screen functionalities for privacy protection."
"With Zoom or Teams, it is very easy to share content and the ability to conduct reviews is beneficial."
"The platform has a solid feature for scheduling short meetings worth 30 minutes."
"All you need is a laptop or mobile device and a connection to the internet."
"The collaboration features are good."
"The solution is stable."

Cons

"What would make Cisco Meeting Server better is integrating it with Zoom and Teams so that you can connect or make a call through any of the two third-party solutions."
"This is a difficult solution to install and it should be made easier."
"In Cisco Meeting Server, GUI is an area of concern where improvements are required."
"Cisco Meeting Server should include a feature to control another user's screen during a remote session."
"A few features are missing on the Meetings app, like a recording function. My understanding is that you need to buy a separate recording solution. It's modular, so you have to enable some functions if you want to use them. For example, we had to enable the Mood function. Recording is the primary feature we'd like to see in the app."
"Sometimes can get confused about which password setting or parameter setting to use. For example, if I want to issue a Zoom meeting to my team members or perhaps sometimes I want them to issue a Zoom directly when I receive the Zoom accounts from our IT department, I don't know how to enable or disable these features in the Zoom. I think it's a personal issue I have."
"We have had some quality and lagging issues with video regardless of connection quality."
"Zoom could be more secure."
"Extra security would be a good added feature."
"Sometimes when I try to share my screen in a conference room, I have to click the share button more than once. This happens around fifty percent of the time."
"The updating feature of Zoom needs to be improved."
"There are occasional latency, sound and audio quality difficulties."
"They could improve security more."
