LucidChart vs LucidSpark for brainstorming sessions over Zoom

I'm a consultant and I need to run client brainstorming sessions over Zoom.

I already have LucidChart but haven't used it for this purpose. Does LucidSpark offer advantages (vs LucidChart) for this use?

Please share your opinions. Thanks.

Hi @Krista Thompson - Yes, LucidSpark is a much more nimble and, in some ways, user-friendly tool than LucidChart. LucidSpark is designed to do a better job managing multiple users participating simultaneously and I've found its ease of use is really helpful when working with clients who likely don't have any previous experience.

I use LucidChart for detailed process maps and flow charts (just me, working alone). I used LucidSpark as a virtual whiteboard for dynamic brainstorming (working collaboratively).

I hope this helps!

I definitely recommend Lucidchart. I feel it is one of the top visual collaboration platforms that’s available on the market. Out of all the solutions I have tried, it is by far the best for diagramming, whiteboarding, and data visualization. It practically allows you to diagram anything from ideas, information, and processes to drive better business decisions. The reasons why I like it most is because it helps optimize business processes, enables you to visualize technical systems, makes it possible for you to brainstorm with remote teams, allows you to design a superior user experience, and lets you plan and deploy new features faster. Here are some of its biggest benefits: See deeper into your organization: Lucidchart has good people management. The solution helps you identify staffing needs, manage cross-functional teams, and ensure employees are paid equitably. In addition, Lucidchart makes it possible for you to connect employee data to organization charts and automatically generate a view that works for you. Helps optimize your network: With Lucidchart, your organization can monitor the status of your network and optimize its performance as your company grows. You can close deals faster: By implementing Lucidchart, you can shorten your sales cycle with account mapping. The solution enables you to import contact data automatically from Salesforce to create a holistic view of the account. Better communication: Lucidchart helps your organization quickly understand what you need to build, and also allows you to easily convey your ideas to team members and stakeholders who may have different levels of technical knowledge. Increased efficiency: With Lucidchart you are able to visualize your processes in current and future states, identify bottlenecks and areas of improvement, and process implementation, all of which help boost your organization’s efficiency. Improve project management: Lucidchart helps you keep projects on track. You can scope your projects accurately, monitor status, and keep your team aligned on project progress. Besides having great benefits and many advantages, here are some of the solution’s powerful features I like most: Compatibility: Lucidchart is compatible with PC, Mac, and Linux systems. The solution’s cloud-based platform and intuitive interface make it simple to start diagramming, regardless of which device, browser, or operating system is being used. Diagramming: Your team can diagram together from anywhere. Teams can work collaboratively with real-time co-authoring, in-editor chat, shape-specific comments, and collaborative cursors. Data linking: Lucidchart allows you to instantly see data in context. With Lucidchart, you can overlay important metrics on existing diagrams through data linking or use auto-visualization to generate organization charts, ERDs, and more. Easy integration: Lucidchart can easily integrate with your most-used apps. It enables you to start new diagrams or include existing visuals where conversations are already happening, such as Google Workspace, Atlassian, Microsoft Office, Asana, and Slack. Scalability: Lucidchart is designed to scale as your company does. You have the option to increase account security through centralized account management, document retention, and more. Overall, I would rate Lucidchart an eight out of ten. Since I started using it, I have been very satisfied.

No, it is a half-baked version of Microsoft Draw. I guess they have a good marketing team. I would never recommend it.

I've been working very well with Miro, it offers a non-experience required user experience.  Lucidspark it's good but when I try it the feeling was that I was using Lucichart with extras, no more, so I would rather choose Miro.  Currently, I'm also experiencing Mural (mural.co), which has some tools for training facilitators that sum, but to work with my remote team I still prefer Miro.
