Enhanced compliance and security through detailed action recordings
We have used ARCON Privileged Access Management for recording videos of user actions taken after logging into systems. Around thirty people, including network engineers, server engineers, and application engineers, use it in the company There hasn't been a notable financial benefit for our…

The technical support team's response time could be improved. After the implementation, Saviynt should provide good support to their customers. While migrating from legacy applications to the cloud, Saviynt has many bugs. The lift and shift are not very seamless. There are a lot of customizations to be done and some development is required. From the migration point of view, the solution is a little buggy.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The technical support is excellent."
"It is recording video records for Windows and command-line reports for others, Linux and AIX, of whatever activities being carries by that particular administrator."
"One standout feature of ARCON is its ability to resolve lagging issues, especially noticeable in Linux environments."
"With this log available, we can drill down to the activities performed by the people within our kiosk. There is a great feature where in the case of Unix servers, we have our own text-based logs. In the case of Window's server, we cannot create a text-based log, so our kiosk takes the screenshot or picture of the screen when I am working. It does this every three seconds."
"We use ARCON Privileged Access Management to monitor and record our admin users' activity."
"Overall, I would rate ARCON Privileged Access Management nine out of ten."
"Session recording is the most valuable feature, as it covers compliance and it also covers our in-house applications."
"The most valuable feature is it is easy to use and the interface is intuitive."
"It's easy to manage and easy to use; a simple tool for end-users."
"Saviynt has better integration with enterprise systems like SAP, Microsoft, Adobe, and AWS."
"Saviynt has a lot of potential with many features available for users."
"The product is flexible to use."
"It gives very good and in-depth knowledge about a particular identity. Everything is through a single click. We get to know the workflows related to a particular identity with a single click."
"Considering the initial cost and the basic features, this is a good solution that provides integration with both on-premise and cloud applications."
"Saviynt provides built-in access recommendations, while SailPoint IdentityNow offers access recommendations through a separate AI integration that requires additional licensing. Saviynt functions as a unified platform for various business operations, consolidating user and access data from multiple sources into a single platform. This allows for leveraging the same user base and data across different business functions, including access governance, privileged access management, data access governance, and third-party access governance. In contrast, SailPoint is a decoupled tool, requiring separate integration for managing access and permissions, especially for unstructured data. Saviynt's approach is more integrated and streamlined, providing a unified platform for access recommendations and various business operations."
"Saviynt is used for the greenfield implementation for the whole IAM, IGA, MFA, SSO, and access management."

Cons

"Anti-bridging should be built into product."
"There are no APIs readily available... I'm working on automation for ARCON so that whatever the ARCON administrator is doing will be automated, rather than having to do it manually. For that, I had to spend months to get the API developed myself. Having that handy out of the box, that would really help..."
"Sometimes it gets stuck between servers and I would like to see this improved in the future."
"ARCON Privileged Access Management is not a user-friendly solution, and the application flow from one screen to another is very complex."
"We expect improvement in the dashboards to provide visibility of password compliance status, whenever a password is opened from the vault. Also, flexibility to customize the live dashboard."
"Currently, along with the upgrade of the ARCON solution, we have to consider the desktops and the endpoints from where the solution will have to be accessed. We have to upgrade those endpoints and desktops as well. So upgrades are not smooth."
"This product is lacking in terms of dashboarding analytics and should have user behavior analytics. It should also have better dashboarding for executive management and security managers, which this product is missing."
"They they should focus on support. The support needs to be very strong. Since the product is becoming stronger, their support team also should be equally strong. They should respond to open queries within the time limit they have set. Their support team should be more technical, to understand the issue or the set up."
"The product lacks a broad user base which makes it difficult sometimes to find answers to questions about the product."
"We sometimes experience performance issues when the solution fails to process the data between two different applications."
"The technical support team's response time could be improved."
"Both SailPoint IdentityNow and Saviynt have some bugs, but SailPoint is considered more mature with fewer bugs due to its longer establishment in the market since around 2005. SailPoint had its share of bugs in the early days, but they have resolved them over time, resulting in a stable product. Saviynt, on the other hand, was launched around 2013 or 2014 and is actively working to improve its product. Despite having some bugs, Saviynt is making progress and aims to build a stable product, but it is not there yet."
"The main difficulty was the integration process itself. But we were able to kind of work through it and fix it. We tried integrating with our HR system and other IBM solutions, like Microsoft Identity Management."
"Saviynt cannot customize based on customer needs."
"The company needs to do more to establish standard practices within the product itself that are common in the industry."
"According to feedback I've received, some users prefer SailPoint over Saviynt in real complex environments. SailPoint has its provisioning platform. Complex integrations may pose challenges in scenarios like a large bank with thousands of users, making SailPoint a preferred choice for some."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"We have a subscription to use this solution."
"Pricing is low and licensing is flexible."
"The product's pricing is a good value. It's appropriately priced. The product has all the required features. It doesn't work in some of the areas but, right now overall, it's pretty good."
"Pricing and licensing are good, very aggressive."
"Product pricing is based on users and connections. We did not have to pay more for additional features."
"The product is available with competitive pricing. Licensing is not complex. We calculated the license requirements by counting the number of admins and the number of devices which were going to integrate with it."
"There are no major concerns with licensing because we can handle multiple servers in our kiosk system."
"The licensing is simple, and there are only two types licensing: device licensing and user-based licensing."
"The product is less expensive than one of the competitors."
"Saviynt's pricing is reasonable."
"Saviynt's pricing is acceptable and licensing costs are yearly."
"If you are investing in securing your data and avoiding any non-compliance issues, then yes, it is certainly recommended. To put it plainly, if you're willing to pay fines and aren't concerned about the misuse of data, then there might not be a problem. However, if you intend to safeguard the data of your employees, vendors, and customers, it becomes crucial. In this context, managing data security requires preventive and detective measures, such as enforcing segregation of duties and regularly reviewing permissions. Throughout an individual's life cycle within an organization or customer life cycle, various access permissions are granted. Without taking action on these permissions, there is a risk of exposure later on. If individuals retain access after leaving the organization, it poses a serious security threat. Implementing solutions like Saviynt can address these challenges, ensuring continuous access review, generating reports, alerts, and identifying potential risks."
"We are not into the licensing part. The clients take care of the licensing part."
"The price of the license for this product is quite expensive."
"The solution has a pay-as-you-go licensing model, and you can subscribe monthly or yearly."
"The pricing is comparable to Azure Entra ID. Kind of the same"
